Government has announced that it will review the newly introduced penalty fees for traffic offences in the next Cabinet setting.
Information and Broadcasting Services Minister, Chisamba Kambwili, disclosed that after conducting thorough consultations and hearing the outcry of the general public over the revised penalty fees charged for traffic offences, Cabinet has decided to review the new fees.
He disclosed that yesterday during a Cabinet meeting held at State House, the Minister of Transport and Communications was directed to submit all the lists of old penalty fees to Cabinet with a view to reviewing the penalties downwards.
He said government will not unnecessarily increase penalty fees for vehicle owners.
The chief government spokesperson said the fees for traffic offences and many other fees will be considered in the next Cabinet meeting.
He hinted that Cabinet wants to revert to the old fees for traffic offences.
And commenting on the national prayers to be held on October 18, 2015, Mr Kambwili appealed to Zambians to take the day seriously and attend the event in masses.
He said the national prayers will be held as inter-denominational and will be organised under the leadership of a broader based Christian platform through church mother bodies.
Government has since thanked the Christian fraternity for the overwhelming support the declaration of the day of national prayers has received.
Meanwhile, the chief government spokesperson says it is unfortunate that some people have opted to shun the day of national prayers.
This govt is not serious road tax fees were increased and effected two months ago……..Police have also been charging new fees so what happens to those who have been penalised?I thought these fees were reviewed and effected after cabinet met.
You cannot bribe God for Jah font take no bribe…hence long hours of prayer with filth in People’s hearts, Jah will not answer the prayers. ..it is futile.
