PRESIDENT Banda has launched his Facebook page which will provide members of the public information about him and his family.
The Facebook page was launched yesterday after a successful response to the development map page and his website. (http://www.presidentbanda.com/map.aspx).
This is contained in a statement released yesterday by special assistant to the President for press and public relations Dickson Jere.
Mr Jere said Facebook was used effectively during campaigns by President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria in the run-up to the recent elections in that country and by President Obama of the United States.
He said visitors can find the President’s Facebook page on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rupiah-Bwezani Banda/130153693719287

Nigeria and the US both have enabled the majority of their citizens to have access to the internet at low cost. RB and Shikapwasha have been trying to withhold information and associated services for some time now and access to internet is still very expensive for the majority of Zambians. RuBbish..I left Zed over ten years ago, I actually cried when I visited the country a few years back, konse kwalipwa, especially ku Copperbelt, the state of the roads was horrendous. Then we had to face a very tough situation where there was no water and fuel for nearly a week! What happens to all the revenue from the sale/export of copper?? The politicians also have a habit of running to countries like SA when they are sick..nensoni takwaba..If the PM of England fell sick, he will not be rushed to any other country for treatment, awe..thats why countries are expected to invest in the health systems in their respective countries.
