38 clubs in Southern Province back Kalusha

Share

Thirty eight (38) football teams in southern province have thrown their weight behind Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) vice president Kalusha Bwalya’s aspiration to take over the organisation’s top seat.

ZANIS sports reports the clubs’ spokesperson Opper Hamiyanze saying in a statement released in Choma , Wednesday, that the teams still stand by their earlier declaration made in Livingstone to back Kalusha.

Hamiyanze said the clubs in the province maintained that they are resolved to support Kalusha adding that nothing will change their resolution.

He said the teams believe that ‘ Great Kalu ‘ has vast experience appreciated world over and that his connections with the outside world can take Zambian football to another level.

He said once elected as FAZ president, Kalusha Bwalya has the potential of introducing football colleges to produce quality Zambian football professionals fit for big clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal.

Outgoing FAZ president Teddy Mulonga and Lusaka Dynamoes proprietor Anif Adams have also announced their intentions of challenging for the FAZ hot seat during the FAZ AGM on March 29

  1. Southern province thats the way to go. We need people with a vision, exposure and substance like Kalu. Look at how football has grown in Ghana. Ghana is now the best country in Africa as far as youth football development is concerned. This is because of Abedi Pelle’s influence and connections. Big Euroean clubs are now running football accademies in Ghana. Reale accademies where young people recieve formal education and are trained by expirienced expatrieate coaches not this Zambian version of accademies

  2. am telling you. we will see who will cry. southern cannot be kalu, what are you think. its a lie, these are just stories.

  3. & nobody z screaming tribalism this time around.People from that part of country have always voted for quality leadership tho empty heads accuse them of tribalism.

  4. Southern Province is just a heel of Zambia, no wonder they are tribalistic. Who told tou the whole province is for “YOUR GREAT GALU” TO HELL WITH YOUR GALU. This time around my friends NO APARTHEID, Zambia chalo chesu bonse. DIPAK? MAC O’DONEL? GUY SCOT? YOU ALLOWED A MAN FROM CONGO D R to rule you what more HANIF. LET HIM TAKE OVER THE ROTTEN TEDDY MULONGA FAZ AND CLEAN IT. VIVA HANIF ADAMS, NOW WE SEE THE LIGHT.
    “GALU SHA” SHUT UP.
“GALU”SHA MUST START ORGANISING HIS LIFE NOW ORELSE HE WILL BE ASKING FOR A LIFT FROM ME SOON. HIS MANY WOMEN WILL SOON DRINK HIS LITTLE WEALTH DRY.

  5. # 16, are kinda hooligan from the street.Come on stop using that nasty language of yours.Honestly, you cant go on calling Kalu as galu.kalu has done a lot for our country and you cant compare him to any zambian footballer in history.
Personally, i am not supporting him for Faz presidency but i got respect for the man.
So mr whatever””dean of students”, if you got nothing to say, please just dont say anything cause you are just showing us how a Stiff necked fool you are.

  6. WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE FROM THE SOUTH ARE ALWAYS GOING ON ABOUT TRIBALISM? THIS REALLY ANNOYS ME. IF TRHE MAN CAN DO IT LET HIM.
#16 YOU NEED A BRAIN TRANSPLANT. IF YOU AINT GOT NOTHING TO SAY DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. YOUR INPUT WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
BY THE WAY I HAVENT MET ANY OTHER TRIBE THAT COMPLAINS ABOUT TRIBALISM THE WAY THE TONGA AND LOZI PEOPLE DO. IF YOU WANT TO GET TO THE TOP PUT YOUR SELF OUT THERE DONT EXPECT THINGS TO COME TO YOU. THATS JUST MADNESS.

  7. Hanif Adams has been running a football club Lusaka Dynamos for a very long time and as far as i can remember he has been very succesful. He is also an accomplished business man and a Zambian born and bred. Stop the rot and elect Hanif to the FAZ top seat. I have every confidence that he will take football to another level in Zambia.
Kalusha was a good football player but he is not an administrator. When are you people going to learn about not supporting people by name. No wonder our country is not moving forward because of your ignorance. Hanif Adams is your man and i urge you to give him all your support. He will bring in the much needed financial support from his business associates.

  8. Reports that Southern province clubs are behind Kalu for presidency are a great crack in the foundation of Zambian football. I hope and am optimistic the gathering was by a mere rented mob. I say so because one wonders what kalu has contributed administravely to Zambian Football or just in Southern province for him to think he has the capability to succesfully head FAZ or even CAF.Kalu himself is a product of ZCCM youth sports development programme. Today there is no ZCCM. Hanif has been involed in that for 29 years and so is Simata Simata.Kalu nothing, busy trying to climb a tree through the leaves. Adedi pele sponsors and coaches a team in Ghana. Why can’t kalu do the same to B/pool? Shame

  9. Today Faz needs selfless people like brother Hanif and Simata Simata not self centered, obsinete, headstrong , stiff-necked and know it all characters like Kalusha Bwalya. The young man (Kalu)is so big-headed that he thinks he can effectively do administration in such a big office when he has no track record of doing such kind of a job.Kalusha a jack opf all trades and master of non. Coaching, Administartion, Commementry, confusion etc.ABASH KALU….! Hanif for president, Simata Vice-President and Charles Musonda as National Team coach. It is time we also considered ‘Chalie cool’he has the credentials for the job.

  10. Kalu is the man. Some people think running a football team is the same as running FAZ but is it? We really need a man who is not into running football for the sake of making profits as MR Adams is. Thats why his team cannot improve.

Kalu is known across the world and is part of the FIFA technical committee. He was also part of the South African 2010 world cup bid, and his contributions are well appreciated in R.S.A. It is time we gave the mandate to our great son to take charge and show us the way. If the world trusts him what about Zambia. We really need someone who cannot be swayed around by irrational people and Kalu is the man. With Kalu we are on the move!

  11. #24 You have got it wrong..!You lack analysis.Listen now: Just as your can not separate being an Experienced Minning Engineer to becoming General Manager of a Mine,You can not seperate running a football team from becoming a FAZ boss. What is FAZ by the way? It is an association of if you like a collection of football teams in Zambia. So where do you get experience to run FAZ? Simple from local Clubs. How do we say you capble of running FAZ affairs effectively? Simple from your works at club level. How can you well understand the problems of adminstaring foot in Zambia with experience at Club level? It is difficult.
In this vain we say:VIVA HANIF, ABASH KALU

  12. #24 Respect Hanif for there are very few business men who are willing to pump their monies into soccer in Zambia. Remember CAN 2008 was not screened why? for the same reason I have alluded to earlier. You are wrong again…! Everywhere today soccer is a business and us in ZED need toi realise that and take appropriate action and make soccer a money spinner because thats what it is-Thanks god Hanif is capable of doing that. But what matters is in whose interest is the business conducted? Thats why we are not for people with the “aniumal in man’ like Kalu in other words we are not for self-centered lads like kalu.
