Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo says President Edgar Lungu has started implementing measures that will address the long hours of load shedding.

Mr Lusambo said President Lungu spends sleepless nights trying to find workable soilutions to the country’s challenges such as load shedding and high mealie meal prices.

He said President Lungu is also equally unhappy that many parts of the country are going for several hours without power.

Mr Lusambo who is also Lusaka Province Ministry was speaking on Saturday afternoon at Milemu grounds in Kabushi during a rally.

He said the 300 MW of power imported from South Africa and the payment of arrears to Maamba Coileries will help cushion the impact of load shedding.

On mealie meal prices, Mr Lusambo said the prices of the staple food has now started reducing.

He said through the Food Reserve Agency, government is offloading subsidized maize to the Millers which is pushing down the prices.

Mr Lusambo who introduced the proprietor of Kamunda Milling, a Kapiri based milling company to the rally said people should not be cheated by those who want to take advantage of the mealie meal situation.

He announced that Kamunda Milling has reduced mealie meal prices with a 25Kg bag of breakfast going for K99 and roller meal at K89.

Mr Lusambo urged other Millers to emulate Kamunda Milling I’m cutting the prices.

He also advised traders in Kabushi constituency to engage Kamunda Milling and enter distributing and retailing partnerships.

Mr Lusambo was accompanied to the rally by PF Deputy Chiefwip Tutwa Ngulube, PF NorthWestern Province Chairman Jackson Kungo and National Cordinator of the President Empowerment Fund Clement Tembo.

And Mr Tembo urged women and youths in Kabushi to form Cooperatives in order to access empowerment funds from the Fund.

He said activities such as block making and poultry business are some of the activities that can be easily funded by the Presidential Empowerment Fund.

At the same rally, Mr Ngulube said the people of Kabushi should continue supporting President Lungu and the area MP Mr Lusambo if they are to benefit from development.

He said President Lungu is the one in the driver’s seat and any kind of development will be channeled through him hence the need to fully support him.

  1. Voting for pf is like going back to your black zambian ex girlfriend who was a leach and dishonest gold digger, when you have a beautiful successful whlte wlfe like mine. It just doesn’t make sense x lusambo is simply a matak0 licker who lacks any self respect. I would not be surprised if he sacrificed his wlfe to sleep with his boss

    • Endless campaigns.. Don’t compete with HH, you will be broke before 2021.
What was that rally of the 4 stooges about?

    • I hv always believed in civil exchange of views no matter the situation. I hv had my fair share of playground fights whn I was kid in primary school. Whn I meet some old sch mates I once fought with, we just laugh it off. I hv no time to insult other people. I just avoid contact or talking to nasty people both in cyberspace and real life.

    • I will vote for pf this time.
I don’t remember when last I bought spare parts.
This is a working Government, very true ka.

    • Bowman stop interfering in Isaac chipampe’s job. When were you appointed state house spokesman? Lungu will tell us about his job not you

    • PF bandit lies….so President Lungu has started addressing Climate Change….you said load shedding was linked to Climate Change….Lusambo prepare for jail time in 2021…you and all your fellow PF bandit cadres including Lungu

    • These are either blatant lies or mere cosmetic solutions. You mean lazy Lungu just woke up from his drunken stupor, and didn’t know about load shedding and mealie meal hikes? Vote these clowns out of office, as they have no clue what they’re doing. Extremely incompetent administration. Corrupt clueless Lungu should have resigned in shame by now, as the guy wouldn’t even qualify to be a dog catcher. He’s completely clueless. Never waste your vote on these clueless clowns again. The circus should be over by 2021. Save our beloved country by voting these bandits out.

    • If the president has started addressing the load shading, what’s the purpose of the minister of energy. Fire him this is why things ain’t working everyone is the spokesperson for PF. You ending up misinforming the nation and in everyone’s speech it’s the president this the president that. What’s the ministers doing ,getting paid for nothing. Come on people we need action now.

    • Where are the prices reducing? These guys have degrees in mockery. At the beginning of this month, the price of meali meal was k150. It is now at k160. Jokers of the decade!

    • If you UPND can address issues surround sex HAGAINST THE HORDER OF NATURE and THREE MANSIONS, TAX HAVASION, PARADISE PAPERS, PRIVATIZATION THIEF, PANAMA, NAMWALA XENOPHOBIA, “SAKWIBA YOU ARE NOT TONGA YOU CANNOT be a UPND President,” maybe the boy can win!

  2. Continue fooling those you can fool. This Kamunda milling can’t even feed the people of kabushi alone. Its a kantemba milling and you are saying they are selling at K99. Nonsense. Talk of milling companies like Antelope, Chimanga change, national milling who can feed the entire copper belt.

  3. He is now spending sleepless nights after lazing around and sleeping 12 hours of the day the last four years, someone just poured a bucket of icy fish scale water and reminded him of how fast time has moved and that he only remains with 18 months.
The Presidency has no honeymoon period you work through a dedicated team of knowledgeable people with a clear set of priorities ,goals and fairness.

  4. On behalf of kabushi residents, take note that we will not vote for pf come 2021.We regret voting for this vision less Lungu dununa reverse. This time we will vote for dununa forward.Tell your musicians to compose a dununa forward song

  5. Continue cheating yourselves..vote PF/Lungu for what?? He has started addressing loadsheding…?? IN THE FIRST PLACE, LOAD SHEDDING SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE IF HE WAS WORKING!! We are TOTALLY DONE WITH LUNGU, 2016 WAS A WAY TO GIVE HIM CHANCE UNDER A FULL A MANDATE AND WE HAVE SEEN WHERE HE HAS SUNK TO… This time we shall try those who have been aspiring for some time to lead this country NOT BA SANGWAPO ANY MORE, a person propelled to power due to misfortunes of death(like his God Father)!!

    • Malume, u dd not voye lungu. Who the hell are u cheating? Those who voted for lungu and PF are not done with PF. Who are representing by misusing the WE? Muzalila come 2021.

  6. Duping the masses , ati maize meal now k99 , but they will not find it.

    Hehehehehe……

Watch how desperate they will become.

18 months is not enough to reverse the effects of the prolonged load shedding….

As if that is not enough, we expect atleast 40 % of new roads to be washed away eith the rains lungu desperately needs. Let’s hope the toll gate takings are ready for road and bridge repair.

  7. Comment:where were you when all this happened. you want people to believe you as if you are doing anything good.we are tired of this part, the champions in corruption, lies, and deceit.what about the forex, will you address how you are going to put measures to control the exchange rate and also fuel.

  8. If we had investigative journalists they would find out how this Kamunda Milling is coping with costs and therefore how it can retail (are they retailing as they mill) their mealie meal at those prices. Bayanu ku Namibia uku wawaulula kuli wene Al Jazeera so they have had to resign. So mweo mufuna cabe Al Jazeera ndiye imene ionelepo bwino-bwino ka? Anyway, they will – they promised me they are still moving.

  9. Otherwise people don’t want to change PF it is the party of choice especially in its strongholds. However, people are frustrated by three issues (1) austerity measures is too much for an ordinary citizens.People are broke in the country.(2) Load shedding has affected many self employed people who are in majority.(3) Meal meal price is too much for the ordinary people to afford.
From now to mid next year the government should hear the cry of major Zambians .They should work on these issues cited above then people will be happy and they easily forget about the past.
As for opposition Kalaba needs to have National character ,CK can’t make a good executive and HH mmm

  10. Hahaha. When prices are going up ati effects of climate change and now when prices are going down ati it is lungu. Leaders must own up to their failures too

    • Lusambo is a dull thug who disturbs a big hornets nest at the entrance with cold water whilst he himself is in the confined room. He started the Sturd Mwale issue till it blew out in his face and he ran away as it was a bigger problem than just an uncompleted clinic in his constituency but endemic corruption in PF.

  11. Ba Bootlicker, Fuel naipwa mutuma Genset twenu ku Kabushi! … kikikiki
Ba PF is now a “Me Too”!movement because their time is running out! Even their campaigns nomba ni chipante pante!

  12. I don’t know where this bowman resides. Where I am mealie meal is still at 160 and going up. Loadshedding is still 18hours. The dollar has breached K14 thereby leading to an increase in prices of all commodities. Yet this man says he has seen a change. Maybe he stays abroad and flies to work every day.

    • He has nowhere to go after Lungu, Lungu saved this MMD thug who was living in a two room shack in a matter of two years he is donating trucks of maize, gensets and calling himself a Philanthropist.

  13. This cantankerous bull frog Bowman Lusambo he just clumsily hops around from one issue to another even issues he does not understand. You were in Munali making noise and bullying civil servants for nothing, a proper government would have fired you but since mediocrity is your modus operandi your small God Lungu was so proud of you.

  14. What does dununa Reeves mean? Pushing back all the developments in the country backwards by PF.then some other *****s you still support PF why? Load shedding 18hrs per day mean you use only 4 hrs electricity at middle night just to charge phones.any person support PF you are ***** you understand?

  15. Malume, u dd not voye lungu. Who the hell are u cheating? Those who voted for lungu and PF are not done with PF. Who are representing by misusing the WE? Muzalila come 2021.

    • So Mr Wina azalila you going around threatening oeople about saying we…yes we meaning me and my family are tired of the current govetnment with poor spending and overbinflation of costs. Just because you benefitted you think all of us are happy? No sir come w021 wina azalila!

  16. In grade 7,9 and 12 during the Examination period, When you here your friend go through an assay which you don’t know every thing you do seems meaningless especially when you wasted your time in the first and second term. So Mr lusambo Tata… “We know what you are doing”. The Examiner is going to mark in 2021 you will need a vote from these people you tortured mentally, financially, spiritually and politically. No food, high tax, no medicine and load shedding. Good roads with toll gates and full of unnecessary traffic officers especially ba RTSA

  17. Fattening a cow on the marketing day, that is what ECL and his minions are doing…ukusensela chilya bulecha you spend 30% of your term in the air very bad work ethic.
Presidency is extremely hard work not a holiday others grow grey hair but these ones abesu its tumimba and tutobo.

    • They want to contract huge another loan from China to build a railway line for $2 billion in Eastern Province when they can not even pay $44 million to ESKOM. They will just misappropriate all the funds as they are broke and leave us with a huge bill and substandard products to show for

  18. “Angola will require electricity generated by the Inga III dam from 2025, and will purchase it on condition the fee doesn’t exceed $30 per megawatt hour, according to a letter sent by the nation’s Energy Ministry to Congolese authorities and seen by Bloomberg.”

ITS A GOOD THING BUT WE ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY AND OUR PEOPLE TO GET THAT ACCESS AT LEAST EXPENSIVE IN THE MOST RELIABLE SUSTAINABLE MANNER AS SOON AS POSSIBLY IS WE SHOULD NOT BE SIGNING POWER AGREEMENTS THAT ARE CHEAPER NOT ABOVE USD.10 KWH OR USD.25 KWH OR USD .30 KWH TO MAKE POWER COMPETITIVE CHEAPER AND AFFORDABLE TO OUR PEOPLE READ ANGOLA ABOVEON INGA PROJECT POWER PROCUREMENT

  19. Roller meal should be stopped why still feeding people that thing in this century of technology am surprised that the government is still talking about it.

    • Dude, Roller Meal is much healthier than the white stuff everyone eats, it isnt as refined and has more nutrients.
Ans the government has nothing to do with it.

  20. In my view, its the opposition that haven’t got well grounded message to the masses because whilst it’s true that PF and President Lungu are currently having challenges which in true sense are temporal, the opposition have not made their case compelling. How are they going to do things better and differently that PF is currently doing? Just being everywhere and not anywhere isnt enough to remove PF from power, mark my words.

  21. Ati, “President Lungu has started addressing load shedding, mealie prices…” Only now? If at all. Where has he been all this time when things have been degenerating to such ridiculous levels? Touring as usual? Commissioning small tutembas?

This thug has no direction, nor does his master … they are both now ‘clutching at the straw’ and hoping to hoodwink people as usual.

  22. Liars!Liars!Liars!Liars!Liars!Liars!will not inherit the Kingdom of God. In the morning lying, midday lying in evening lying.Lies all over the place.Uno muku kuyabebele. It is only a full that will vote for liars.
    #KICKOUTPF

  23. Ba lungu has failed terribly. The man should be just be replaced.People still love PF but lungu is too weak to lead PF.He has destroyed the economy. Load shedding is mostly done in compounds. In chunga areas power goes from 05:000 to 23:00hrs for the past 1month.Is that fair to the people of matero?Hell nooooooo.Other areas power doesn’t go on weekends but why Chungu areas,Lilanda,Gorge compound.

Ba lusambo how far have you gone with munali buildings?.you can just demolish houses for poor teachers not those connected to ba Lungu. Please change the candidate.we don’t want lungu.HH can’t be a president in Zambia but Lungu awe it’s too much for the country.

  24. PLEASE,LUSAMBO WAKE UP FROM THE SLUMBER. WE,COULD HAVE SEEN THE ACTIONS THERE AND THEN BUT THIMNGS ARE WORSE.AND ARE U THERE THAT ECL IS HAVING SLEEPLESS NIGHTS?DON’T TAKE ZAMBIANS TO BE FOOLS YOU IDOITS. YOUR ENDING WILL BE BAD. UBUKOMPO SANA BWALIFULISHA. YOU,THINK PEOPLE ARE DULL LIKE U?NO ZAMBIANS ARE SMART AND INTELLIGENT. SEAT AND REFLECT ON THE GOVERNANCE OF THIS COUNTRY-KK,FTJ,MWANAWASA,RB,SATA,ECL AND NEXT GOD KNOWS NBUT NOT ECL.FORGET IT.

  25. Bowman, thanks for saying the man whose boots you lick has started addressing load shedding and mealie meal prices, does it mean he has talked to climatic change which he accused not long ago about all these problems, if he has managed to talk to climatic change and convinced it otherwise, why did he not talk to it earlier, was he waiting for a signal?. Bwana Bowman, kindly tell him it is too late because climatic change has gone on mute.

  26. The torn Jacket is soon mended, people who have been lying that the government is not working let them start repenting and admitt that the current government is working.

  27. Change is not an immediate thing but rather a process. Things will slowly begin to unfold and we will all start seeing what the Government is Doing to Better the Country’s Economy. What Most Zambians lack is PATIENCE, WAIT AND SEE..!!!

  28. Why are these sc@m b@gs allowed to hold rallies when all other opposition are denied permits? Zambia has gone to the dogs .

  29. The Zambian Govt must be taken to account for this ridiculous loadshedding…it’s not just the 26 hours of no power a day. It’s the food waste, the damage to devices, and total miserably caused.
Not everyone can afford the generators that you enjoy.
