  1. Ok Collins, I guess he has to sit down, evaluate and relaunch himself. He still can rediscover himself. All he needs is counsel, support and his will power and discipline.

  2. Well the coach had to make a decision and if you ve been off the pitch for sometime then you need to get in shape before you take part in national duties.

  3. I gather that maritimo cs is chasing after him. I feel bad that it should end up like that for zambia’s brightest prospect.

  4. Sichone, though has never impressed me, should be recalled He can make a difference. He’s got a good height to deal with adebayo.

  5. It is a pity that Mbesuma still fails to realise that football is 70% fitness and 30% talent. He still thinks that he can turn up for training smelling of alcohol from the night before. He needs to get his priorities right.

  6. i Still dont understand why Zambia doesnt not hang on to some old players..i agree with number 4..i am sure we all know what kills zambia at the big competition is the lack of experience

we practically have a new team every game..this is not liverpool..!!

  7. Mbesuma is young enough to get another chance, and make the most out of it. He may have personal discipline problems, but perhaps being done at Bursa will teach him a lesson. It is also hard to judge a player when they are coming off a knee injury, those usually take longer to get back into form then when the player is physically able to play.

  8. #7, you are right. Any one poor performance by a veteran by Zambian standards, that is it. Great teams keep experienced players for years. They do provide the magic from time to time in crucial encounters. Remember Roger Miller?

  9. It is these days difficult to have old and experienced players because most of them are not displined and have limited education. Once they make a bit of money they become moving tarvens and womanizers – all these are not good for players. after playing for few years they get finished.

  10. i went all the way from ankara to bursa to visit my fellow Zambian, only to find out that Mbesuma is refusing to keep up my phone when released i had arrived in Bursa. I had told him i will bursa. Its shame!! We are only 4 zambians in Turkey! Well i wish him lucky and quick recover!

  11. Mbesuma is a DOGI, chi…puba umwaiche and the FACT IS “HE WILL NEVER GO ANTWHERE” just like the likes of Mutapa, Emanuel Zulu he should just go back to Zambia and start farming

  12. this fool was one of the over rated player. And there are so many Mbesuma’s in Zambia. All they know is once they become famous, they become big headed, look at Michael Vick, Mike Tyson,Zab Juda, Dale Stawberry, Antonio Tarver, Fernando Vargas, I feel all Zambian sports are like that.

  13. Mbesuma has been injuried not ukupwa. let him recover and # 12 I understand u but just becoz u are from the same country with some one does not gurantee friendship. Mbesuma might have been avoding negative publicity ,for instance, u coming on LT to telling us about ur personal friendship. Later

  14. #13, I agree with you.You know sometimes, education is important in life.Look at Mbesuma and Zulu, their level of education corresponds with their behavior. They wont anywhere, its sounds unpleasant but its the truth.

  15. #13, #16 and #18 you are very right. This guy is more than a Dog. Look at Elija Litana, where is he? Wawa, where is he? These are the players who used to buy ubwalwa bonse mu bar and started giving prostitutes free. #17 u should think properly. If Mbesuma gave u some money, its very unfortunate. Just prepare him a garden as he is headed for total following Litana’s steps.

  16. how funny is it that #16 had to actually use celebs to compare to zambian soccer players..

coz u dont see rubbish like this in other soccer players in the world

why is it that after 1993 we only get *ONE* so called talented player at a time..???

  17. STOP STOP STOP!!!Gents insulting and looking down upon our players is not the best THING to do.The blame goes to Faz and the Ministry of youth and Sport. In Faz and in the Ministry there must be committes that should look after the welfare of our sports men, adivise and teach them one or two things that would help them become world class sportsment. No one really cares about our young men but we are the first to condemn. For National failures we should all share the blame. Some you guyz have better ideas but you have always kept them to urselves, shame

  18. #19, #13 and #18 You guys know what you are talking about. #17 You don’t need to baby sit this Mbesuma fool, he f#CKED many times and he thinks he’s a world class player, never and will not reach that status. Home boy had 1 opportunity in his life when he went to England but he F#CKED big time.

  19. #20 don’t you guys treat your National Soccer Team as Celebs, look here man, that the problem with a tipical Zambian, they tend to ignore things when its happening.#21 you had some points but the entire FAZ is BS.

  20. he became to exicited with life from poverty suddenly to richies,he needed conselling just at that time,or some intermediate stage in between,3 things you cant recover once lost are time, opportunity and life.same story goes for sichone and the rest of them, pride is the death of the average zambian, cant these fox learn from WaWa and Litana, they are now buggered, they dont have even a hut to live in,its a shame. If only mbesuma can start all over again,he may have some chance,God bless him,at least he has a heart,i like him.

  21. I am not getting one thing clear here,Are people laughing or critizing Mbesuma here?Mbesuma is not the cause of poverty in Zambia,if at all he came from such a background then he is just a mere victim.Kaunda and Chiluba are responsible for the poverty of our country. Please try to direct poverty related matters to UNIP AND THE MMD.

  22. Namgu Mbesuma chipuba after bamusha ku Africa cup bamwite kuyateya naba IRAN. Ala imwe, nangu amba ine nga nalikene. After all he is safeguarding his life because those Mujahedin, Talibans & Suicide bombers Iran trains are very unpredictable. LET HIM REFUSE, HE HAS ALL THE RIGHTS AFTER ALL THIS HUMILIATION YOU ZAMBIANS SUBJECT HIM TO. One can’t be in form 365 days in a year. Bushe abomfya amafuta nangu mulopa?

  23. #25 We are not laughing at Mbesuma awe. We are saying he is not a responsible person. ALITUMPA. We don’t want him to come and trouble us 2 years from now when he will be asking for donations because he can’t buy tropicals or cannot pay house rent or he can’t buy mealie meal or cannot pay consultation fee at the hosppital. Wawa’s children are being looked after by an ophanage in Muf. Now imagine the inconvenience he is doing to people looking after the children when he used to get over US$20,000 per month and those people did not even get a penny. Even all prostitutes have run away from him.

  24. we should not worry about mbesuma the guy is a sh!t player, was a sh!tty player and will forever be sh!t, just because he was top scorer in SA dont mean he is world class he is an overrated prick who should not be given a reprieve by faz let him rot wherever, he should take that head of his which looks like a loaf of bread back to where his ancestors ba kasai used to take their dumps.

  25. Munyaule amvele munshe iweeeee!!!! SA league is hopeless, even Kenneth Malitoli can be top scorer if he went to play there today.

  26. I do not agree with any one condeming Mbesuma.there are two sides of life highs and lows. Mbesuma has been plagued with injusries. A few years back he was a heor scoring hattricks for zambia, now that is is no longer doing that, then you demonine him. This is the time that he needs our 100% support, it can happen to any one. Never laugh/scoff at you friend, you never know what might happen to you tomorrow. The boy will come right. Give him a chance.

  27. You #31 This guy is just too big headed as rightly put by #29 that is why we are laughing at him. See how Great Kalu behaves completely different from this *****. This is the beginning of his end. In life you should always plan for things. Him did not plan and finished all his money on prostitutes. So let him join his friend litana and wawa and life continues.

  28. At the time when most people were busy saying that Mbesuma should join the EPL,former Kaiser Chiefs coach Ted Dimitru was spot on that Mbesuma wasn`t ready for the big league.Soccer has now developed into a science and not every jim and jack can read this art.
Few weeks ago most people where busy saying that Renard is the wrong choice to coach our national team but already people are having a different opinion.Like Kalu says that eyes on the ball but I would add that “bola panshi nabepi bateyeko”
    Viva Renard Viva Zambia.

  29. I was not given a chance at Portsmouth. I scored goals for Zambia and now when I need you you shun me. At Portsmouth they did not even let me play one full game. How can u criticise me. I was oversized at Kaizer Chiefs but I still scored 35 goals. At Maritimo I was top goalscorer. How many games did I play for Bursaspor? Did they give me a chance? When given opportunity I have always delivered. Why do you shun me now? I served my country with honour and now u shun me?

  30. They did not give you chance (if u are truely mbesuma, which I doubt) because walipwa. Don’t talk about history now. Look to the future man. Your future is where Litana is.

  31. #35 MODERATE
Ninshi nalaikalila zee? May you bring out some points either for or against so that we can logically debate.

  32. #35 MOderate
RENARD IS ON TRACK, says Simwanza
RENARD is on the right track, Football Association of Zambia committee member Pivoty Simwanza has said.

In a telephone interview from Tripoli yesterday following Zambia’s 2-all draw against Libya on Thursday night, Simwanza said the Frenchman is showing a lot of enthusiasm in his latest job.

He said Renard, who took over the reins as Chipolopolo Boys trainer in the game against Libya, demonstrated his abilities to organise a formidable Chipolopolo Boys.
Simwanza, who is delegation leader, was full of praise for Renard’s coaching tactics after the match

  33. already the new coach has statrted on a wrong foot. How can Pivoty be his delegation leader, Pivoty is a washed out fool. He use to be my neigbor so i know how this guy operates, corrupt mind all the time. Nothing good for Zambia if this fool delegate the team. About our Golden Child,Mbesuma no one is through hard punches at him. As a sportman he should take any heat all anytime good or bad. We know he was a top scorer but that was then, as a sportman he needs to stay in shape. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THE ZAMBIA NATIONAL TEAM(SOCCER) MAYBE IF THEY CHANGE THEIR NAME TO MANCHESTER UNITED FC

  34. iwe chapi no.38 i dont know why we are even wasting money hiring a new coach ba zambia makula balipwa, akale u had players who were big like an OX abena samuel chomba, melu, gibby mbasela and they were skillful, aswell as technically sound, case in fact timothy ‘teacher’ mwitwa nabena derby makinka. Noti utuma pygmy brothers utubena katongo naulya black giraffe ati jacob mulenga ma rubbish. Then u allow abena pivoty simwanza to mislead us about zambia’s new coach, in fact pivoty wtf what sort of name is that? I am looking forward to abena clifford mulengas intake the current under 20s and under 23 not aba ba kasai abena 10 dandage mbesuma

  35. #44 TEACH THESE GUYS REAL SOCCER. THE CURRENT TEAM ZAMBIA HAS NOW COULDN’T EVEN BEAT NKANA, WARRIOS, MIGHTY, DYNAMOS, BRAVES, RANGERS, OF THE 80’S OR THE 90’S AT ALL. CHAPI YOU GUYS SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT. #44 I THINK HE CAN DELEGATE THE SOCCER TEAM BETTER THAN THE MONKEY LOOK LIKE PIVOTY SIMWANZA.

  36. Some of the language here is too offensive.Lets critise but we need to be constructive in our citicism not insele.

  37. Pivoty was wrong to praise the coach as he was a delegation leader, bcoz the coach will be big headed b4 he brings gud results. Let the new coach try all the proffesionals we have including mbesuma our injury struggling hero. Go Zambia Go!!

  38. Mbesuma is a fool, ***** and an embicile. The chap has no brains and thinks nichiloto fye..the boy has no focus. He is not well structured and lacks slf descipline. I expect very litte from him..I hope he proves me wrong 4 his own good..

  39. Please 49 stop using insulting language.Mbesuma was and is still our hero. He just needs our prayers and support so that he can amend all his wrong doings and put futubo as numba one in his career.but he shud remember God his creator all the time.

  40. Hi everyone,

I have found this site www(dot)iranfootballonline(dot)com/ifotv/index.php

I think they will be showing the Zed vs Iran game.

  41. My best advise for Mbesuma is that re-organsie your life becasue everyone consider you to be a double playboy.the best will find a club within your reach and make yourself a name that the majority will prove you right as for now stop crying for playing for the national team.it is embarrassing to have in the national team when you only play for only three minutes at your club.let call a spade a spade, you are have failed, try again and dont rush in doing things.

  42. it is only in Zambia where they play names ,if i was a coach Mbesuma would not be near my list,he has failed dont will have other plays we can try, stop playing names

  43. it is only in Zambia where they play names ,if i was a coach Mbesuma would not be near my list,he has failed dont you have other plays we can try, stop playing names

  44. Hey whisper #51,thankx for the website,I have checked it out but it seems they charge some dollars to streamline it.If thats not the case please advice me on how to watch. Thank you

  45. #44 MODERATE & #45 DASANI
Do not live in the past. Are you now suggesting that we withdraw from all competitions or we go and raise our fallen heroes from the dead to come play soccer. You need to be sensible and realistic.Learn to live in the present and articulate the way forward.

  46. exactly, the way forward is 2 nurture the next generation abena clifford 2 the accepted standard of world football dude do u really think the likes of isaac chansa can cut the bacon at the world cup against the likes of essien, gerrard or gattuso? what we need 2 do is make our players use their strength more effectively or build on their size i mean this past africa cup we had the smallest and weakest team even sudan with all its problems had more physical presence than our tuma minute stars. Football has changed, strength is necessary nowadays and before most of the world started making the most of it ZAMBIA was already exploiting it, kelvin mutale was bigger than drogba

  47. /cont…..and if u know ur football u will realise that we had a world class striker on the rise he died when he was 23 nomba we have turned full circle we have a team that is not competitive got no respect for the shirt they wear and believe me i dont even think half of them know the national anthem we are so desperate and useless that if a player manages to score a goal nowadays we are promoting them to sergeant…. is it just me or what because if i recall the army never used to give intepe for scoring goals because that was expected of u those days if u were from green buffalos this is a disgrace…….seriously where in the world…. ati ba zambia…..kwena how the mighty have fallen

  48. Hi CS,

No they don’t charge. Just go to the live game icon and click. The game is on right now, infact they have gone in for half-time. The game will also be available to watch ‘on-demand’ on the same site.

I don’t want to spoil anyones enjoyment so I won’t say the score here.

  49. Iran 2 Zambia 1 (live report after 60 minutes) some zambian players went directing to the stadium from the airport

  50. no.59: wamona chapi nalekweba ati wait for abena clifford’s intake thats a realistic target noti the present monkeys abena isaac chansa and joseph musonda, if it wasn’t for the tuma under 21 stars kola and clifford we would have been embarrased, nabo ba chamanga nepala ilya….useless so boyi natupembela abaiche when they come of age

  51. #59 Chapi now we are talking soccer brother. I know you had some good ideas. Modern Sports is about match ups, so Zed need to study tapes, stactics of their opponate team before the games. Any good Soccer, Basketball, Football, Boxer, hockey, Baseball team study another team before game time. It’s not just to have a good coach, but all the team needs is good supporting cast, film director, good physicians, trainers, and sold team. You Chapi, the most sicking thing is Zambia is well supported Worldwide, but they don’t produce. For how long are we gonna be lossers? The thing which hurts more is look at other African countries, they have the same resources, what makes them shine when it counts?

  52. Cs # 63 Thanks for the results.I cant say much till we get full detalis on the game. But it good to see the young boys Mayuka, Kolala,Clfford coming of age .Though i know Iran is not a ‘takataka’ team.

  53. Whisper, #51, thanks for the link. I just managed to watch the whole game. The two penalties (definitely the second one) appeared dubious at best. Iran’s second goal was a defensive error (no surprise there). I thought Iran could have scored more in the first half if they had not gone for style points. Zambia played much better in the second half. Clifford scored from a header (keeper was totally stranded) via a Chinyama cross. Rodger Kola scored from a hard shot that I thought I going directly at the keeper. The midfield seemed to be missing creativity and we did not take advantage of our speed on the wings.

  54. By the way, Zambia came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game and was controlling the game until that dubious penalty. James Chamanga who was substituted for Kola missed at point blank range in the first half after freeing himself impressively in the 18.

  55. I like most of the contributions on the blog today, with such people around Zambia as a country is headed for success .Keep it up lads

  56. #60 Man u players are small even compared to the other teams or Chelsea, its upto the team or coach s strategy.A coach first assess the players then decides the best system for them and not the other way round

  57. n0.73 u talk crap, ferdinand, ronaldo, brown, tevez, carrick, vidic, hargreaves, that is 70% of the starting 11 that beat chelsea do u mean to tell me that the average height of these seven players is below 6 feet ? u must be crazy, yes tevez isnt that tall but he has a bigger upper body which is important in football nowadays not these tuma wire footballers we have ati james chamanga and all of the above that i mentioned weigh 75kgs and above but our team we have players weighing 60 kgs
