C.K Mable, the company tasked to legalize the controversial land behind Garden House Motel on the Lusaka – Mumbwa road , has clarified that the price hike to legalize the plots has been necessitated by a robust exercise by the firm to put in place social amenities.
C.K Mable Chairman Elijah Kasonso says the firm has worked on the feeder roads and has put up a police post to boost security in the area.
Mr. Kasonso told ZANIS that the company is currently exerting its efforts to erect houses for police officers in a bid to ensure security for the benefit of the residents.
He explained that a colossal sum of money was also required for a Site Plan and satellite photograph of the 72 hectares piece of land.
Mr. Kasonso said all these undertakings are costly and is therefore surprised that some sections of society are misleading people that they will offer them land free of charge.
He said more than 2000 people have already committed themselves to follow the laid down procedure of legalizing the land in the area.
Mr. Kasonso has since appealed to all concerned residents not to be swayed by such elements promising free land but to follow the laid down procedure and secure their investments.

In zambia price hike is normal and wether people complain it won’t help, when are we going to have the price reduced,or when are we going to have our salaries increased,God forbid.
Kasonso, you are corrupt you grabed Land from poor Zambians who could not raise the stipulated exaggerated funds for purchase of Plots and sold them to rich people who bribed you and from your one room ram shackle you have now built a mansion at poor peoples expense. I wish the Govt. could look into this. You are now encroaching into other peoples Plots because you have been oiled heavily and the plot you were given seems not to be enough for you even if it is very big. When you were leaving in your small cabin you looked sickly but now you have put on alot of weight because of peoples money. Your friends were arrested for their corrupt practises, I don’t understand why you’ve been spared
