    • This has nothing to do with the President…this is the Law… Actions have consequences…do good, and good comes back, do bad, bad comes back…make your choices..but don’t blame the President ..

  2. The magistrate must sentenced to death for such judgment.
Even if GBM killed, he shouldn’t be imprisoned like Chitotela and Chilangwa.
“Conflict of interest ” panyo… first go back and think of what GBM has contributed to Zambia. Please shut down these courts, Seriously.
These Judges of Mumba Malila are insurgents against society.

  3. No right without remedy. I just hope the bells tolling for GBM today will also equally toll for the corrupt in UPND in the near future!

    • Now, what you do not understand that charges against GBM were levied against him in the PF regime. Lungu knew that GBM and Kambwili were primarily tenderpreneurs and left a trail of crimes in their path. This is what he used to bring them back to PF. GBM was actually fired by his own relative, Former President Michael Sata (MHSRIP) for this exact behavior – ZESCO poles ring a bell?

  4. The problem we have today is that the justice system is being used or directed at people from certain regions. Other individuals close to UPND are getting away with murder as the massive corruption of the state is enabling millions of dollars leaving the country through unpaid taxes and corrupt financial transactions (FIC). Who is the justice system serving?

    • Stop complaining……..

Your surrogate bemba man lungu told us that…….

Out of 10 theives, 7 will be from the North……

      Ask Dejavu what lungu said…….

Even if you used probability and random theory……

Most theft investigations will involve people from the North

      Forwadee 2031…..

    • Show me one person from Southern province who has been charged for anything the past 3 years! One forced Kachasu down the throat of a minor, a criminal offense and the president looked away.

    • Stop Bembanising or Ngonising the issue. Its about corruption. Corruption in the political corridors of Zambia. A corrupt man has been corruptly found guilty. I dont think the court was just. Thats what we Zambians should fight: The use of the Judiciary as a weapon to fight political rivals. This can only happen because one arm of democracy, namely the Executive has too much power over the other two. We need a balance of power for Democracy to work.

  5. Chiefs Chiti-Mukulu and Mpezeni must learn a big lesson from this sad development. A human being only needs 2-3 basic meals backed by honest investments on the use of land.

  6. Jail is for the poor people….on paper yes he has been sentenced 5 years and in reality he will never even spend a day in jail……we all know the usual drama….appeal and out on bail…and he will never be summoned to court again…..Corruption and money is the Almighty in Zambia

  7. The only Prominent man that was sentenced to jail and did his time was former ZEGA Managing Director Sydney Chileshe….he spent 9 years in prison……all these stories its just fooling Zambians..even Chitotela and Chilangwa will be out soon….Corruption is King in Zambia…..GBM will never spend a single day in Prison….the story will just die once he is “out on bail”….and his file will disappear….

  8. UPND please just jail & kill all opposition leaders they are all thieves & are NOT Zambians, you guys are saints, you know. See how you have built airports, roads, new modern cities, food prices are too low, no mealie meal is contaminated, the Ndola-Lusaka highway is finished, you have built a new modern city, cooking oil is cheap, pipo eat all meals per day, no one is complaining about hard life, hh is praised everywhere he goes around the nation & ECL is booed, no one follows ECL in the streets.. so 2026 UPND viva!!!! My God time is coming & time is now for reckoning you charlatans

    • If you think GBM is an opposition leader then you are mistaken. GBM has no political ambitions and solely operates for his pocket. Notice how GBM no longer escorts Lungu or how he is silent on key matters? GMB moves on real quick and he has done already. Notice also how Kabwili is quiet?

    • The law is working now not iya yamu 20 something nama green cabbage..
This is what we want for better Zambia now.
No criminals for better development in Zambia..

      Wonderful..

  9. Jerabo Chile one was murdered in cold blood by his wife…..and the case died a natural death due to corruption…now she is free like she never killed anyone …..if you have money you can’t be sent to jail…even the Judges they want ka “something”….and your court docket will disappear

  10. And tomorrow’s headline will be GBM out on bail….and its game over… case closed…..and corruption and looting continues….in Africa we idolize looters and theives and elect them as leaders

  11. All criminal dockets with Lusaka central police station. Just disappear easily. The officers with dockets in plastic bags to show to criminals in order to be bribed. To let the same officers to work together for many years is just an invitation to corruption. They sit together the whole fattening themselves with Coca Cola and lion king. At the end of Theda they drive to their homes pajaros. Criminals and scammers also move with 10,000 kwachas in their pockets. Bembas and Lalas are the most corrrupt Zambians

  12. Davies Mwila once said, “If PF loses the 2021 elections, they would all go to prison”.
Mwila, just like everyone in PF, knew the illegalities they were doing. Even some of these guys who have been acquired, they know too well that they were involved in illegal acts, especially regarding corruption.
The best they should do, is surrender what they have stolen, and ask to be pardoned.
Where do you get the guts to go to BOZ and collect trunks of dollars and kwachas, honestly. PF was really rotten to the core.
Blame no one for the jailing. We all know what was happening!

    • All politicians are corrupt. Show me one Un-corrupt politician and I will give you my salary for the next 12 months

  13. Mention one Politician who was caught stealing and did time in Prison…give me just one name….am not talking about Political persecutions…am talking about someone who was charged with corruption…theft and abuse of office…Emerine Kabanshi was sentenced to 2 years simple imprisonment but she only spent few days in prison……

  14. I see nothing wrong with jailing someone found guilty, it does not matter where he comes from, he was not committing those crimes to benefit the province where he comes from. Only kaponyas can object this because they have no capacity to reason, for example the chap above who claims to be Zambian when it is a known fact he ran away from Zimbabwe. He is busy claiming that he grew up in Ndola if you ask him the location of the famous tree in Ndola, he will not tell you anything.

  15. ……….

Zambia is a place were high level theives and plunders are apploded……..

No matter what the accusations of corruption are, as long as they are from the right tribe or speak the right language………

They will be defended and supported because they are tribally prosecuted in their small minds……….

They were broke before they got into GRZ, 5 years later they hold multi million dollar property portfolios……..ask them for tax recites and proof of income…….ati political and tribal Prosecutions………

RB was asked for recites for his mpundu trust properties…….he showed all tax and where the money came from. It was a loan as proven……..

  16. The law is working now not iya yamu 20 something nama green cabbage..
This is what we want for better Zambia now.
No criminals for better development in Zambia..

    Wonderful..

  17. This is music to my ears. I am pleased with the Zambian judiciary..finally biting and not just barking. Let him rot there.
