Opposition not ready to take over Government – FFTUZ

Share

Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) president Joyce Nonde-Simukoko

FEDERATION of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) president Joyce Nonde-Simukoko has said opposition political parties are not ready to take over Government because they have failed to demonstrate how they would run the affairs of the country.

Ms Simukoko said the failure by opposition parties to show Zambians their structures and who was in their shadow cabinets to explain how they would improve the various sectors of the economy was a clear indication that they are not ready to lead Zambia.

She said in an interview at the weekend that it was disappointing that instead of discussing issues that would benefit Zambians, opposition politicians were thriving on insults and petty matters.

She said Zambians expected opposition politicians to convince them that they would do better than the MMD if they were voted into office.

“The opposition should tell us how they would run the Government by giving us a picture of how they would deal with problems of unemployment and how they would improve education, health and other sectors.

“They have not explained anything and this shows that they are not ready to take over Government,” Ms Simukoko said.

Meanwhile, veteran politician Dennis Katilungu has said it is sad that the opposition, particularly the Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development (UPND) leadership, had kept inciting people to rise against the Government.

Mr Katilungu wondered why the opposition had preoccupied itself with campaigns
aimed at inciting people to revolt against the MMD leadership when the term of
office for the current Government had not ended.

[pullquote]Meanwhile, a recent opinion poll conducted in Lusaka by a non-governmental organisation shows that the MMD was now more popular in the province, at 55 per cent, trailed by PF at 30 per cent.[/pullquote]

Chisamba Member of Parliament Moses Muteteka also described the pact as a ‘sinking titanic’ with no future and direction.

And UPND Mpima Ward chairperson Dearson Banda and several other pact leaders yesterday at rally held at Mpima grounds in Kabwe defected to the MMD at a rally addressed by Mr Muteteka.

Meanwhile, a recent opinion poll conducted in Lusaka by a non-governmental organisation shows that the MMD was now more popular in the province, at 55 per cent, trailed by PF at 30 per cent.

The poll puts UPND at third position with 15 per cent.

Leadership in Development executive director Moses Kalonde said in Lusaka yesterday the MMD had started regaining its traditional support in the province because of President Banda’s good economic policies that were now bearing fruit.

The poll also reveals that Zambians have lost confidence in PF leader Michael Sata and his UPND counterpart Hakainde Hichilema because both leaders were preoccupied with ambitions for State House.

  1. Madam, there is no opposition in Zambia. How can you call Kulima Tower Kaponyas and that One Province Party or it Monze ward council party lead by HH, the opposition? Are you serious those the opposition, please give us a break. Target 2030 and maybe after then will there be an opposition. Great parties are founded on systems and not people. And in systems, people always step up to take the mantle and that has been the thread in our great Party from the great Patriot Arthur Wina to the current Rupiah Banda, it is the system at work. Other parties are just individuals with a goal to get to Plot 1. There is more to plot 1 than just sitting in that big house.

  2. JOYCE SIMUKOKO, please keep quiet its too early , what are your plans? next year we want fair elections in Zambia, we know you belong to the company of MMD but please spair us twachula pafula, you are having three meals in a day nabana bobe..people are suffering in zambia. Bambi are dying becouse of you twamwakwata naluse na ku ma churce mwilaya pantu ” muli mfunda buteshi”

  3. Tell us something we dont know lady. Its like saying “oh did you know Spain won the Worldcup!” Ifimenso ba Joyce.

  4. The Opposition need to know that it is a question of ” Seek He First the Kingdom.., and the rest will be added unto up”

State house can not be a goal or target because it is a by product. The Goal is to improve the lives of the Zambians , to serve the Zambians and the rest will be added to you including Plot 1. They can’t demonstrate that they have the capacity to deliver to the masses and yet they want to be put into State House? Where on earth have you ever heard of an opposition MP busy stealing from the Government and his masters don’t even bother to condemn or fire him? Those are the people you want to call opposition? Come on these are thugs in waiting ready to loot the national treasury.

  5. Well done and straight to the points Ms Nonde Simukoko. As much as I favor the idea of unseating the current govt, I am extremely worried that not even one opposition leader has made an effort to explain to we Zambians how best they intend to embark on economic reforms to resuscitate all the key sectors of the economy. We are anxious to know how the next govt will improve the living conditions of the people and indeed how they intend to provide meaningful job security, decent wages, quality education and health, rural development, etc. Please stop the fudge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Joyce has a point…esp the PACt their is certainly no vision with it. The UPND seems to have started very well with the BOB Sichinga…..and Sakwibva as vice to Mazoka…he had a good team and strategic team but now we dont know what the UPND has to offer…please give me theior team structure? As for the PF we have Willie Nsanda, Given Lubinda , Guy Scott and Mumbi Phiri…………..these are the calibre PF will give you.

  7. Woman, find a man to marry you at late age than blaming the opposition, blame your fate that you have no man to reduce your fraustration. Stop lying withjoiut shame. Insults dont only come from opposition, the come from state house. So be objective on your comments. Ba#2, your days are numbered. You will not live in a fool’s paradise for the rest of your life. Come 2011, MMD and your bootlickers KUYABEBELE

  8. # 3 MMD CHIEF BOOTLICKER…. in the first place is this your real picture on your comment? i dont think so , becouse i expect sensible statements from you as a parent. The problem with you guys is that you are just longing to stay in that state house if it is fit to be called so, if in zambia there are no opposition paties , can you define a word oppostion for me? maybe you are just using a term without knowing its background and source. Abantu in zambia are now suffering ngena shampanga having one meal and they have to struggle to have that , guys be honest mwachusha abantu people are leaving zambia becouse of its poor economical state and you are busy selling government properties, indirect you are selling the country due to the fact that especially on world market zambia is just controd

  9. “FEDERATION of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) president Joyce Nonde-Simukoko has said opposition political parties are not ready to take over Government because they have failed to demonstrate how they would run the affairs of the country.”

The PF has failed even on council level. PF run councils are the worst run councils in the nation. One wonders what faith the people have in PF when their councils are so badly run.

The same PF also failed to articulate how they will achieve the 90 economic miracle policy of theirs. All the PF are good at is lashing insults and being violent. This is the same PF who’s MP’s exchanged blows at parliament some time back.

  10. joyce has hit nail on the head much to the frustration of pact. sata and hh have no capacity to replace RB they are too small and petty. in 1990 it took a movement of pipo from variuos backgrounds to remove KK and unip it took the church, labour movement, ngos, students. this hopeless and impotent pact is a joke and a waste of time and pipo who believe in it are also jokers

  11. It is dangerous utopia to keep dreaming that the Great people of Zambia in 2011 would forfeit their peace, social economic progress and space of free aspiration for a a menu of insults which titular tribal parties needlessly opposing RB are selling them. What Zambians know and want is the selfless MMD pragmatism to finish what they started in reform and renewal. Dictators and their personality cult have nothing to give a democratic people. Look at Sata’s PF everyone is an appointee of that tyranny.

  12. Politics of individualism do not work in democratic societies. Zambians believe in institutional democracy hence perpetually rejecting Sata publicly known for his allergy for democracy.Sata has taken 4 consecutive ballot rejections yet in 10 years PF remains anti democracy without space for reformation. Its clear that other than Sata who appoints them from himself to the last cadre, they are imifuko yabunga who cannot look beyond a dictator.

  13. Dennis Katilungu, we know you are broke so much. Your shop at Chamboli is finsihed. Nonde you are also inluenced by your husband. What opposition are you talking about? We the Zambians will remove banda;s bandits from government.

  14. #11 Yes it is my Picture , that is me in full Party Attire. I guess you are blinded by your PF cadre mentality who think when your great SATAN comes to power, he will run the BOZ print press for Kwachas and deliver them to your home , as in more money into your pocket and as long as you don’t see that you think Zambians are suffering. Zambians are making progress my friend. There are more people moving into Zambia now than leaving. Look at the Immigrations stats. Don’t just come on the blog with emotionalism here, pick any indicator you want and lets debate with facts and numbers than just mere speculation. Yes there are people in Zambia who go hungry and the same is true for any country in the World!!

  15. Populists are not national leaders a self determined people can settle for. Populists are thoughtless opportunists usually dictated by events and their obsession for power.Asking for a shadow cabinet from this circus is wasting one’s time. Certainly the shadow cabinet team is an assembly of low life demented tribal cabals. Its Kambwili, Nsanda, Fractured Bwalya, Augustine Mwewa, Jean Kapata, Patson Chilemba, Afraid Membe, Simon Kabanda, Telesphore Mpundu, and Mumbi all deputized by UPND chaps.

  16. # 11 There are opportunities in Zambia and RB never promised anybody free money. He promised an enabling environment where citizens can raise up and take advance of opportunities. MMD will build infrastructure, we will improve public service, what we wont do is give free money to people who are capable of earning a living. That is not the role of Government, wake up this is not Communist Rusia or China. This is free Market Zambia. If there were no opportunities in Zambia, Shoprite , PickNPay FNB, Stanbic, Barclays, ZAIN , MTN will not be there, LUMWANA would not borrow so much money to invest in Zambia, Zambia is a great country and there are opportunities and stop making it look like it is a War ZONE. Get off your back and get to work. You will be rewarded.

  17. Are those giving surpport to simukoko real zambians?, Guys think twice..anyway now i iunderstand. tulalaba bwangu when we are given ka brown envelope…..people wake up from slumber and wash your faces”

  18. When Jesus Christ was going to heaven, he said
John; 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be distressed. Vs.1 You believe in God; Vs.2 believe also in me. 14:2 “In my Father’s house there are many mansions. If it were not so, wouldn’t I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you.
On the political front, I implore all political mourners in the aborted pact never to be troubled with the implosion. MMD is not only a mass party of many, but also a mother of all parties in a democracy of its own bringing. MMD has many mansions to accommodate every patriot in democracy. Otherwise, MMD wouldn’t have been the pioneer, and custodian mother of democracy in the country. Count on MMD in this hour of shock waves.MMD is a party for all citizens.

  19. It’s sad that after 10 years of relentless insulting commitment, without dividends PF is now gasping for air in comatose on its deathbed. As a Christian nation we can only keep praying without ceasing for leadership in PF even when the opposition is profusely bleeding in the ICU .PF-UPND need prayers of every patriots so that their violent nature and hatred does not attempt them to lose their minds further and start fixing each other with UPND. If we don’t pray, bamambala bazapayana.

  20. # 21 and 23…MMD CHIEF BOOTLICKER…still my dear freind i can’t agree with you comments, look at your comments its the MMD limited company that has sent you were you are…are you sure zambia is progressing? come on my parent! lets talk about reality..iam a zambian and i will die a zambian this time our country is one of the least and poor countries on earth..the problem you dont want to be told the truth and admitte. You are there enjoying life forgeting our duty as a zambian, i guess you are a politician if really zambian is progressing ” why you politicians when you have stomach pains you go to the hospitals outside zambia? when people with seriuos problems are dying not even k 100 to buy panado…this is practical satanism..ok help us please..imwe ba MMD twafweni mwatwipaya.

  21. The PF and UPND leaders are not brainless and I dont think that they are just sitting idol doing nothing. If a roadmap is so open and clear to everyone of us then the two parties will be crumble. We have blown the trumpet so loudly that albeit their deafness they are somehow contacting each other. These two leaders know the Zambian expectations very well and can not have a designed thinking and conclusion by all of us. Lets give them support and encourage them in an inteligent manner!

  22. Alah, so this girl is still alive! Anyway, he should just shut up, he opinion counts for nothing.

  23. I was following the commnets of zambians one thing is still missing in most zambian politicians..then :MMD CHIEF BOOTLICKER AND SENIOR CITIZEN are confussed MMD members and are not fit to be leaders look, here are contradicting themselves (1) one is saying in zambia there is no opposition party the other one is saying talking about zamnbian opposition parties..Bane be logical and partten well your way of thinking twapapata.

  24. SENIOR CITIZEN…# 26..on the same comment i told you dont use the name of God in vain…Satan and God are not freinds..but i understand you sometimes satan use bible to win people. The man of God, Fr Franck Bwalya told you the truth and you got annoyed to get rid of him…so switch off your way of stealing people’s mind try next door not God’s name. And zambia is not a christian nation we can see it by its friut…how old are you?

  25. The PF promised change WITHIN 90 DAYS of taking power. Ok, they didn’t make it to State House, but what change has happened in the councils they took control of Lusaka, Luapula, Northern and Copperbelt provinces? Looks like they need 90 YEARS just to cut grass, sweep the streets, fix the street lamps, clear the drainage system. The councils are the perfect platform for the PF to demonstrate it can be a vehicle for change. All we have heard is a litany of insults. Mwanawasa once referred to some leader of the opposition as a bufoon who took every opportunity (including funerals) just to draw attention to himself. Come to think of it, I think it was a very apt description.

  26. MMD CHIEF BOOTLICKER you’re so stupid and foolish to think there is substance in what you are saying. You thieves, talking too loud yet in a rush selling out this country. Totally delusional MMD has no vision @ the rate their selling assets of this country. 50 years from now Zambians will have nothing left because stupid people like you are selfishly stripping this country and feel you have to rule this country indefinitely. Did you know that 90% of this country’s surface area is under some mining license and mostly owned by china including you posh house in Kabulonga sits on some china man’s mining license at least KK had reserves for the country your chi presida is proper Katondo who works up every morning asking “ lelo to le goleka inshi?”

  27. #34Sly – Bwana, I dont know where you are blogging from. PF may have the majority in the areas that you mention but they do not hold the purse. MMD is in control of Kalulushi Municipal Council and I wish to tell you that they are even worse off than Kitwe.I had a chance to talk to the Kitwe Mayor Steven Chipungu about the International Road from Nkana West to Mindola/Chibuluma. This road is so impassible that even heavy trucks are taking not less than 15 minutes from the trades school to St Anthony. He told me that they have been asking GRZ to work on it but GRZ has been selecting its own roads, like Mutentemuko. What was good was that there was an MMD councillor when we were discussing.

  28. I think most of you chaps talking PF this UPND this are so ludacris, and too talkative like a bitch. the so called PACT has followers like myself who are not cadres of any political party but interested in change. We Zambians must be patient and and let PF and UPND sort their issues. These thieves like MMD CHIEF ButLicker AKA butty boyi are so desperate to finish the candidate that the pact will flag as a Presidential nominee mind you China has a ka budget for dirty tricks in 2011, OP is waiting for a signal on who to tier down between the two opposition leaders so wise up the suspense is part of MMD CHIEF BUTTYLICKER’S diarrhoea.

  29. Ya Deja Vu. Remember when i was home last month, passed through that road to from Mopani through Alfred Knights, the KCM trade school and kwacha area. It a wreck, beyond delapidation. I wonder why SLY@34 expects PF to get party subscription fee and further development in the country-when donor money has been poured and the records show that we are going into dolldrums and may never recover from these debts. Look foward for another salary freeze my bro! I must allude to the fact that, it is clear that MMD will only give money to their on councils and this was echoed by one MMD councilor for Lukulu who said it is much easier to get funds when you are MMD. Let PF get in govt and we can condemn them for failing to honour their promises.

  30. Cominig Soon Drama @ MMD conversion inside sources say RB is gonna face the likes of: Mutati, and Lupando Mwape, their very democratic party will undemocratically prevent magande, Mpombo and shakafuswa probably ba Bana Chipo as well. Now that’s drama, 2011 is on and all political parties have issues as RB himself has no clear grip on his party, as a late comer he still has to depend on mulongoti his magic card the man who actually gave him presidency after Levy’s demise. Mulongoti and the late Teta floated RB to be presida before announcing officially that Levy had died. So whats happening in the PACT is exactly what’s up 4 MMD as it is clear that the divisions are deep. As for Katele the MMD stamped a criminal record on his candidature “he was a threat” Don ChiChi advised to…

  31. #35 Lets just examine this sentence and I quote you.

“Did you know that 90% of this country’s surface area is under some mining license and mostly owned by china including you posh house in Kabulonga sits on some china man’s mining license”
Surely, if you have a functional brain, can you type such a sentence on a public forum and be proud? Which educational system are you a by product of? Do you know what 90% means? And where did you get those statistics. Matero University or Kulima Tower? Come people, I expect better from you than that. Is that the best you can do?. Oh dear , dear ..and they want to run our country. I agree with #34. Looks like you now need 90 years to just learn numbers. Wont waste time responding to people deep in idiocy.

  32. #3 and #6. Plot 1 is meant for presidents chosen by people, through people, for people like H.E RB. Plot 1 is not meant for people with selfish motives and Zambians are not looking for such. Full stop.

  33. # 35kapiripiri listen to what #41 MMD chiefbootlicker is telling you. I know why you in NY if not cleaning an old white womans’ arse. you must be a kaboyi bcos with your reasoning thats the only job good for you.

  34. On “Meanwhile, a recent opinion poll conducted in Lusaka by a non-governmental organisation shows that the MMD was now more popular in the province, at 55 per cent, trailed by PF at 30 per cent… UPND at third position with 15 per cent,” who conducted the opinion poll? Which Lusaka is this being written about, Lusaka Province, Lusaka Urban, Lusaka Rural, or some Constituency — say Kabwata?

While the figures are interesting in that the PF-UPND PACT has a combined 45% (30% PF and 15% UPND) while the MMD is said to have 55% (a total of 100% for the 3 parties mentioned), it is difficult to believe that HP, ADD, NAREP, FDA, etc. have no following. In light of this, this opinion poll is nothing but a hallucination bent on deceiving the Zambian unsuspecting citizens.

    B blest…

  35. #42 Assistant MMD Chief Bootleaker- Who is not selfish? Rupees Banda? My dear stop thinking like you have just come out of a Don Quixote sleep. Banda is just as selfish as Sata and HH, infact even more desparrate than the latter two.Money is being spent on poor grass root UPND members to make announcements that they will support MMD. A Mr.Munthali(near Chimwemwe Basic) was given K2,000,000 to share among fellow Upnd members with a view to announce that their party was for Nzunda of MMD in the forth coming by election. Luckly enough this nonsense was nipped in the bud. So tell me is this honourable? Abusing public funds so that some one will keep his fat buttocks forever at plot 1 is progress? Pact or no pact we know what to do to end this MMD foolery.

  36. FAKE POLLS
It is a pity that someone with empty pockests would come up with such un researched fake opnion polls. He is looking for a job.The Pact is still very hot and popular that is why even MMD is worried becauseof the pacts popularlity.Honourable mulongoti addimitted to this fact.

  37. MMD Chief Buttylicker you seem to have graduated from the Fredrick Chiluba institute of thieves you have the balls to question my education? My dear you’re as cheap as you dick-head, sperm brains you speak as though you are a Harvard wanna bee kabwala iwe. If really you an intellectual licking butt of politicians and you heads high with you shameless ragged, retard tittle. Trust me chaps like you are in to cadre- ship for selfish reasons, your rotten party should start renovating correctional facilities that’s where thieves like you belong. Kabolala you should be ashamed you party national Secretary the one you licked his butt too much is a criminal atase ukutumpa. As big as you are you calling yourself Bootlicker uku myenga pa mputi ya ba no be,no wonder

  38. 3 MMD Chief Bootlicker, you have made my day! – “…….There is more to plot 1 than just sitting in that big house…….” . You may as well add “…..and flying in the Challenger………”

  39. @44 Deja Vu-This is actually not a new trend in MMD politics. When i was a student i remember our one UNION leader got us to go to POST (we were chaed away) & ZNBC. We made some condemnation on KALAKI is columns and we were paid 20pin each. This guy(one of the lawyers) had a briefcasefull of 20pin notes. Now thats what am talking about.
There is no normal person, who will go out there to support MMD, unless he is vulnerable like students or some jobseekers in UPND. Albeit,HecHecH(sorry am sneezing again), cant do the announcements or Kakoma? I see HH will be overshadowed by his own members-luck Sata helped him comand authority before.

  40. On “.. a recent opinion poll conducted in Lusaka by a non-governmental organisation shows that the MMD was now more popular in the province, at 55 per cent, trailed by PF at 30 per cent… UPND at third position with 15 per cent,“, but who conducted the opinion poll? Which Lusaka is this being written about, Lusaka Province, Lusaka Urban, Lusaka Rural, or some Constituency — say Kabwata? Why does NAREP have 0% following in Lusaka? If NAREP really has 0% following in Lusaka, what %antage following does NAREP have across the country — Zambia?

While the figures are interesting in that the PF-UPND PACT has a combined 45% (30% PF and 15% UPND) while the MMD is said to have 55% (a total of 100% for the 3 parties mentioned), it is difficult to believe that HP, ADD, NAREP, etc?

  41. @51, Whether you like it or not, thats the picture. 55%for MMD includes rigged votes, bought ones and ECZ contributed malpractices. 30% for Sata is very correct but at the moment both MMD and PF are at par. Both parties can loose it though and that depends on the next 1 to 2 months. HecHceh(sorry am sneezing) is merely a vote splitter and will remain so. For NAREP,HP,ADD,UNIP,FDD are within the remaining 15%. Do you math, boy. HH has gained himself 15% because people sympathise with him(mwaiche). Take note that women actually dont like him. All the 15% is comprised of Cornellius Mwetwa’s fellow former students.
    Wailasha!!!!!!!!!!!!

  42. I mean 10% remaining opposition. They fit in my bro! or MMD will squeeze them in 10%. The 10% fo PF will never change come rain or sunshine.

  43. What a Mouth!Madam you have a big mouth! thats why only incorect, selfish and childish come out of it… i think even
MMD Chief Bootlicker has a big mouth as yours for him to lick properly on RBz shet!

  44. 10 . If you are really up to date with current affairs, you would know that Joyce has already found a man of her life, that is where the name Simukoko comes from. Very respectable man and that is where Joyce’s huge smile comes from. Now Joyce is a public figure and an accomplished politician in the unions, and if you don’t know these public facts what do you know about politics in Zambia. That kind of ignorance is shameful.

  45. The pact need to seperate. What makes me wonder about this pact is, if they win elections then what next to the people of zambia, I do not see any sense in this, we remain in poverty or worse than what we are now, they have no developmental agender for zambians. Yes they can remove MMD then what, because what I know is that UPND has a manifesto and PF does not have therefore and for God’s sake if they can quarrel now over local GRZ candidates how about when it comes to manifestos to guide them when they win. We need serious people and not chaos in zambia.

  46. #55 Opposition- If am not mistaken this Simuquoquo works for some quasi grz co. hence Joice’s change of goal posts.

  47. #3, 6, 21,23 and 42 , I am able to follow your constructive arguments on the blog. Your comments make a lot of sense. In fact, H.E RB is doing everything possible to make Zambia a happy place again. I am sure if we put him back in 2011, things will improve more than the current status. After all he has just been in the office for less than 10 years. Just look at his humbleness and the leadership style. Banono!

  48. These problems have been there in the pact thats why as for me I will never believe when they say the issues of competing against each other in bye-elections and HH’s remarks at the airport are the causes of misunderstandings. The truth is GBM and Winter Kawimbe would never leave the position of vice-president to HH and especially GBM being the sole sponsor of pf. These teo guys are trying with tooth and nail to see to it that HH leaves the pact. This thing of saying HH said this at the airport when arriving from USA is just rhetoric and a scape goat. More is hidden as you know that where people have hidden agenders you cannot solve anything and that has proved in life.

  49. #56 Chomba- While I agree with you on the UPND having a manifesto and PF none, I need to remind you that a MANIFESTO in Zambia is just as good as a Toilet paper. Infact a toilet paper is better because at least it does its job. MMD has the best MANIFESTO, but none of its contents has ever been put into practice. To me a manifesto is the actual compassion one has for the people and for the task that one has been give. It must be engraved in his heart where it will never be erased.

  50. Its no longer about the opposition being ready to govern its all about the people being tired of being treated like destitutes in their own country. Seeing a few people steering the country like it were a little boy steering a wire car! Its change that people want. We don’t care who it will come from. We can even vote for a pig!!! Kwaliba copper ubwingi yet a province (Copperbelt) has lagged behind in development. Stuck at the same stage that Kaunda and ZCCM left it at. No no no even worse off because all those tarred roads are now semi tarred or bush gravel.

  51. #60 you can justfy it to suit you and your minions but not for some of us who enlightened and can reason. Again you are wrong to say MMD has the best manifesto, the best one is for UPND who even Mwanawasa borrowed and tried to follow and implement the little time he was in power. The MMD manifesto failed to work out because it is run by people who are not true MMD and do not understand it. Mwanawasa managed to implement some policies e.g rule of law because he was one of the founder members of MMD. Chiluba was not a founder member of MMD he just joined later when they needed a president.

  52. CHOMBA@62. HH is outside the fence already. Dont cry over spent grains! He may never recover from the political cardiovascular malfunction. Reasons are;
    1. MMD is already full of warthogs-not doubt about that-lead by one KAFUPI.
    2. HH is third according to implied reasoning and NAREP,ADD,FDD,UNIP are making their mark now.
    3. He is very tribal than any other-worse he is even desliked by his own-next of kins.
    4. He is a mere opputunist-opputunism is only found in MMD and that chapter maybe closed with RB.
    5. MMD is still wide spread in its quest to maintain a stronghold +advantage of being a ruling party-they can do what they feel like -as the previous elections have shown.
    6. HH is young and will be unwelcome to MMD’s big fishes let alone be MMD toilet cleaner.
    Chao!

  53. #60 if you do not know, a manifesto is there to guide you. Atleast the MMD manifesto is working whereby they can hold a convertion. In pf only one person has a manifesto in his head and this is MC Sata, so all those mps and followers have to either go or call sata to explain the guide lines to them, if he is sick or unreachable then it is free for all(chaos). I wonder the day when he is going to die worse if it happens when he is a president the who country will be on a stand still waiting for the ruling party to manage the transition. MMD managed because they had a manifesto to guide them.

  54. MMD has a manifetso but is it being followed? VEEP has endorsed RB as did TETA. Katele also and the list is endless. The only two genuine people are Mpombo and Magande, but because of their desire to contest, they are being persecuted and paraded as they they never eat from the same plates. To a point where MMD wants to shiield in Young Mwanawasa in Mpombo’s constituency who is busy drinking on the streets of Ndola. Desperation. What you are saying is “follow what i preach and not what i do”. Total absurdity.

  55. #64 Chomba – Sir, there is no need for you to use crude language. If you ar more educated than me, well that is to your credit but it neither adds or subtracts any thing from my status which you do not even know. Please let us debate decently.

  56. PF UPND PACT IS LIKE ONE BLIND MAN LEADING THE OTHER NI NTOKO BOTH CANT SEE TILL THEY END UP IN A DITCH. THEY BOTH CANT REALISE THEY HAVE NO CAPACITY TO LEAD THIS GREAT NATION

  57. PF have NEVER held a convention to elect their leaders instead the leaders are picked by the Great Leader MC Sata – the all knowing, the Custodian of all wisdom. And here is part of his cabinet:
Minister of Defence Hon. Mark Mushili, MP
Minister of Finance and National Planning Hon. Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, MP (Grade 12)
Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Dr Guy Scott, MP
Minister of Health Hon. Jean Kapata, MP
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Mumbi Phiri, MP
Minister of Justice Hon. Wynter Kabimba, MP
Minister of Local Government and Housing Hon. Col. Jerry Chanda, MP
Minister of Communication and Transport Hon. Willie Nsanda MP
Minister of Education Hon. Prof. Frank Bwalya, MP
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Hon. Mwansa Kapeya, MP
    Minister of Mines and Minerals…

  58. MC Sata is allergic to democracy. He single-handedly appoints all officials. He is the all knowing, the depository of all wisdom in the PF. And here is his cabinet which he pulled out of his hip-pocket:

Minister of Defence Hon. Mark Mushili, MP
Minister of Finance and National Planning Hon. Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, MP (Grade 12)
Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Dr Guy Scott, MP
Minister of Health Hon. Jean Kapata, MP
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Mumbi Phiri, MP
Minister of Justice Hon. Wynter Kabimba, MP
Minister of Local Government and Housing Hon. Col. Jerry Chanda, MP
Minister of Communication and Transport Hon. Willie Nsanda MP
Minister of Education Hon. Prof. Frank Bwalya, MP
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Hon. Mwansa Kapeya, MP
    Minister of Mines and…

  59. … as we spoke, Sata whipped a piece of paper from his hip-pocket. And on it was his carefully picked cabinet:

Minister of Defence Hon. Mark Mushili, MP
Minister of Finance and National Planning Hon. Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, MP (Grade 12)
Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Dr Guy Scott, MP
Minister of Health Hon. Jean Kapata, MP
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Mumbi Phiri, MP
Minister of Justice Hon. Wynter Kabimba, MP
Minister of Local Government and Housing Hon. Col. Jerry Chanda, MP
Minister of Communication and Transport Hon. Willie Nsanda MP
Minister of Education Hon. Prof. Frank Bwalya, MP
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Hon. Mwansa Kapeya, MP
Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Hon. Chishimba Kambwili, MP
    Minister of Science, Technology and…

  60. They want to steal in the morning, at lunch time and at night. They are shallow politicians who know only to incite kaponyas. They oppose everything GRZ because they think that is what opposion means
Good luck you violence preaching mob

  61. Interesting topic indeed. When are we going to look up and see what is happening in Zambia? Why are we so fixed on the Bible that we forget to notice the sick children in our compounds and the hungry in the villages? Our leaders have sold all services to private firms to the point that no one is in charge of anything. If we carry on like this, Zambia will be like a mafia country, crooks and gangs will control the state. Already we lost our only airline, bus transport and now we are selling hospitals and schools, and for all these services govenment is asking for money. Fine to do it this way if they want to generate funds for new pojects, sell government houses but carry on and build new ones. Build more primary and seconday schools, increase number of colleges in every district.

  62. Don’t just sit there and talk about what the PACT is all about. Government offices are filty and dirty, and they are not ashamed to work in such environments. Registration office, labour office are disease infested areas, government does nothing to improve this, but sit and wait for NGOs to and help them clean up. We all know Zambia has capability to build its nation and feed its hngry, but we are too selfish to share. The gap between rich and poor is growing faster then ever, and all they talk about is votes. The whole thing sucks and it is about time people stopped believing in these promises. Zambia is changing, yes, but why? The private sector is raking in money and building facilities only the rich can enjoy, leave the country while you can guys, there is nothing to lose

  63. Zedians, stop trashin the pact, the pact waz born out of our demands, the desire not hav a fragmented opposition.wat is goin on is expected in any african setup of this sort.wat we need as zedians is luk at the candidates who wil b selected both opposition en mmd en vote on merit, individuals who can deliver.i can see a situation next year wer mmd wil not hav a majority in parly coz pipo wil nt vote on party lines bt on merit en thats wat we need en nt wat the shit mmd bootlicker is yappin about, the pipo of zed wil thriumph

  64. FRANK BWALYA RED CARDED

Lesa nimalyotola. You cannot use his name in vain. Ex-priest Frank Bwalya’s sins and hatred have cursed him.

PF members of parliament Godfrey Bwalya, Mwansabombwe (GBM) Samuel Chitonge and Chipili’s Davies Mwila visiting Change Life Zambia executive director Fr Frank Bwalya who is admitted to Kitwe’s Sinozam Friendship Hospital on Saturday. Ex-communicated Fr Bwalya was diagnosed with a debilitating Kidney problem.Unless he gets a kidney donation from some PF ng’wang’wazis, he may be heading to calvary soon on a red card. Dialysis here you come.

  65. The law of nature has red carded him. Now see the consequences of one lunatic comedies. He is red carded and the whole lunacy is red carded too. What a loser.Leadership comes from God and not from Red card lunatics. And God cannot be fought by a carnal mind. God appoints leaders and any one fighting Godly annointed leaders is fighting God.

  66. 57 De javu, the way to regain your sanity is to accept facts. At the rate you are going you have probably condemned just about everybody in Zambia who speaks the truth or what they believe in including your own mother. The only one left to condemn is probably your yourself, sorry mate that is the way people become nuts.

  67. #23 MMD CHIEFBOOLICKER…you are a parents but your statements are senseless my dear…what stuff do you give to your kids , becourse your mouth is full of insults according to what i have seen. You are giving support to RB becouse he has sent you there when you are off you will be insulting hime CHIMUTASHA KALIKWITOBO.

  68. Before I can take the opinion poll conducted by Moses Kalonde seriously, he must first answer the following questions: What was the sample size? What was the sampling design? How representative was the sample? What was the margin of error? What are the research credentials of Moses Kalonde in conducting such polls? Who funded the poll?

If Kalonde is reading this blog and cannot answer these questions convincingly, the poll’s results must be consigned to the dustbin.

  69. WHATEVER HAPPENS TO THE PACT, MMD IS NOT THE ALTENATIVE. MAYBE KEN NGONDO’S PARTY. NOT MMD PLEASE.

  70. # 77 IWE MWATA.. You guys you know little over the bible ” dont say Lesa nimalyotola” Lesa will never be malyola as you say without thinking, your grand mom in the village can be malyotola pantu is a human bieng, The catholic bishops and preists are now enenies of you for telling the truth , dont think when Fr Frank bwalya is sick then it ends there we as catholic catholics we shall hit the truth, unless you change, if you want continue paying your people to be killing the servants of God! ULIMUTUTU IWE ZOONA EE! and what do you do where you are? i guess you are a sw.

  71. For real, please God help us, it cannot happen no matter how forsaken we may be, we cannot have have such caribre of people as our MPs in the next pf government. This is an insult, people like Jean Kapata Willi Nsanda, the worste Mark Mushili who is serving a sentance for wanting to obtain money from ministry of defence through false pretence. For that matter we have not heard MC Sata saying anything or even suspending him for his conduct, honestly do you think this will be a government of laws?. This time around if it means change we need to change for the better and not the worste we are about to have in the name of PF. Please God forbit twapapata.

  72. 83 In order to form a good picture of you and the way you reason, I have looked at your contributions in general not just this one.

  73. Zedian, thanks for your usual focus. A few points about what Joyce said:

    1. It is good to have opposition articulate the plans and who will be responsible to undertake them, i.e.(shadow cabinet).
    2. Both PF and UPND have in the past given what could be called are their policy positions on a number of issues. Problem is no one listens and no one follows through. Short collective memory.
    3. Tragedy is: what is the MMD’s plan apart from doing business as usual?

The fact of the matter is that we are actually regressing as a country. This is probably what led Situ Musokotwane to write the kind of letter (of intent) to the IMF on how to deal with a number of economic issues, including about the mines (here echoing PF views)

  74. Only blind Zambians will vote for MMD. Surely, for more than 20 years in power the so called MMD couldn’t even think of finishing up the Mususu Kaleng’a building near the bus station in Lusaka. Ok, will see. But we do not want a type of government with a perversion of integrity. Too much corruption, do you know how much KAPOKO stole from the ministry of health, Chiluba and recently another one from LCC? Something like K2billion. So now you tell me what kind of development MMD will bring.:((:((:((

  75. #90 Actually, we will vote for MMD because it seems to be better than the aspiring party of PF Kaponyas, where money launderers like Mark Mushili to be ministers of defense where he wanted to steal money from through false pretence, my God how about when he becomes a minister. Moreover, the same MMD which you are despising now was destroyed by the same Sata, you want him to destroy the nation again. Sata left MMD 9 years ago and this party has ruled for almost 10 years and most of the corruption was done in the first 10 years of Chiluba and Sata’s rule. Kapoko the criminal you are talking about stole from the ministry and funded the pf campaign because he is one of the major sponsors of PF together with GBM Mwamba. We know all these things and we will fight tooth and nail to…

  76. That picture for MMD CHIEF BOOT LICKER is actually Charles Shawa, the guy we used to call chief Shawa when he used to do cabaret at Lusaka Hotel with his two dancing daughters.
Chad, thanks for giving us an insight on Sata’s cabinet, though you forgot Given Lubinda for commerce. Sata’ s cabinet will not have a sports minister because he has no interest in sport, the reason you can never see him at any sports event.

  77. “Tell-it-like-it-is”
Opposition needs to have a vision and have the capacity to communicate that vision so as to give the electorate informed decisions. Mud-slinging is fun, but that is all it is. :-w
