  1. Good news,

When will this happen in the CB especially Ndola city hub of the copperbelt and home of zamtel?

  2. Fibre optic cables, that’s very good news and am sure our communications problems will be eased.

  3. Good news.Communication is so vital to any economic growth,.More services please.

    • Big brother, it is good u r getting informed through Lusaka Times. Greetings. This development has is long overdue. We give Zamtel a pat on the shoulder, certainly, their corporate shoulder.

  4. Good news hope the chinese did not do crap this time around. the believe in quantity not quality…..

  5. Thats the best news to have come out of the Motherland in recent times

  6. While it is good news to learn of installation of a Metropoliatan Fibre Optic System, I would like to find out if this particular technology is not already outdated for Zamtel to use at this particular time.

Let us try to use the most recent technology to make ourselves do a real catch-up with the developed world!

  7. …ahhh with this fibre optic broadband, electronic transfer of election results will never be the same again. Zamtel will now control who wins and loses in elections. The news is good for business and bad for democracy. Election rigging has a new breath of life! Remember what happened in 2006?

  8. why is it that in Zambia it take us years just to accomplish something that shouldn’t even take that long I think we have been waiting for this far too long that I have now given up on Zamtel sorry to disappoint them but they started telling us about this fiber optic long long ago. I only wish them good luck and may there projects to come take effect a bit faster than usual!

  9. Its great news for Zambia . Does this mean that the cell phone companies can change to 3g and everyone benefit . I sure hope so .
