LUAPULA Province PF Chairperson Nickson Chilangwa has reminded Kelvin Bwalya Fube that the Patriotic Front has already settled for President Edgar Lungu as its Presidential candidate for the 2021 general elections.
Mr. Chilangwa said if Mr. Fube is a true PF member he should by now know that President Lungu is the party and people’s choice for the 2021 polls.
Mr. Chilangwa who is also Luapula Province Minister said Mr. Fube’s announcement that he will run for the PF Presidency in 2021 is a shear waste of time and the earlier he realises the better.
Mr. Chilangwa who is former PF Head of Research Bureau explained that it is desire of of the general membership of the ruling party to field President Lungu as candidate and not everybody else.
“Let me advise my brother KBF to shelve those ambitions because he is just waisting his time. Unless he chooses to form his own political party, then he is free to run for President elsewhere not in PF; here (PF) we have settled for President Lungu,” Mr. Chilangwa said.
And Mr. Chilangwa has warned Mr. Fube never to continue daring the party by his continued act of disrespect to President Lungu.
Mr. Chilangwa wondered why Mr. Fube who is a lawyer has chosen to disrespect the President which which amounts to the total disregard of the party constitution.
” Disrespecting the President of the party is flouting the constitution and can attract penalties. Yesterday, KBF accused the President of having failed; he is just a junior member of the party. The rules and regulations can’t permit that,”
He advised Mr. Fube to tame his mouth in the manner he is speaking against President Lungu.

Further more ask what his young sister has been doing with his supplying business at ZNS head office in Lusaka. KBF young sister Nonde Bwalya has a company supplying goods to ZNS. Nonde has an affair with supplying officer Manga. They have been stealing government money signing documents without tendering goods yet get paid. This Manga last year pregnant Nonde and forced her to carry an abortion. All these are supported by KBF the same guy you want to be your president.

There is democracy in PF. However, if the party has decided that ECL is the candidate KBF is out of order. Maybe if there was a convention he would be within his rights to contest. UPND is the one in need a different leader but I the members are blinded by their shallow agenda. I sincerely believe that when required to step down ECL would easily do so.
Your definition of democracy is dubious if you think PF is democratic.

If a convention is good for UPND then even PF has to do it. One Zambia if PF leads by example then they can force the other parties to do like wise. Zambia is a democracy and Mr Chalangwa must not speak for all in the PF. What I have noticed is that even in the opposition there is no democracy the parties are run by one man and no one is allowed to challenge that one. Zambia is a democracy let him waste his time and try and then we can all outside PF see that the people want this one or that one but to threaten Mr Fube is not fair. Zambia is a democracy and since PF is the ruling party let them be in the forefront of allowing free elections then they can proudly ask UPND, FDD, NDC etc to follow their democratic dispensation. This is the problem in Zambia. The law is interpreted according to the party one belongs and not according to what the law says. No institution is independent in an African country and that is the main reason why despite the continent being endowed with all the natural resources of the world, it is still the poorest continent because office bearers dont exercise their rationale independently.

What is it with P.F always trying to paint their opponents black where intra party democracy is concerned, I followed PF under late Michael Sata, the very first convention they ever held came after 9 years of their existence in opposition and it was held in Kabwe and I remember KK being in attendance. R.B was President at the time. This is very recent History and easily verifiable!! Is there a Rule Book on how political parties must be run, does the National Constitution offer guidance?
