Govt Denies Reports of 25, 000 SA Xenophobia Victims

Share

Government has denied receiving a request to provide asylum to 25, 000 refugees from South Africa, who are allegedly on transit to Zambia following the recent violence against foreign immigrants in that country.

Chief Government Spokesperson, Mike Mulongoti, told ZANIS in a statement this evening that there was no such movement of asylum seekers as stated by the South African Broadcasting Corporation and the international media.

Mr Mulongoti explained that the media misunderstood the International Federation of the Red Crescent Societies, Head of Southern Africa Zone, when he referred to the inter agency contingency plan developed by the UN, Red Cross Movement and the Zambian government in relation to the potential sudden population movement from neighbouring Zimbabwe.

Mr Mulongoti, who is also information and broadcasting minister, said the inter agency contingency plan was developed long before the Xenophobic attacks broke out in South Africa.

“The correct position is that there is no such a movement. The International Federation and Red Crescent Societies have since clarified the matter, saying there was a misunderstanding by the media of what the Head of Southern African Zone of the body was referring to,” read Mr. Mulongoti’s statement.

He said government would, therefore, only consider the matter after receiving an official request from the UN through the High Commissioner for Refugees.

He advised members of the public not to entertain the statement indicating that 25, 000 refugees are currently trekking from South Africa to Zambia.

He said even in an event where a formal request was made to Zambia, the country needed to prepare logistics, space and other facilities to embrace such a task.

“Since so far, we have not received anything of that sort, we would like to appeal to members of the general public to ignore the statement and should there be any development to that effect, we shall inform them accordingly,” added the statement.

  1. Nigeria has compiled a list of Nigerians in South Africa affected by Xenophobia and has asked South African Government to compensate for all the loses the Nigerians have suffered. Way to go Nigeria, at least there is one country in Africa with the balls to stand against South Africa

  2. What exactly did the Head of southern Africa zone say? Mulongoti you can do better than this. That is why i totally agree with # 1 that there is no smoke without fire.

  3. Yes nigerian brodas, that is the way to go. Other countries should follow suit. If you are not compasated, just freeze assets of all SA companies like MTN, Vodacom, Shoprite, Game, Nandos, Ellerines, Sun International, and the list goes on so they feel the pinch. They are taking business from our people and we never attack them and what gives them the right to attack other nationals.

PS: In the picture, was the guy set on fire? Poor chap. These people are really evil , how do you do that to a fellow african and sing songs about it.

  4. In away it is a relief because the figure was quite astronomical for an economy like ours to handle. I think the Nigerians have shown the way to go. we should also ask for compensation for our two families who were affected in South Africa. Their windows must be repaired

  5. Out of shame and condemnation the south African public has started contributing towards the welfare of the displaced foreigners.Even big companies are pledging milions worth of aid. The Refugees dont want Govt to help them since they say the RSA govt does not care, they would rather get aid from UNHCR and the public .The statement by the Nigerian Govt that it wants compensation is welcome indeed, that is why even at all any Zimbo Refugee comes to Zambia the South African Govt should pay us also.

  6. I don’t know what this govt official is saying. I listened to the 19h00 SA News bulletin a few days ago and I saw Zimbabweans boarding a bus supposedly heading to Zambia. The Zimbos in the bus were interviewed and yes they said they had decided to go Zambia. Whether the Z-Govt was requested or not Zimbos are heading to Zambia. PERIOD. Unfortunately, they will be documented as visitors; my guess is that most of them have relatives/friends already in Zambia. I don’t believe what this guy is saying in the press. Do you? Who will get to the bottom of the smoke and tell us if there’s a fire raging underneath?

  7. He is behaving like thabo mbeki too! He won’t call them refugees, what refugees??? Just visitors I suppose!!

  8. I have all my guns oiled and ready to slay any sekurus that will dare venture into my country. These fools are very ungrateful, let them dance to the great grand children of Shaka’s assegais, ki difekane shosholoza tate. I also have boats patrolling our common border, any Zim seem swimming accross will be “minisad” forthright. These cowards, they should stay home and not be scared of a fight with a dry old foll like Mugabe.

  9. Another, assumption or story doing the rounds #7, just to add to waht u said, IS THAT THERE IS A SLUMP IN CRIME !!!! Bla bla bla. These SA pipo just do not get it … How can the thugs go stealing when it was free for all in the shanty townships. They were just scaring pipo with pangas and foreign pipo fled. Then they say there was no crime in the past two weeks.THERE WAS THE BIGGEST CRIME AGANIST HUMANITY.

  10. # 4 you are very right. You left one foolish SA company called Omnia Fertilizer. These SouthAfrican companies think they are immune to the zambian law. Close them or we all join in xenophobic attacks. I will be the first one to thro a stone. Balya pafula.

  11. My dear comrades, don’t pay attention to what we are being told by Mr. Mulongoti. He has taken us for a ride that we got no brains. Intelligence gathering can take place overtly or covertly. Now the truth must come out to judge Mr. Mulongoti wrong. Those that are at the borders please gather the statistics on people entering the country and keep us informed. For this one Mr. Mulongoti must keep quiet but concetrate on working out the logistics of how we are going to deal with the situation. We are not going to burry our heads in the sand but accept the situation and welcome our comrades.

  12. Papa J #4,Yes thats the guy that was set on fire.He was from Mozambique he’s name was Ernesto Alphabeto Nhamwavane 22years.He was a bricklayer who came to S.A looking for work.He was running away from guys with knives and pangas with his brother in law.The ‘thugs ‘caught up with him beat him & they poured petrol on him and set him on fire whiles the threw his blankets on him to make sure he died.Meanwhile his in law collapsed in a pool of blood & these guys thought he was already dead.In a daze he heard them say ‘Lenja ifile’,which means the dog is dead.

The in law is in Hospital recovering with a broken arm and wounds. He says he will never use that broken arm again.

  13. For the Red Cross to start talking like that, these chaps are already in the country.Zambias southern border is very long

  14. I salue the Nigerians for the stand the have taken.South Africans think the are the only country with foreigners.Zed ,Botswana are full of Zimbabweans but you will never see the stuff we seen in the last two weeks happening in Zed. The South Africans are busy siphoning money through out Africa, companies like Mtn has more business in the whole of Africa than they do in S.A.The were rumours going that the are sms going around in Maputo to attack vehicles with S.African number plate. The South African supporters are scared to travel to Nigeria this weekend for Africa/World cup game against Nigeria. The fear of being attacked their also.

  15. # 4 Papa J. If we freeze these assets it is the Nigerian economy that will shrink. Why are you asking us to do what the Zimbabweans did. Look at them now. That some stupid advice.

The demands of the Nigerian govt is laughbale. How many of those Nigerians were legal immigrants. I am in Lusaka now but dont ask me how I got my documents!

  16. #14 your posting is painfully touching. even mad dogs are not killed like that. they are killed in a respectable manner. what a scene!

  17. This is worrying coz we just might have 25,000 (or more) imigrants/asylum seekers comming in at once without government’s knowledge.

  18. he is being saved by a white dude whilst the other guy has his gun pointed towards the poor victim or thats also an extinguisher aswell

  19. #19 Tears rolled down my eyes when i read the whole story and saw the full pics of the guy set on fire. You right he did not deserve to die like that. How do you set some one alive on fire??
The chaps who did that were busy laughing when reporters and cops got on the scene.

  20. Guys the sekuru are heading for Zed, Mulongoti said this only to calm us. He knows he will have more questions than answers. Definately the Zimbos will enter as visitor and not refugees. Get ready to see the in Mandevu

  21. # 3. Brrrrr, I agree with you very much. Besides, a diplomatic refusal is indistiguishable from kindness.

  22. The gvt should make a haste decision to bring back the zambian affected families because the situation there may be very bad.

  23. # 18 it is the South African economy that will feel it. Why do you think Nigeria has the balls to stand up against RSA? Most South African Companies are thriving because of the African Market. If nigeria took that step and other countries followed belive me The Sputh African economy could come falling down like a ton of bricks. On the demands of the Nigerian govt, that is how a responsible govt acts.Your nationality comes first before anything else.To them it was nigerians affected not illegal immigrants.i wish our govt could act like that other than when you ask for assistance the first thing they ask is your status, legal or illegal

  24. Ola Nigeria , a responsible govt looks after its citizens whereever they are and regardless of their situation. You need to learn from the Americans they are so proud of their own the US govt can start a war over 1 citizen. Remember how world war 3 was almost started when 3 American soldiers were detained by China on suspicion of spying? You must be happy that even if we do anything to you now your govt will step in. So you must just enjoy our blog and be grateful to your Govt for having your back

  25. #18. OLA the Nigerian, are you telling us the whole of Nigeria lacks brains to set up such entities as Shoprite and the like? Are you telling me your govt would fail to find qualified Nigerians to run those micro companies? Mugabe gave those assets to people with no clue about running them. Do you think Nigeria is as devoid of the necessary skills as Zimbabwe is? Or its the corruption that you know will cause the failure of your govt to run those assets? I’m not Nigerian but I know your country is endowed with enough resources and skills to be a super economy. But most of you Nigerians would rather run away to other countries without reason than have your country organized.

  26. Let Govt begin an operation to clump down on all illegal imigrants and deport them just like those 60 Zimbo prostitutes. This will prevent an increase in crime.

  27. #18. OLA, be proud to be Nigerian. Your country is concerned about you whether you’re an illgal immigrant or not. I wish mine would do the same about me.

Your country would not suffer in any way if it freezed RSA’s assets. There are 101 world class businesses ready to come to Nigeria to fill the space if invited.

  28. ….Zambian people don’t pretend to be clever and know it all. We have been keeping refuges ever since i can remember and we have had no problems whatsoever as the UN and organizations alike have been taking care of the needs of refugees. Why today should we have a problem with Zimbabwean refuges coming into Zambia. To be honest with you guys I am beginning to see inhuman south Africans in you and that is a true but very sad thing…lets not forget where we are coming from!

  29. #7 They have no clue of what they are doing. Very soon there will be diseases outbreaks in these camps they have setup.Coz they are just saving face, there is no passion or compassion in those deeds. You will notice only whites are donating blankets, food and the like. With all the resources in the world, they cannot take care of 25000 refugees. They have to get help from UN.UN will help them with all the logistics etc , maybe even money. What a rainbow nation????

  30. Cont.d

Already the provincial govt is sayin they cannot be seen to be so caring to the refugees than the locals.Fearing the locals will hit these makeshift camps. They have already started addressing issues in the shanty townships, while refugees are getting diseases like cheast, skin infections and stomach bugs. What a people???

  31. You Zambians dont know us. I like the way you worship foreigners. It is everyone from the head of state, the father, the mother , the sister, the niece etc. You all seem to worship at the shrine of foreigness! I like the way you have taken to our nollywood rubbish. It is everywhere. You Zambians dont have standards nor iniative. Surely why cant you film your own rubbish!

By the way I would like some Zambians to partner me in Project 419 and 519. Please call 097 7 7663 91.

  32. # Hi Crazy_Zambian.

Zambia is very nice. But I am in a bit of problem you know. Two girls are claiming that they are pregnant with my cells. I have told them I am not responsible coz I had vasectomy long ago.

  33. I dont believe Mulongoti. He is just trying to make the public calm.Am sure those zimbos are already in Zed. But running to Zed or any other country will not solve their problems. Let them go back to Zim and vote that chap (mugabe) out.Big up Nigeria for that stance.Very few African governments are ready to stand up for their citizens.

  34. #36 Ola
Thats too bad (the pregnancy thing that is).

In the case of nollywood, we are quite new in the movie scene so we are still experimenting with it.

If you want to see some good Zambian made short films, there is stuff from Jouelwood Pictures.

    They are pretty good.

It’s good you’re liking Zambia. Most of the Nigerians i know say it’s a village so it’s good to hear something good for once.

  35. In the case of the Zimbo issue, i think we should accept these people regardless of weather they are coming legally or illegally.

It would be cruel to send them to there deaths in Zimbabwe or South Africa.

Remember, we where the only country to condemn Mugabe’s Zimbabwe.

  36. Also just wanted to add, it’ll be unrealistic for Zambia to ask for compensation from South Africa at the moment.

Zambia produces little if not any technology and we depend on South Africa for our Technology.

about 40% of our imports are from South Africa. Until we come up with companies to produce this technology or find an alternative, South Africa has got us by the balls because this technology is used in our companies.

  37. I got this from the post;

Simple Zambia, a nation with few resources incomparable to Angola’s oil and diamonds, DR Congo’s mineral wealth, South Africa’s economic power and mineral wealth, the once prosperous Zimbabwe. We took them in with open arms as they are our African brothers and sisters, and fed them with the few resources that we have ourselves.

    And we will continue ….

  38. # 34. Miyoba S.Africans are not thugs please. Okay, you seem to doubt our ability to look after disaster victims
Now if you watch debates in S. African parliament you see un paralleled fiscal discipline. It is because of this fiscal discipline that S. Africa is asking for external help before its own resources can be legally diverted to displaced people. Countries do this all the time. What our government needs to do in answer to Nigerian demand is to facilitate insurance companies to cover the people on their list (if they had insured their entities). As a younger man I had business dealings with some of these brothers of ours. Honesty was the first casualty. Still, I do not generalize to s

  39. AFTER THE FOREIGNORS HAVE LEFT RSA THOSE THUGS WILL ONCE AGAIN START KILLING. THIS TIME IT WILL BE EACH OTHER .

  40. The RSA Government has shown once more how inexperienced they are. These are young Governments who think Money is the answer to everything. They have failed to run the country and unfortunately I think even Jay Z might not be a solution for this country, maybe Aparthied again would!!! For the 25,000 zimbos I am not sure the red Cross has denied ever issuing a statement to that effect and I did not see the news item one of our colleagues has referred to here

  41. Dumi you again, You will have to convince the world that not only criminals but now XENOPHOBIC, Godd Luck. Read this;

“A Red Ant Security guard, 23, assigned to protect refugees at Johannesburg’s Jeppe police station, was arrested on Friday and charged with the attempted rape of a 13-year-old.”

Even in so called refugee camps, you still target vulnerable kids. AGGGG SHAME … Man.And for the record WHICH REFUGEES HAVE U LOOKED AFTER? You cryin for help to the world about 25000.With all the resources in the world.CRISIS … What CRISIS?

  42. African Govmts need to stand-up and challenges RSA. RSA has assumed African leadership on social, political and economy despite the fact that RSA was born yesterday. I like the Nigerian attitude – from Top leadership to a nigerian man on the street…they’re fighters. I remember seeing on RSA SABC TV a nigerian ‘drug dealer’ in Hilbrow demanding to be compensated by the RSA police for the confiscated drug police found in his possession. Claiming he spent money to buy the drugs. These Nigerians have steel balls no wonder Ola the nigerian can impregnant a girl even after being castrated.

  43. Dumi, You are actually doing a good job (A Compliment for the record) tryin to sell your country, My man.But as long as you live in denial, NO … You will not get any near to solutions. Those pipo in parly are just there coz they are paid. What solution has yet to come from there in the past two weeks? Zero except desloving the scorpions coz this will help the poor.

  44. #36 OLA, stop wasting people’s time. There’s nothing Nigerian about you. #39 Crazy Zedian, please stop wasting your wisdom on this imposter, with no grain of wisdom in him.

  45. #50 the 25,000 is nothing, when Zambia’s economy was at its lost 1998 we were hosting well over 300,000 refugees from all over the world, what is 25 pin, ket them come, after all if we are to be religious about it, its because of the hospitality we offer that we have continued enjoying peace, you reap what you sow, we plant peace why should we reap XENOPHOBIA because we have exposed our populations to leaving with different people as such no xenophobia unlike our young countries such as RSA.

  46. I honestly don’t see any reason why the Zimbabweans should come to Zambia. There country is not in a state of war nor do we have enough jobs to absorb both the locals and the extra influx of migrants. Zambia is still suffering from unemployment and underemployment.

Zimbabwe on the other hand has land that they grabbed from the white farmers. Let them stay there and start cultivating it. In the process, they can fix both the economic and political situation that they currently face.

And let’s not forget that Zimbabweans used to insult Zambians when we used to go and buy mazoe and other items that were lacking in our shops. (They used to say “Zembiens and their kwachas should go beck”)

  47. Where is the b**ch MACHETE,you should have repect for me I was almost your father, you fagging faggot, son of a dog

  48. Hi my dear Zambian friends. I hope you remember me. The great friend to a lot of people in UNIP, MMD and the big one yes Mwanawasa a good and big Lawyer who defended my integrite and honest.

I am at home in Bamako. Of course I will be coming to visit my many children in Kitwe and Ndola.
Greetings from Bamako my dear friends!

  49. we need rapists, peodophiles and more whores in zambia you only attract people who resemble you tefyo bashimwana(wechisushiwe together with who ever agrees with you),how can you explain a 37 yr old man snobbing a child walemwimina umwaiche atase hopeless case

  50. #51 You coward! You cant even tell me your real name and you dare call me fake! Have you ever heard of a fake Ola! I am the real Olatundji Bamiyake the great grandson of Oba Jaja Opobo in Rivers State. No one messes with me least of all someone without the decency to have a name. Come on man if you want to break kola with and drink palm wine with come out of that hole of yours and show me that you are a real man!

  51. these nigerians better not come and steal the little money we have with this new bank of theirs coming in

  52. Fellow countrymen. Whether there is smoke or no smoke, we have to welcome our brothers and sisters running away frm SA. Once we deny them entry into Zambia, then we lose all moral authority to criticise what’s happening in SA.

Our forefathers did not fight for independence only to see us begin to lose tht freedom by attacking one another. See, if we keep this up, then the real enemy will win.

History teaches us tht nothing is contant but change. Who knws in what position Zambia will be in in the future. We might be in a position tht requires of us to seek refuge frm next door. “Do unto others as might want others to do unto you”

  53. #52 please tell Dumisani from SA who is terrified with hosting 25000 refugees.I was just telling him how good and experinced we are with courtesy to refugees.

  54. What is annoying with south Africans is that a foreigner to the is one who is black and can not speak Zulu or Sotho. There are so many whites, chinese, indians, pakistanis etc,etc but they are never a target to them. It is high time South Africans educate themselves and use common sense. Most whites would never want to speak Zulu, Sotho or Venda but balck south africans are always used by these people against their fellow blacks. Please YOU WORK UP

  55. theres is a liar on this blog, as old as you are, you are not even ashamed babufi even the time amwimine he was a serious church goer, continue using those toma names you are very stupid together with your wife thats if she is blogging

  56. #61 true, You know what. God receives anyone , no matter what the hell you did, but he is merciful ,graciours and forgiving indeed on our lives, so why not help our neighbours. “Love Your Neighbour as You Love Yourself”. Remmeber you might need him/her in future.

  57. #52 I agree with you, its because of the hospitality that we offer to our neighbours that we have continued to enjoy peace and tranquility. Infact, thats why our Zedians brothers/sisters in SA were not affected by XENOPHOBIA (Almight God is protector). PLS LETS CONTINUED OUR ZEDIAN HOSPITALITY (mind you its in our blood) eventhough it is not appreciated by some neighbours.

  58. Can you tell the bloggers who you are talking about! Man b4 we conclude that you are the one who is psycho!

  59. @ ZAMTROOP..#54
    Are you frothing about me?…
Judging from your choice of words you must indeed be old enough to my father,my grandfather infact,i surely envy your kids and grand kids,

Mbuya your obsession with homofaggotry is a bit worryiny though,

Have you been bending over and taking it dry deep down your behind?.Could that be your of frustration, your behind has become so lose and it’s clearly affecting your thinking?

Next time plse use some vaseline Mbuya,it will spare you all the frustation you exhibit here,

Ambuya ZamT,if a word exchange is what you want please have some MACHENDE and come out with your original name, don’t keep swapping names, that’s cowardly Ambuya

  60. Antagonism to fellow human beings breeds hatred. Remember every human being on earth desires shelter, food and survival. These are what South Africans fought for and have forgetten that these are what their neighbours are looking for. After Zambia had restored her ties with Israel, Zambia has experienced blessings. We are highly regarded internationally because of our respect for other nationals and our distaste for war and love for peace. I have personally received unexpectedly because years later someone tells me I did this or that for them. Let us open our arms widely for them. One Zambia, One Nation, a loving and peaceful nation!

  61. “WELCOME TO ZAMBIA, THE LAND OF PEACE AND LOVE” we can use this as a marketing tool, bane those with high business acumen, instead of “zambia the real africa”

  62. Local Government Minister, Silvia Masebo, has banned smoking in public and smoking while blogging, so you pipo are smoking on this blog WATCHOUT!!!

  63. mwalanda fye bwino ninshi the people you preside over as a father, uncle, aunt grand father mwasuka shani imwe ba 78 if me who does not depend on you for livelihood can be treated like this by you, oh and I forget that some of you have no sense of humour except throwing your worthless weight around, mulekula guys.

  64. Miyoba, the negative things you post about SA are certainly a disgrace to a country that holds the natural leadership of Africa. On the other hand, the apocalyptic sentiments of Zambians towards Africa, I’m beginning to understand them as spite. It is in the regional and entire African interest to safe guard the existence of a country that leads in science, literature, art and sports. Because these are the hallmarks of human civilization. The trickle down effect of all these form SA forms the very hope of this continent towards its own respectability. We surely can manage the refugee situation so tragically created but this priority also rests on the countries from which displaced people

  65. come. This is why we applaud the govt for calling on international community to combat the tragedy. More so that it is understood that these people were not running away from war but from disorder and squalor. On principle not on emotions. The sooner we all analyze these things in a sober and progressive manner the better.

  66. Dumi I beg to differ on the issue of natural leadership. I might agree on the economic front, and SA like all the african countries before it, is a relatively new country less that 15 years as a republic, the fear now is that as you get older you will go through the same cycle as other african countries before you. Namibia is going throuhg the same challenges, Zimbabwe is even in worse condition that Zambia was at Zimbabwe’s age, so you have major challenges my friend. On natural leadership, you do not have the right human resources to provide leadership to Africa, we tried you on Congo, you failed, we tried you on Cote D Ivoire you failed, Kenya and now Zimbabwe so that is a wrong analysis.

  67. #73,its a spindrift on ya a## bi##h,ma words heavy on you like a penitentiary d##,till I blog no more,

  68. #18, DONT BOTHER US KNOWING HOW U GOT UR ZAMBIAN PASSPORT-PP, COZ WE KNOW. U VE A LOT OF MONEY N U BRIBED A CHAIN OF ZAMBIAN IMMIGRATION OFFICERS. RIGHT NOW, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF ZAMBIANS WHO CANT GET PPs COZ THEY JUST DONT VE MONEY 2 BRIBE THRU. IF U ALWAYS READ THIS BLOG U WOULD VE READ ABOUT A ZAMBIAN IN USA WHO APPLIED 4 HIS FAMILY’S PPs-INCLUDING HIMSELF 18 MONTHS AGO. THE POOR ZAMBIAN IS STILL WAITING 4 THE PPs. HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE. THESE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WILL SET ZAMBIA ON FIRE, TOO. CORRUPT GOVT AND THE CORRUPTING CHAPS SUCH AS YOU. ENJOY OUR COUNTRY FULL OF DOMICILE PIPO.

  69. #53 (Koshet), let those zimbos come to zambia. What are u talking about, UNEMPLOYMENT? Unemployment has ever been in zambia. Besides, they chose to come to zambia. anyone can choose where s/he wants to live, or is it survive. I bet u r not living in Z. If thats the case and u chose where u wanted to live, why shouldn’t zimbabweans do the same? Don’t bother pipo-zambia is a free country. I am only happy that u are in the minority of your school of thought. Ubwali bulakushupa sana????

  70. @ ZAMTROOP….

Are flip flopping already, can’t make up your mind to stay or quit?

Please fill free to stay and mingle Ambuya we are homophobic…

Ambuya for the sake of Afrika and Zambia,
am willing to keep our little exchange going….JUST TO CIVILISE YOU

Right now its time my swim Ambuya….happy reading

  71. #61 I am a Zambian who doesn’t like Zimbabweans and south africans. We helped them both and have never practically said thank you. We have learnt a lot from them and now we should be careful who we accept. say yes to Angolans, namibians Congoleses DR, Malawians, Mozambiquans, tanzanians, kenyas etc. Bar Zimbabwean, let them go face sekuru. Bar black south africans (but not whites, we need their technologies). I don’t trust nigerians-are too pride and criminals

  72. #65. Mind you these people have countries where they come from. Why can’t they go to their countries. We should not just accept things like that. Their countries are quite and then you want to receive them. They will end up taking your wives when they settle.

  73. Ola is right. Those Nigerian movies are horrible. I also wonder why so many people have gotten hooked on them. The sound is horrible (loud music playing while a conversation is going on), Most of them go up to three or four parts. Don’t they know how to conclude a story in 2 hours? I hate those things.

  74. It’s true #95. Nigerian movies are fake. They all about people shouting, mourning or crying, witchcraft or satanism. It’s like watching the same movie. Sound control as you noted is very poor. Sometimes it’s high pitched or low. Background music very loud. I don’t like them.

  75. “its better to die fighting, than to live on your knees..” i feel for all zimbos and any refugees really…however there is no excuse for not staying home to fight for what is right, PERIOD.

  76. “its better to die fighting on your feet, than to live on your knees..” i feel for all zimbos and any refugees really…however there is no excuse for not staying home to fight for what is right, PERIOD.

  77. No. 89 u level of intellect can be noted from u attempted analysis of issues. The fundamental question u should ask yourself is “what are 25,000 people coming to do in Zambia”? Zimbabwe is not at war and as such they might as well be hosted in Zimbabwe itself.

  78. Great people of Zambia, let us rejoice that Zimbabweans can think of coming to Zambia, a place they will once more call home, regardless of the numbers. We should take pride in this despite the hard way Zimbabweans treated us after attaining their independence. We should actually ask Mulongoti to shame South Africa by acknowledging that Zambia would not turn away people running away from brutality. Why dispute figures as if Zambia is in the wrong??? Mwe bantu, RSA is trying to detract the international attention on its barbaric behaviour. Let us show them that despite what they created for us-bombed infrastructure while we kept them as “Freedom fighters” we shall not demonize other people.
