  1. Thumbs up to the well deserved awards from FAZ and KCM. Let these awards be a stepping stone for great things to come for Kalaba and Mayuka. But i would like to give advise to the recipients that do not let the awards go to your heads because it can be the begining of your down fall.

  2. This gala was shambles. We keep shooting ourselves in the foot (and the back too). Never seem to get simple things right. Mayuka deserved to win but was robbed. How do people change award recipients at their own whims. FAZ grow up, show us some decency.

  3. The confusion at the awards as reported by the Weekly Post, if true is just a reflection of whats happening in Faz as an association.Kalaba couldn’t get the winners cheque cos it was written in Mayuka’s name who was the initial winner. This can bring tension between the two players involved.I hope the remain mature and move on.
    Yaba!

  4. But Pa Zed we r something else, its only in Zed where u can bcome an MP by mere “slip of the tongue” by returning officers.
How do u reverse a decision without informing the committee shame

  5. Chamanga demolishes Stars
    Dec 9 2007

James Chamanga scored five goals as Moroka Swallows beat Platinum Stars 6-2 in an Absa Premiership encounter in Germiston on Sunday afternoon.

The Swallows striker completed his hat-trick in just six minutes, with Sandile Ndlovu adding one more before the break, before the Zambian added two more in the second half, while Sipho Mchabe and Edward Williams netted for Stars.

Chamanga started his demolition job in the 20th minute with a simple tap in aft

  6. The going-ons in faz is a clear reflection of what Zambia has become of late. These things never happened when zed was still a sane nation. How could they honestly behave like this? Simple. They knew they were going to get away with it.

Please people help bring sanity to zed

  7. Kemps i watched the game on Supersport 5.James had a stunning game.He set a South African record by being the first player to have scored 5 goals in one Psl game. I am also impressed by Jacob Mulenga’s form he played 90 minutes yesterday as Rc Strasbourg beat Rennes 3-0.I wacthed him last week when Strasbourg were butchered by Lyon and i wasn’t disappointed. He seems to be the only guy in Europe playing consistently.Though Mbesuma came on as a Sub last week and this weekend for Bursaspor.

  8. Kalaba deserves the awards but he needs to learn how to shoot penalties. Him and Chamanga cost us the COSAFA game against RSA.

  9. Chamanga is a good player but like Kemps rightly put it, he lacks consistence. He needs to aim higher and he be better than what he is. I wonder what P.Phiri is gona receive this news about the 5 goals Chamanga scored.

  10. Yes Chamanga’s form has plummeted since moving from Super Sport United. In my opinion mother luck played an important role for those 5 goals he scored. He does not deserve a place for the trip to Ghana.

  11. This is so surprising that people cant see the real thing here. Kalaba was the voted winner of the Footballer of the Year Award. Its the people in the committee who tried to daniel him his privaledge but thanks to Mr. Teddy Mulonga for seeing the truth and and putting the right name on the list. Look at the games Kalaba has played and compare them to Mayuka’s. Lets just say Kalaba needs to work on his displinary conduct on and off the pitch.

Kala you deserved it. That was yours

  12. Kalaba is a good a player. we’ve witnessed him score superb goals in the just ended FAZ/KCM season. He really deserves the award. He just needs to work on his discipline/unsportsmanship behaviour.
As for Chamanga, patrick Phiri should never waste his time on looking at the option of adopting him in his squad for the AFCON.He was given a chance to play the whole entire 90Min inthe COSAFA final and was leading the frontline but we did not even have a single shot on target. He canbe blunt at times

  13. If FAZ was not decided they should have let both players share the prize. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to think of that.

  14. Hey! So Kalaba is now playing in my club, Gil Vicente. He signed contrat with Braga, but he was loaned. Can you tell me if he is a really good player? We are in 2 Division and this is the year to go to the first Division! Thanks!
