TWO people in Sinda District in Eastern Province have suffered some
burns after being electrocuted at their farm and are currently
admitted to Katete’s St Francis Mission Hospital.
Mponda Mwale and Clementina Mwale both of Ernest Farms were on
Saturday at about 21:30 hours electrocuted when a ZESCO pole line that
passes on their field fell on them.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Alex Chilufya said that
the two sustained burns on their bodies describing the condition as
fair.
And police in Chipata have arrested a 30 year old woman for
assaulting her step daughter in Nabvutika township.
Mr Chilufya said that Christine Mvula assaulted her step daughter aged
seven years and that the girl sustained bruises on both legs.
