Farmers in Zambezi begin receiving FRA maize Payments

Farmers in Zambezi District have started receiving money for the maize they supplied to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) during the 2024/2025 marketing season.

Speaking in an interview with the media today, District Agriculture Coordinator, Anos Luvuwa said the payment process commenced on Friday and will continue on Monday.

Mr Luvuwa said the payment process is being done according to the schedule presented to the bank and that, so far, all those whose names appeared on the list collected their money as of yesterday.

“I can confirm that the farmer payments for maize supplied to the FRA for the 2024/2025 marketing season started yesterday,” Mr Luvuwa said.

He said so far the process is going on smoothly and assured farmers that they will receive their funds, as the government has already released funds to pay all farmers across the country for the maize they supplied.

“The process started yesterday and it will continue on Monday,” Mr Luvuwa stated, explaining that farmers who have not yet been paid should expect to receive their funds beginning on Monday 10th November 2025.
