DEFENCE Minister Geoffrey Mwamba has appealed to the Church and the people of his constituency to pray for him as he serves in
Government and represents them as Member of Parliament(MP).
Mr Mwamba said the people should not hesitate to advise him whenever he went wrong.
He said this when he handed over a Convent he and his family built at a cost of KR498,000 for the Kasama Diocese at St. John’s Parish.
“My family and I decided to build this house for the Church because Kasama is our home and we feel obliged as a family to do so.
“I ask you to pray for me for wisdom. You are the people that made me what I am today and if I don’t respect you then I am nobody,” he said
He donated KR100,000 to Kasama Diocese Archbishop Ignatius Chama to assist the vulnerable and gave KR10,000 each to the four priests that were ordained on Saturday to help them settle down.
Bishop Chama thanked Mr Mwamba for the assistance he had rendered to build the Convent for sisters of the Young Child Jesus Christ after the old one was gutted last year in April.
He urged the congregants and the people in general to imitate Mr

Meanwhile, Mr Mwamba wondered why some media institutions were making issues out of his comments on differences among couples and wanted to portray
as though he had differences with his wife.
“Differences are inevitable in homes. Once in a while, people ‘pinch’ each other or differ in homes and this is reality. I have been married to my wife Chama for 36 years and I will never leave her,” Mr Mwamba
said.
Last week, Mr Mwamba was quoted in some sections of the media as saying beating a wife was a sign of love.
Several organisations condemned him.

Investors get what they call dividends from their investments and that money is personal, it doesn’t come in form of shares, bonds or whatever you want to call it, its cash to your accounts. And people are telling HH to donate part of that money. People invest for a profit, unless you are saying HH’s investments don’t yield any profits, which I doubt, the guy is such a greed SOB that he will never invest without reaping something out. At the end of the day cash is king, if HH is rich then he has cash or atleast assets which can be donated. Lets just give credit where its due, and take it from where its not due, badala ba HH cannot share pepe! Busy wanting to be president with no heart for the people.

God gives more to people who give or share. The property we have today is not meant for ourselves alone but to share with the people around. Greediness will always lead someone to be blind in one aspect, leadership. HH is a very good example, despite all the wealth he has, I have never heard him donate or sponsor apart from giving away cows at Tonga weddings.

There are a lot of rich people around the world, including HH, who mostly donate without publicity. GBM likes to show off. He is like the pharisees in the bible – praying at market corners for all to see. Some bloggers are suddenly excited by GBM’s supposed generosity and are praising him in the highest adulations. If he walked by, they would drop on their knees and kiss his feet. This is the man who almost killed his wife a short while ago. Now he is a hero in some peoples eyes. It takes very little for people (especially men) to turn away from the gender violence, abuse and trampling of the rights of our women and young girls that goes on daily in Zambia. You perceive women in the warped version of their existence being only to beget, look after children and pander to your needs .
