The Patriotic Front (PF) Government Parliamentary Chief Whip Brian Mundubile, has said that if the current constitution goes into the 2021 general elections in its current form, it will be injurious to many Zambians including the oppostional parties who have been losing the elections.
Speaking at the PF media interaction forrum, Mr Mundubile said that among many pertinent items is the extension of the number of days in which a Presidential petition ought to be head from the current 14 to 30 days in reference to UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s outcry from the 2016 elections.
Speaking at the same function, the Patriotic Front Kabwe Central MP, who also party’s Parliamentary Deputy Chief whip said foreign entities should not dictate how Zambia ought to refine its constitution because Zambia has a Parliament mandated by the people to make laws.
Mr Tutwa said that he is aware of foreign institutions funding questionable characters in Zambia to distort the constitution refinement process in Zambia.
Mr. Ngulube further that said that it would be wrong for the opposition to assume that the constitution refinement is meant to Benefit President Edgar Lungu when recommendations were made by all institutions in the country including chiefs.
He expressed shock that the opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and other donor-funded institutions are opposing the constitution refinement process when they were part of its initiation in Siavonga.
Mr Ngulube has advised Zambians not to be swayed from the refinement process by sponsored disgruntled elements on grounds that most amendments will not change Zambia’s position of being a democratic state.

The two PF musketeers think Zambians are fools. The Amendment Bill No.10 doesn’t represent Refinements but wholesome Amendments to mutilate the Current Constitution. PF and Lungu want to Rig the 2021 Elections thru Amendment Bill No.10. They want to transform Zambia from a Constitutional Democracy to a One Party State Dictatorship led by Lungu. LAZ, Churches, Opposition Parties, BOZ, ECZ , ZCTU, NGOS, Legal Associations etc have all rejected Bill 10 in its entirety. Lungu and PF has lost popular support thru Corruption and Misrule and know that they will lose the 2021 Elections so they have to rig the Elections to retain Power. How does introduction of Deputy Ministers help the country?
Today, John Sangwa admits that the 2016 Constitutional Amendment is progressive. The opposition has trashed it from day one. In a similar cycle, the opposition will trash Bill no. 10, just like the Bill of Rights, and later someone will say it was progressive. I think ECLs PF has done very well where the constitution is concerned. As Sangwa has highlighted, the country is so polarised politically, the opposition cannot afford to highlight the positives of the ruling party.

A person with 5 sence can not support NDF bill 10. When majority say no to this there is a reason y. imagin they have failed to pay retirees and they want to remove them on pay roll. how are they going to continue with children education in colleges, feeding, farming etc. pay retirees now. we will all shift to your verander until you pay us if you temper with the pay roll. NDF Bill 10 will bring fire if you dont know. it is not refining it is a time bomb ticking.

We are to decide how we should be governed, therefore, we have a final say on what goes into this powerful document. GOVT is meant to facilitate the the process and not impose their will/wish on this document.
