Levy hails Zambia/China relations

President Levy Mwanawasa  has hailed the People’s Republic of China for its good bilateral relations with Zambia.

President  Mwanawasa said Zambia and China enjoy good relations which are mutually beneficial to both countries.

Mr. Mwanawasa made the remarks when the Chinese military delegation lead by General
Deng Changyou  paid  a courtesy call on  him at  state  house.

He expressed optimistic that the delegation would have fruitful discussion with their Zambian counterparts.

Earlier Defence Minister George Mpombo  said the visit  was intended to cement the military ties between Zambia and China.

Mr. Mpombo  said  the cordial relations which President  Mwanawasa has been working
on with that the country should be enhanced.

He added that the delegation has come as a reciprocal to the earlier visit by former
Defence Minister Mundia Muliokela to that country.

  2. Zababa is right. China can never be a very good friend. Chinnesse monopoly would surely do us more harm than good. They are up to something. The Government knows exactly. They surely also want to flood our markets with fake goods from china. We better watch out.

  3. Why is the Western world fighting for the Chinese and Indian markets, yet they are the worst in human rights abuse? The whole world are inviting China and India, yet Africa does not want it?
