President Mwanawasa says his reconciliation with Patriotic Front leader, Michael Sata will be meaningless if it does not help change the attitude of Zambians.
Dr. Mwanawasa said he and Mr Sata have set an example for Zambians to follow.
He said it is now up to everyone to reconcile and work hard to develop the country.
The President was speaking on arrival at Mansa airport.
The president is in Luapula province to inspect the Chembe bridge which is currently under construction.
Luapula Province Minister, Chrispine Mushosha thanked Dr. Mwanawasa for facilitating Mr. Sata's trip to South Africa for medical treatment.

Thanks Mr President Mwanawasa for this timely message – ” his reconciliation with Patriotic Front leader, Michael Sata will be meaningless if it does not help change the attitude of Zambians…. Dr. Mwanawasa said he and Mr Sata have set an example for Zambians to follow” – to us all Zambians.
This has been problematic for some time due to the reckless campaign by irresponsible politicians who advanced TRIBALISM in their efforts to lead the country as a select few; instead of being inclusive of each and every Zambian. I thus make mention that I will work with anyone Zambian with progress ideas to bring development to our only Counrty – and NATION.
The peace between LPM and Kig Cobra has has come at a a very high cost for us Zambians in terms of tansportation and treatment of “you know who” now it is only fair that we see some real results.
Mind you mwanawasa king combra ni njoka, friendship which comes after an act or help is not real, he is just trying to pay indirect for what you did to him and come near to you to learn your weakneses, the time you’ll realise it will be too late.
#3 whats are talkig about, let me educate you on one thing there was no act of help,Sata is entitled to whatever transpared okey. And you #2 what exactly do you mean?
Ati king (combra) ni njoka,Tamumfwa kwena.
It is very interesting to hear from other people’s views about what president Mwanawasa said about his reconciliation with Patriotic Front leader Micheal Sata, it will be meaningless, if does not change the attitude of Zambians
of course it will be therefore never misuses the word itself go for it and show the nation that you are our father Zambia.
but you # 4 and # 5 stop this thinking of yours.
let Mwanawasa reconcile with Sata it is high time for us to learn from them as our fathers.
# 6, yourself and 4&5, are both on the same boat. Your comments must have been aimed at #3.
Please re-read the comments of #4&5.
Pres is right. I think its an appeal to both PF and MMD candres to take their part for reconciletion.
