Armed bandits force School teachers to flee in Chilanga

Share

More than seven female teachers have run away from a named basic school in Shimabala area in Chilanga after two of the teachers at the school were shot at and raped this week.

The teachers’ departure has paralyzed operations at the school.

A 21 year old youth and his friend from the same area carried out the atrocities after stealing his grand father’s fire arm.

One of the two teachers is still admitted at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) while her colleague has been discharged after treatment.

Meanwhile, management at MCK lodge situated in Chilanga’s Shimabala area has refuted police reports that a guard who was shot at by the same youths who raped the two teachers is dead.

MCK lodge Manager, Lilly Malawo says the police gave the public wrong information as the named guard who was shot at by the youths when they stormed the lodge demanding alcohol is still alive but admitted in the UTH.

She says the incident took many people by surprise as the named youths reside in the same area and have no such criminal record.

Mrs. Malawo has assured the lodge clientele of safety noting that the shooting incident was the first of its kind.

  1. It wont be long before the son of man comes to bring an end to this and other evils being commited the world over. Another f.o.ol in Brazil killed 12 school children before killing himself

  2. Have they arrested the criminal? Why do you keep the known criminal in the community? Take him where he belongs ku ndende. He is not fit to be in the society.

  3. Sad story; another form of sexual gender based violence with this episode of HIV/AIDS. Oooooooooo women team up and fight this evil act. But let the police bring to book the young men who are behind this.

  4. No job no future nothing to do crazy ideas creep in. Its time MMD thought of productive youth projects or we will lose a generation to criminality and vice

  5. sad story indeed.i think now i wil b putin on a bulletproofs.wit dis unconcernd govrnment. change is cumin.viva pf

  6. wow we always find ways to blame the govt for everything. I dont know when we are going to take responsbility. One american president said ‘think of what you can do for the country and not what the country is going to do you.’

  7. I fully agree with you No.7.For example take this complaint from some character who for the past ten years of his marriage is blaming RB for not having babies with his dear wife! I’m not sure whether they want RB to physically work on the lady in the bedroom. We should learn to take blame for consequences of our works.

  8. de govrnment has 2 b blamd.coz if they had put in place tough security.all of dis wud hav been avoided.bt currently as things stand it is survival of de fitest.

  9. What is the government?I hope you are not fooled in blaming RB for all the evils going on in Zambia. Crimes and those who commit them should be the ones to blame, because at the end of the day they will be the ones who will be found with a case to answer.

  10. Centmas my friend those words were said by the famour US President JFK on the 20th of January, 1961. You can google it. This is what im talking about and its typical of blogger here, dwelling on the irrelevant things thus missing the point.

  11. Few days ago when the security forces where chasing a criminal in a named compound people like #9 where in full front saying the security forces are trigger happy and now today the security forces are weak. Which direction do you want to go kanshi? For once like #7 has correctly put it, let us take responsibility and think of what we should do ourselves first before we blame the govt. If you the locals had not taken the responsibility to report the crime since you are the ones that are living with these criminals, how did you expect the security forces to sniff that a careless father had left his 21 year old son to make away with his weapon?

  12. Surely these r de last days…Children hv gon wild, wakng up 1 day & decidng 2 open fire 4 de fun of it.Perhaps it al coms bak 2 de parents…lets mek sure we brng up our children in a gud way dat wil owez remind them dat they r loved…

  13. Parantal guidance is the answer to such behaviour. Some parents think letting children do what they want without guidance is giving them freedom. Some children these days have their own TVs and watch violent movies which a negative effect on their minds. We used to play ifinpombwa!!!

  14. Minister of education, ms sylia, what are you going to do about this?its time to do the job you have been paid for!

  15. parents in this era give too much freedom to their children in the name of modernity.this is what you get. remember too much freedom is free doom.

  16. kown criminals are all over lusaka and no one bothers. A good example is chibolya compound, were one can be attacked in full view of the puplic and none including the police is willing to take action.

  17. This is sickening. No wonder no teachers want to work in them rural places. I hope the victims will be OK after this kind of trauma.

Hang those little punks by their nuts

  18. # Amahule shani??Amuhule are in business….this boy had no money thats why he used force to relieve himself!!!

  19. this sex maniacs need to be arrested at once..why should they let them, loose upto now?how do you rape the teachers who are trying to deliver development to your area..?

  20. I will blame this on sata and the lost newspaper who have been at the centre of encouraging lawlessness. Donc kubeba wachian. Bakawalala imwe

  21. Teachers raped. This is Un Zambian. This is like raping Nuns. Though Rape in whatever form and to who ever it is done to is a serious crime that must not be committed nor tolerated.

The parents of Zambia, lets take keen interest in what are children are watching, doing and the people they hang out with. bad habits can be stopped earlier when detected.
