Mpombo, Teta and Mulongoti’s public spat condemned

Share

Kalulushi Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) District Vice Chairman Andrew Nawa has condemned Mike Mulongoti, Ben Teta Mashimba and George Mpombo for exchanging harsh words in public.

ZANIS Kalulushi reports that Mr. Nawa said it was unfortunate for the three, who had been in the same party, to be exchanging bad language in public.

“If I were to be asked who is wrong, I would definitely go for Mr. Mpombo, because when he had a big decision to take, he would have talked to his friends in privacy.” Said Mr. Nawa.

He told ZANIS in an interview in Kalulushi yesterday that what Mr Mpombo was experiencing right now, was the reaction from his colleagues for not having informed them of his important decision that he was going to take.

Mr. Nawa has however, said that he would like to see them come together and discuss whatever difference they had among themselves so that they make peace.

He explained that it was a pity, because what they were doing was likely to affect the party organization and equipping the opposition with political ammunition.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nawa has appealed to the MMD National Secretary to help the party be funded so that it would get on with the party programme.

Mr. Nawa said that the district had not been funded for quite some time now and that had affected the party organization since the luck transport.

  1. Mr Nawa you are short of common sense. Mr Mpombo commited no wrong. He made a personal decision which he could only discuss with his family. No wonder Kalulushi cannot develop with leaders like Nawa- a person who jumps from party to party. How can you blame an innocent person just because he has no position in MMD.

  2. “Mr. Nawa has appealed to the MMD National Secretary to help the party be funded so that it would get on with the party programs. Mr. Nawa said that the district had not been funded for quite some time now and that had affected the party organization since the luck transport.”
Iwe Ka Nawa why don’t you lead by example? Why didn’t you phone these three men and advise them. You have done it thru the same channel as them. So what are you talking about? Further more your statement above, why didn’t you contact your National Secretary directly about funding? You are complaining thru the Press just like those you think are wrong Do not put the blame on Mpombo. There is no law that compels Mpombo to inform Teta and Mulongoti of his decisions. Mpombo informed your President and that…

  3. @ ntamba lukuta,u hit the nail on the head.xactly wat i wantd 2 say,why shud mpombo in4m teta naka mulongoti?are they the most important party n govt leadrs.it was definetly a personal decision.RB acceptd it so wats up with u?huh?

  4. Ba Nawa what did you want Mpombo to tell these tete & Mulongoti maybe their are the ones who lead him to make that decision. how could he inform them

  5. The three of them are just Political Noise Makers(Tetamashimba,Mulongoti & Mpombo) who have got no agenda for the nation, but are there to defend there own jobs. I noticed Mpombo also could do anything to silence Sata or Hichilema notwithstanding what was at stake but jst utter anything coz he wanted to protect his Job.It’s good Mpombo realised that he was residing with wrong people in Govt and NEC hence he decided to resign like anybody else could do. So if someone in the name of ‘Nawa’ want some financial aid from his party let him to so using an appropriate channel than to drag the name of innocent Mpombo as a conduit of begging for money from your national secretary, that is what we call doing a wrong thing at a right time through a wrong channel making your appeal VOID!

  6. Andrew Nawa just keep quite or else you will be sorted out for commenting on that issue. Besides you are too junior to be issuing statements in the media. Am not going to be surprised if you are suspended for issuing such statements to the media. SHUT UP YOU MORON

  7. Lastly, long leave Mr. George Katili Mpombo, but now you need to be careful not to be used anyhow in an ingnorant manner becuase the Teta’s and Mike’s of this world have now tought you a lesson! That which goes up must come down so teta and mulongoti will also follow you suit only time will tell.

  8. Mpombo didn’t have to tell any1 about hiz decizion to rezign. But surely the war of wordz by 1Teta, 1Mulongoti and indeed 1Mpombo iz unnecessary and not healthy. Az adults, huzbandz and parents, they are sending wrong signalz to the young.

  9. Same behaviour – why is he appealing to MMD Secretariat in public. Dont they have internal procedure for asking for finances?

Looks like public media id the channel they use for communication within MMD.

  10. there is growing unpopularity in MMd with the leadership of Nyamasoya .What mpombo has done is just 2 show them that. Now that has not gone down well in the inner circus of the party. So what teta /red lips are doing is trying to paint a picture that mpombo was a bad/is a bad person and it’s good riddence. No man would take all these insults been thrown in his direction without a fight ,so Bo nawa ,we know u are looking for a job ,but u are going about it the wrong way.if i was mpombo i can just organise some villagers in Chat area to come and beat you up.That way u will think before talking.Lets face it nyamasoya has lost control of the party and things appear to be on auto pilot.I pity this blind loyalty.nawa eachcolor 2 u .

  11. I had just started typing my thoughts when i stoped and read thru some of the posts and realised that number 2 has basically covered what i wanted to say. You are so right Deja Vu.
Instead of this chaps telling his friends to sort out their differnces he starts fingue pointing and in the process misses the point. And while he’s at it, he might want to remember that Teta’s reaction was a foolish one to Mpombo’s resignation. He took it like resigning is a sin and naturally Mpombo had a right to respond – period!

  12. What Andrew Nawa is telling is nothing new but HE is being mean with the truth. Mpombo fail out of the favour with the master and as far as the likes of Mabenga, Teta and Mulongoti’s comments were just amplifying their master’s voice. In Africa when the one firing the shots gives orders the majority just say YES SIR YES SIR LOUDER & CLEAR. wHAT IS GOING IN ZAMBIA IS NOT NEW. HISTORY HAS IT ON RECORD WHEN LATE KAPWEPWE RESIGNED FROM UNIP CADRES GLOBBERED HIM. The best those who are going for Mpombo’s neck are there to serve their master as the only viable offer is to denounce those who disagree with them. MR NAWA your comments are not sincere.

  13. On ““If I were to be asked who is wrong, I would definitely go for Mr. Mpombo, because when he had a big decision to take, he would have talked to his friends in privacy.” Said Mr. Nawa”, this is very useless. MP Mpombo did what was best for his life and deserves all the praise and encouragement as opposed to this terrible analysis. Why does Mr Nawa think that friends or peers need to force someone to do what he does not agree with?

Learn to respect pther people’s CHOICES AND KEEP QUIET if you have nothing construtive to talk about.

    Have a blessed day.

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

  14. This Nawa is begging for money and to get it he needs to please the two key thieves, Teta and Mulongoti, that is the message he wants to send. We don’t need such party cadres. Come 2011, all party cadres should be sent to School and only they attain certain values do we allow them to hold office. Baleonaula ichalo chesu ichsuma sana.

  15. #19 NO LONGER AT EASY. You have just made me think. Kapwepwe was clobbered by no other than William Banda. Now this William Banda is some political advisor for RB and would you its a coincidence that violence against those with different views are being clobbered? 2 + 2 = 4

  16. Mr andrew nawa have a look at your dwindling business taken over by 2nd wife and thinking of coming into real business.you are a disappointment.the mouths of these two politicians are like a broken sewer line(teta, mulongoti).

  17. Levy had a family tree but looking at what Bwezani is onchestrating, is it not the whole entire Ituri jungle kumawa we are talking about here? Every news conference, paka umvele po wa Kumawa.

  18. # 21 Yes thats the good reason. Nawa wants help. This multi party system is tearing Mr Zambia apart. There is inside fighting and those who are not members of the ruling party are isolated, no development aid given to them as they are regarded as enemies.. Here many ministers belong to different parties BUT they work together for the betterment of the country NOT for the betterment of the party as is like in Zam >> Presid campaing for his party candidate in elections ..oooh no no people are elected on merit.
