We have been vindicated, says Bishop Mambo

Share

Bishop John Mambo has charged that the rejection of the constitutional bill by parliament on Tuesday is the beginning of the process for a people driven constitution.

Bishop Mambo says time has now come for the Zambian government to realize that people are bigger than political motives.

Bishop Mambo says he feels exonerated after being referred to as a prophet of doom when concerns were raised over the National Constitutional Conference.

He has restated that what happened in parliament signals a wind of change that is taking place world over, especially in the Middle East.

He has, however, stated that Zambia has yet again been handed a bounced cheque in the constitutional making process.

In an interview with QFM, Bishop Mambo says any government should work to the expectations of the people, and not the opposite.

Bishop Mambo has commended the opposition parliamentarian for representing the views of people who elected them into office.

  1. There are same people employed by MMD masquerading as water Sewerage Company going round asking people to give NRC numbers

    watch out

  3. I have no doubt now that Bishop John Mambo is NOT a man of God. Where on earth can a man of God be happy with what is going on in Libya and middle east where lives are being lost and he is very happy to see such kind of uprising taking place in Zambia. The Bible does not provide for such, i have never seen such kind of scripture. Of late, whenever Bishop Mambo is given chance to talk he always refers to that Zambia is undergoing reforms like the middle east. infact if such violent activities started in Zambia Bishop Mambo will never come near that violence but will expose innocent youths and women to be injured and loose some legs in the process, just like some politiciaa who was ordering an MP to undress instead of telling his wife to undress at intercity. Its a pity to have such a Bishop

  4. Well done Bishop Maambo. These thieves have to be voted out and punished accordingly. I will be glad to be the first one to whip ka Kunda with a Shambok on his Bums.

  5. Bishop Mambo
We know how you conned $43,000 from american missionaries. We also know that you are fu*king a 17 year old girl at your Nyamphande school.Watch this space.

  6. Hats off to the true Bishop and many other compatriots who stood on the truth and refused to be compromised like some of these fake bishops and pastors who have sold themselves for three pieces of silver. shame on them and God will deal with them at an appropriate time for misrepresenting Him(Jehovah God).

  7. # 4,
John Mambo has never been a man of God but scammer ever chasing for crams. Are you aware that the Church of God ex-communicated him permanently for years of stealing US based churches donations to his then Church of God? Paliba ubuchende, ubufi, ubupompwe nobu crookedness pali Mambo. From 1996 to the time FJT retired, Mambo, Fackson Shamenda, Wynter Kabimba, Silvia Masebo and Panji Kaunda were active muthila nkhanis being handled by chungu’s boys. Mambo, Shamenda and Panji continued drawing green slips under Mwanawasa untill Levy rewarded John with a seat on NCC then cut them off the green slip. Mambo, Panji and Frackson Shamenda have tried to get reactivated under RB but to no success hence all the bitterness and ukusabaila in doom.

  8. V.J Rigger stop these kamikazi tactics. We also know that you have been cheating on your spouse so dont look for a match stick in Mambos eye when you have a log.

  9. VJ RIGGER #6 REPORT TO THE MMD CONTROLLED ZED POLICE IF YOU HAVE EVIDENCE, I’M VERY SURE THIEF GOVT SPOKESPERSO SHICHIMPUNO WOULD BE GLAD TO HERE YOUR EVIDENCE SO THAT HE RUSHES TO THE PRESS TO DENOUNCE BISHOP MAMBO/ OTHERWISE WE SHALL TAKE IT THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE LIE FROM U.

  10. #8 So that is why Fackson Shamenda has gone soft on MMD,that is why Kabimba destroyed PACT,tha is why Sylvia Masebo loud mouthed for MMD,and that is why PANJI has been under mining UPND. THE BUNCH THEY ARE AND WERE TRYING TO REMAIN ON OP green slips.SO THEY ARE DOING AND SAYING WHATEVER THEY ARE SAYING FOR SELF PERSONAL GAINS NOT FOR ALL ZAMBIANS,

  11. Gentlemen this is the right time to hold both elections and referendum because the 2010 census results are out .The only new cost will be referendum papers i feel its a real chance to correct most of our problems in the constitution once and for all.LETS CALL FOR REFERENDUM THIS YEAR GUYS!!!

  12. To you all fellaz against Bishop Mambo ought to be serious. Honestly, who is better, between Bishop Mambo or the so called bishops who were supporting a thief, who has been proven a thief indeed?

Aluta continua Bishop Mambo! Stand up for the agrieved Zed pipo.

  13. Whose lost and whose won. We cant cry over the mani spent on NCC, because it was budgeted for. Viva Zambia a democrat Country. Even the other commission would have bouncced coz MMD has the number in NA.

  14. i have great respect for this old man SATA for he is full of wisdom. Right from genesis he saw this problem and made a decision not to be part of the NCC process. Some people called him names but now has been vendicated. What a wise old man…………………………!! Viva SATA!!!

  15. RUPIAH AND KUNDA GIVING ZAMBIANS A CONSTITUTION OF THEIR ASPIRATIONS?? THAT’S EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM THE MMD. JUST READ DAILY MAIL OR TIMES OF ZAMBIA AND SEE IF REALLY THEY ARE GENUINE PEOPLE AS THEY CLAIM.
VOTE MICHAEL SATA AND PF FOR HE IS BETTER POSITIONED TO BRING THE BADLY WANTED CHANGE WHICH WE NEED. IMAGINE THE HELL OF FIVE YEARS UNDER RUPIAH??
VOTE SATA AND DONT SPLIT THE VOTES.

  16. No 15 the fact that money has been budgeted does not necessarily mean that it must be spent!! Are you saying that if a budget was meant for Criminal activities then the money must be spent??We must be rational especially on National issues!! Who are the beneficiaries of the spent money at the end of the day in this case?? Greedy MPs of course and very soon they will be coming to ask for your vote!! Mind you some of the ministers even shunned their offices just to chase for allowances at the NCC – Talk about servioce delivery!!

  17. I think Bishop Mambo should stop using the people’s name as he represents none but himself. Those MPs represent their party position and not the people. There were however some good parts in that draft that still made it better than the amended 1996 document and hence there is nothing to celebrate.

  18. #17, atleast you are better off now under RB with food security and opportunities for business. Imagine the damage Sata would do to the economy. Remember he knows nothing about economics and agriculture.

  19. Well spoken Bishop, people can not be bought by stolen money. RB and MMD have to listen to people who put them in office as they are servants of zambian people. So what happened in parliament is correct the MPs have used their votes appropriately. The wind of change is blowing.

  20. Number 18 the citizens of Zambia have lost. The money spent on this useless NCC is too much and Kunda is even proud to pronounce that money spent on this useless NCC was budgeted for. We are not cursed we need to change this government.
If we had bought life serving drugs it would have made a difference let us try Sata

  21. #4, you are really annoyed by bishop mambo s comments.you zambians feel so hurt when someone tells the truth.honestly there is no need to bring out his personal issues. He just expressed himself and supprot what he knows is right.God will judge us all and we shall all be exposed to what we have done here on earth.please bring issues that will teach us something, hurter!

  22. This is a true litmus test to the electorate at large, Zambians have been vindicated indeed. Once Zambians have reaffirmed that the country is not ready to be governed by Dogs, Thieves, imbeciles and under fives. Maturity, Wisdom and Experience is thus the way to go this year. let’s vote wisely.

  24. can any of u who is condemning Bishop Mambo stand up and say u ve never sinned or wronged any other person.Dont ans me but just yourself. i think this is not the time or platform to scrutinize other people we should just talk about the issue on Hand.Everyone in his rightfull sense can call for celebration including Bishop Mambo bcoz these thieves in govt have no respect for anyone but just themselves. They have tried to do everything just to suit them. Now it time they started to relise that they are not as popular as they think.it is so painful to be beaten by the minority. i feel so sorry for kunda and Ronnie.they are blind to reality. We are with u Bishop and all well meaning Zambian who are right now celebrating about the victory in Paliament.VIVA YEAR OF CHANGE

  25. Bishop Mambo is a clown. What is there wish for what is happening in arab african countries and in the middle east. What nonsense. Zambia is multi party democracy no matter what you say kapala iwe and that crap will never happen here. Generally we are a peace loving people with the exception of this same ka bishop and a few other dull Zambians that take our peace for granted.

  26. 27 SMART OBSERVER………….Be reminded that your celebration is nothing because the 1996 constitution works much better for MMD than the opposition in many ways. So really it is not MMD that has lost but all Zambians and those that are celebrating are those that got allowances because some mp’s abstained from voting.
So really very soon the opposition will start crying foul because 1996 constitution is very dangerous to the opposition and very beneficial to MMD where elections are concerned and gives president maximum powers. So i dont where your celebration is!!! Zambians are very funny heheeee.

  27. Tell them #30 First Patriotic Zambian. They are blind people who are led by a one eyed man. There is nothing to celebrate here.

  28. Responding to the move, MMD national secretary Michael Sata said it was time for faithful members of the party to stand up and be counted.

“This was long overdue, ” Mr Sata told AFP, “we knew that they were forming a new party.

Chiluba has now said he will not seek a third term

“Therefore, we challenge others who are claiming to be true MMD members to resign and join the new party.”
He said that the mass resignation of the national executive committee would not affect MMD’s operations.
Remember when this was said? Third term for FTJ driven by one Cobra!

  29. Fellow country men & women and my dear comrades we have just lost $ 45 million US Dollars as a country thru (N.C.C) & our beloved clergymen, politicians & a few citizen who put their interest first. No Consitition till we remove some big headed politicians “CHANGE” is the key go register as voter, its neva to late ba SWI NE

  30. Another broke bishop looking for job, just because you were;not part of the NCC and now that it has been rejected in parley you come out like you smarter.

  31. I beg to differ with the Bishop. What happened in parliament cannot be said to be representative of the wishes of the electorate, no. That was just simply partisan politics at work in parliament. Sometimes thats the way parliament works, it becomes a numbers game. If UPND decided to vote with MMD and the bill passed second reading, would you have said it was representative of the electorate’s wishes? Again no. PF would have cried the loudest. The voting was done to appease political leanings, toeing the oppostion party lines, it was not about the electorate. It was about fullfilling the opposition party egos, going by Kambwili’s after-joy when the bill flopped.Thats what happens when people think the party is mightier. If we are really that level-headed, there is nothing to celebrate…

  32. Opposition parties have killed themselves because the 1996 constitution will bite them. There are such things like theft of motor vehicles unbailable, excessive powers of President, persons in diaspora wont vote and opposition has alot of support there because of post online, swearing in of president immediately election results are announced, no dual citizenship, no increase in Mps which cud have benefited opposition alot because most of their strongholds have larger constituencies which cud ve increased their Mps, no disabled Mps provision and youths, etc. Opposition please wake up, you have killed yourselves. By the way this failure cannot be a campaign tool in rural areas as they dont know significance of constitution. Shame on opposition,Heheheheheheh

  33. I dont subscribe to the belief that the bill flopped because the people have spoken, no ways. What i do believe, howver, is the fact that constitutionally, the MPs are the spokespersons of the electorate from their respective areas. The other fact is that when in parliament, they dont necessarilly represent the wishes of the electorate, but rather go by the wishes of their respective parties they belong to. this is exactly what transpired when voting. Partisan political interests took precedence over national interests. Thats my opinion.

  34. Is the offering busket not being filled at all.It sounds like Mambo wants a job in politics than the church and the King cobra is read to offer him one.The offering busket money is full of change and now he is after tax payers hard earned cash.

  35. THE MONEY WAS DELIBERATELY SACRIFICED TO ENRICH GK AND MMD. THEY NEVER CARED ABT THE VIEWS OF NGO’S AND PARTY LIKE PF.THIS WAS EXPECTED……LIFWEKO AND CHIFIRE UWELOMO KWATI MATAKO LANDA TUMFWE.MMD KUYABEBELE

  36. so who really cheated the pipo of zambia? those who abstained or those who attended? if you ask me those who abstained cheated the pipo, anyone who followed the ncc knows that the mmd did not have an easy majority on a number of important issues i.e. bill of rights, 50%+1 and debt acquisition.
Mwanawasa could have been wrong on the procedure but he had good intentions on giving us a better constitution. by the way, anyone ever seen or heard about the PF, UPND or MMD constitution? there’s a party which doesn’t have a constitution, so zambians careful, i know some people take advantage of what we complain about inorder to win political mileage. So i urge zambians especially us who live in zambia to scrutinize these guys coz some of them don’t even have constitutions.
