declared the winner of the Tuesday’s parliamentary by-elections in
Kaoma District
Newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Mangango Constituency Lingweshi Lyambai said his first priority is to look into the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) so that farmers in the area are empowered through the formation of cooperatives.
Mr Lingweshi said he will also lobby the Ministry of Community Development Mother and Child Health to ensure that an ambulance is sent to Mutondo health centre to ease the transport challenges the people face in accessing medical services at the nearest Mangango Mission Hospital.
Meanwhile, PF Mangango Constituency Campaign Manager Obvious Mwaliteta who is also Kafue Constituency Law maker said violence could not have made UPND win the by- election but that PF gave credible developmental messages to the electorates.
Mr Mwaliteta said PF has now three seats out of the 17 constituencies in Western Province.
And efforts to get a comment from UPND campaign manager who is also Lukulu West Member of Parliament Misheck Mutelo failed as he and his members run away from the mocking victory of Chongwe MP and PF Chairperson for elections Silvia Masebo and her campaign team.

declared the winner of the Tuesday’s parliamentary by-elections in
Kaoma District
UPND is finished
Well done PF
Thanks
Congratulations PF. Your strategy to arrest Shaka on false charges helped you to rig the elections by letting the PF cadres from Lusaka to vote using the voters’cards you bought from desperate villagers who had no understanding of the implications of their actions.
The 400 votes are not from the magongo residents but from PF cadres imported from Lusaka and other areas. Come 2016, we shall see how you shall import ghost voters from one region to another.
Truth be told, this win means nothing to PF. But it gives them that burst of short lived euphoria followed by prolonged confusion, anguish and fear of the UPND
So does the new MP also qualify to the K500million mid-term gratuity? Is he going to donate it to Mangango constituency?
This old man has surprised many,UPND is now humbled.Congratulations PF
YOU ARE 100% RIGHT. THEY ARE FINISHED AND IT’S HH WHO FINISHES HIS PARTY AND THE MEMBERS ARE SO STUP!D TO SEE IT.
How can PF’s major competitor be finished? You will soon run away from PF as none Bembas led by Kabimba take over the PF from Sata and his Northern goons. The PF campaign team in Mangango was entirely composed of the A team. Did you see any Northerner there? Civil war is brewing in PF.
Awe, Zambian logic is buffling! What UPND is finished when they are giving the Government, yes the government machinery sleepless nights? The UPND now is the PF’s development catalyst – PF only taking development to some non-Muchinga areas for the fear of UPND. I personally think that UPND is a force being reckoned with by PF – when you consider the many parties in the opposition; that their total sum does not even match the UPND. I do not think there is reason to worry by the UPND leadership, for example by losing an MMD seat to the current goverment, not party! Keep it up UPND; we need development to be taken by PF to all parts of Zambia, for fear of the opposition – UPND!
UPND is on facebook and southern province….Hakaisundila Humwine, kekekeke.
You will soon be joining NAREP or MMD as Kabimba’s none Bemba A Team finally takes over the PF. Civil war is brewing in PF.
What is the PF Government? It is a Government of the old, voted in by the young (majority), for both the young and the old.
IT IS THE GOVERNMENT OF PEOPLE- OLD AND YOUNG. THERE’S ROGERS LINGWESHI AND THERE’S ALSO MILES SAMPA.
Congratulation PF i now believe that you are a household political party across the country.
Sad for HH, he over sized himself
Dead wood being lifted by fresh roses
A FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER, YOU CALL HIM DEADWOOD! YOU ARE A JOKER. THIS ARE THE PEOPLE ZAMBIA NEEDS IN PARLY WITH VAST HUMAN RELATIONS EXPERIENCE.
Ha ha ha ha ha hakainyelawila humwine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now look at Nevers Mumba and his MMD coming second from last with 131 votes. Where is Nevers taking you imwe ba Lusambo don’t kutina mwebamusapota?
With this resounding victory for the just ended Mangango by-election, Just wondering if UPND will ever exist after 2016. am seeing a lot of squabbles within UPND to who takes over affairs of the Party after so many embarrassment from HH.
The squabbles are in your PF. Kabimba will impose himself as PF Presidential candidate and you Bembas wont accept it. Civil war is brewing in PF. Your uncle Chikwanda is already under fire from the A Team via Mmembe’s shinda paper!
Impako you are crazy!!ati Hakaisundila Humwine. yo
….and the President didnt even go to campaign, just saying!!
Witch craft in parliament coming
Congratulations to PF.The MMD should now look for a new president otherwise they are sliding dangerously down the sliperly hill and the crush will be devastating and bring us Ibola.
It is very embarrrassing to get 131 votes in a contituency which was until today held by them.Twapapata ba Mumba see you brought it upon youself by kicking out your two vice presidents, spokes person and a high ranking member. The two Doctors Kaingu, Chituwo,Dora and Mulusa are today laughing the loudests.Twanwa again more pop corns.
Congratulations to the people of Mangango for deciding to stick to pf.Now after the dust has settled, lets see whether the party will continue dishing out the money.Come 2016 the old man unfortunately will not be adopted.UPND did not lose any seat by the way but proved that now they are the party to watch.
UPND has not proved anything other than the fact that it is not a national party.
@John,unless you tell me you don’t know simple statistics then I will understand.I maintain that UPND did not lose anything neither did pf.The biggest losers were MMD.UPND came second less 4oo votes.
UPND can not penetrate bembaland because ba bemba northeners WILL not vote for candidate from another tribe period. “Ati wako ni wako”
MY CONGRATULATIONS GO TO THE PEOPLE OF MANGANGO. THEY ARE WISE TO ELECT A FORMER HEADMASTER. HEADMASERS HAVE VAST LIFE’S EXPERIENCES. EVEN IF HE WEREN’T PF AND THEY ELECTED HIM, IT WAS GOING TO BE A WISE MOVE. HOWEVER, THEY WERE EVEN MORE WISER TO ELECT SOMEONE FROM A VISIBLY WORKING GOVERNMEMNT. VIVA MANGANGO PEOPLE, VIVA ROGERS LINGWESHI. WE LOVE YOU PEOPLE OF MANGANGO. YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.
Congratulations to the victors……
Nevertheless, I would like to air my opinion on the way as a people we are trivialising the legislative house. My opinion is merely based on the post elections interview the ‘new’ MP gave. To me, he did not sound as some-one with a legislative competence, some-one who would vigorously debate and contribute meaningfully to say….economic, human rights, policy issues…bills etc. I urge political parties to sensitively assess, scrutinise and select candidates on bases of basic intellectual knowledge of parliament business…..otherwise we end up making a mockery of one of the supreme branches of government
Phew! So glad this is done. Next thrill…..Independence celebrations. Looking forward to it.
Now the violence shout subside to allow peace to return to the land!!
I know UPND has already congratulated PF for winning the seat in Mangango. What do other parties say such as MMD, ABZ, et al? As I reflect on Mangango, a picture comes to me of Nevers Mumba taking off on a jog in the morning. Jog, Ka? No wondr MMD lost. MMD leadership appears to leave in fantasy land. If Muhabi and Nevers do not organize themselves, their party is going down. Both Muhabi and Nevers should keep away from the coming by elections if MMD hopes of winning anything. I would like to know what Nevers has to say about Mangango since he camped there for days on end. HH too needs to develop a new strategy, insults and violence will not work.
HH will never win an election to become president because his beginning was in the first place sad. His entrance into politics was based on “Only a Tonga can ever lead UPND.” So, only fellow Tongas can vote for him. Forget about getting votes from Muchinga, Luapula, Northern, Copperbelt, Lusaka and part of Central. May be he may be win sympath votes from his trouble cousins from some parts of North Western province.
H H is not a good leader he is the Boss…. ask most of his workers country wide……….our party is finishing…Mazoka was excellent…..i m beginning to be party less now..heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I always have a fear to insult old people. Thet always come back viciously and bite. My Lyambai Lingweshi has just done that. Surprised all of us. I hope he gains weight in parliament. Congratlations. Democracy at work.
