President Rupiah Banda is welcomed by Kapiri Mposhi residents

President Rupiah Banda will Saturday leave for Kitwe on the Copperbelt where he is scheduled to commission mobile health services.

President Banda is also expected to commission Ndeke Village mini hospital, which will offer health services to over fifteen thousand people.

The ultra modern mini hospital has maternity, child health wings, laboratory and voluntary counseling and testing services.

The President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Dickson Jere told ZNBC News in a statement on Friday that the President will also officiate at the launch of the eye care campaign at China Sino-Zam in Kitwe.

Mr. Jere said each of the mobile hospital units will be managed by a team of medical experts.

Government bought mobile hospitals to improve the provision of health services in the country as it builds permanent structures.

Currently, government is building one hundred and twenty-five health posts across the country.

President Banda has so far this year alone commissioned Mumbwa District Hospital, Lusaka mobile health hospital, Central Province Health Unit and Kapiri Mposhi District Hospital.

Other district hospitals are being built in Choma and Lusaka.

President Banda is of the view that every Zambian citizen should have access to quality health care services.

President Banda’s government has placed the provision of quality health services to Zambian households as one of the priorities on its commitment to helping citizens lead healthy lives

  1. You re tired of this crap coz you re a crap yourself. We know the PF Kaponyas get irritated with development.

  2. Unfortunately in Zambia like many African countries except South Africa, electorates vote people based on personality and not policies, issues or agenda that must address things like reducing poverty, a vibrant education system, a solid healthcare system, high uneployment levels, job creation, economic participation by indeginous Zambians, reviving the manufacturing industry, agriculture, boosting tourism and most importantly reducing debt and sustaining economic growth.

  3. Misplaced development loan. Kitwe has sufficient health institutions which just need staff and medicines. Take these rubbish mobile hospitals to rural areas where health care is a disaster. The sad thing is you have dragged the entire nation especially generations to come into an avoidable debt. This team of crooks will be long dead by the time this debt will start biting on all fronts.

  4. LT you are liars, you ve never been to ndeke village because the mini hospital is not even halfway complete.how can u say ‘ultra modern’.if that is ultra modern then we are so backward.go to ndeke village first and come and tell us if that ka clinic is ultra modern.dont mislead people with yo propaganda party mmd.

  5. I feel sorry for mmd because there is completely nothing worth for the president to come and comission in ndeke village.this level of desparation by the president is worrying and an indication that he has done nothing because this same clinic was started more than 10 years now and people of ndeke village are alive to this fact.

  6. Mini-hospital, again these things MMD are just bringing ubututu back in Zambia. Clinics are now hospitals, Trade schools are Technical Universities, Great North & East Road MMD changed to International Infinity Highways, anything made or contracted by Chinese are UTRA Modern. Can’t they just call a hoe as a HOE and not a hand-held tractor?

  7. Its also about time RB commissioned the sewer/water /electricity to Ndeke Village or Meanwoodin Lusaka.. its so discouraging building at a site where these services are still far from beginning… as if its not in Lusaka..

    ala mwandi…

  8. I have just built a toilet at my place in Chingola plz RB come and commission this as well before u leave for LSK. THANKING U IN ADVANCE

  9. It is ridiculous for a head of state to commission a mobile health facility in an area which has adequate health facilities. It is just a campaign ploy to hoodwink the masses. What development is there on the CB? Look at the poor roads in Chingola and Mufulira to name just a few. Politics of appeasement are what have made this country sink so low. Besides what are ministers there for if the head of state has to launch or commission a shop, school, road etc?

  10. people pliz, there is no hospital he is coming to commission.I think MMD should be ashamed of their desperation to continue in power.I stay and live in Ndeke Village at G section and we can not be cheated by low thinking MMD that there is a Hospital in Ndeke village. There is an incoplete three roomed building started in 2005 by Webby Chipili during campaign time and has taken another 6 years for the MMD to start the Construction what a pit…..

Note that you are dealing with people who are learned and aware of the strateges MMd is using.Roads all along have been bad but coz RB is coming They have found money to repair what type Propaganda is this……..Rubbish and Nosense…….

  11. The JERABOS have even put up a big banner at nkana east/west robots welcoming RB into kitwe.no wonder this gang of criminals feel untouchable coz RB tolerates criminals…shame!!!!

  12. Ultramodern!! God have mercy on zed. Anything new in Zambia is ultramodern. Interesting most of these ‘ultramodern’ hospitals have iron sheets for roofing and poorly ventilated consultation rooms. This is considered ‘ultramodern’ in zambia!
