Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi says the pressure is on them to win the 2014 Barclays Cup on Saturday.

Nkana face Zesco in this year’s final at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola hoping to redeem themselves after surrendering the FAZ Super Division title to the latter.

“For sure because as I always say Nkana is a big team at least each and every year we have to pick something we lost the league at least our focus now is on the Cup final,” Chambeshi said.

Chambeshi added that the presence of Nkana’s three Zambia players striker Ronald Kampamba, defenders Christopher Munthali and Donashano Malama will give them that extra boost.

However, Nkana have suffered nothing but agony against Zesco since the latter was promoted in 2004 suffering ten defeats and five draws.

2014 was even more painful after losing 1-0 at home in Kitwe and 3-0 away in Ndola.

Furthermore, memories are also still very strong in Nkana’s minds who lost to Zesco in the two sides previous Cup final meeting.

Zesco beat Nkana 5-0 in the final of the defunct Coca Cola Cup and the Kitwe side must be praying very hard that history does not repeat itself.
