Namwala DC wakes up to a rude shock

Share

Namwala District Commissioner Eunice Nawa and Office of the President Staff today woke up to a rude shock when they found a coffin and a cross at the doors of the respective offices.

The coffin was placed against the door to the District Commissioner’s Office while the cross was found at the door of the Office of the President.

Police with the help of a security guard at the District Administration offices have since arrested a suspect.

Webby Mukonda, the security guard who was on duty at the time of the bizarre incident, narrated to ZANIS that he saw the suspect place the coffin and the cross at the office of the District Commissioner and Office of the President respectively at about 05:00 hours.

The suspect has been charged with conduct likely to breach the peace.

Under the Zambian laws, the Witchcraft Act in particular, the practice of witchcraft is forbidden. The Act makes it an offence to do anything which would entail having recourse to non-natural means to effect certain purposes. Further to accuse anyone of witchcraft, sorcery or some similar metaphysical enterprise is also an offence.

  1. #1 Hope
What is wrong with you, I thought you were a decent chap.
I am sure when you were a baby your mother had dropped you on the head. Grow up

  2. Is there no David on this blog to stone Golyati #3, azavuta. These coffin stories are becoming common nichani, pliz DC give the man his bags of fertilizer before your office disappears. I wonder if this man is even a real wizard.

  3. Abasungu nabena they believe in witchcraft. they even have a mutumwa church near where i live except they call it “spiritualist” centre and they “bukisha” as well and they call it consulting mediums. somebody also google “druids” to which the queen is the chief priestess. bonse nibaloyi.

  4. Witchcraft is just mental torture , if somebody really wanted to something done they would have done it with an AK47. Thats a damn good idea I think I will scare somebody like that one day I will catch a kazizi and tie a doll to it and throw it it someone’s yard and watch the reaction

  5. A country deeply rooted in ancient and archaic times is noticed by its deeds. Let’s wake up and be civilized, African Zambians!!

  6. Not guilty by plea of insanity ,take the fellow to chainama hospital Under RB`s pleasure order( H.E.P-His Excellency`s Pleasure)

  7. Give this guy Renaid to try this tricks on our national team so they can be number 1 on the Fifa and Faz ranking

  8. Individually we are probably all a bit superstitious. However, we need to educate our people in Zambia to realise that a coffin and a cross are just pieces of wood with no powers to do any harm. Dead bodies are harmless, except when they carry contagious diseases such as ebola. Top government officials should take the lead in leading our people out of the stone age that they are still stuck in.

  9. #13 you got me crying tears of laughter!! Boyz kwena mulasekeshya! I don’t even need to switch on my TV to watch recycled jokes by Jay Leno.
#12 you’re absolutely right, there is what is called “white magic” but is just as evil as “black magic”. I don’t believe in the power of witchcraft over believers myself, but I would really love to stick some pins into an RB doll one of these days…just to vent out some frustration!

  10. Fire the kamalonda, why didn’t the id*iot pounce on mushala when he saw him place the coffin & the cross at the respective offices? I thought the OP was well guarded in all provinces, shameful indeed. Hope you leaders from S. province will now start bettering the lives of people you represent who knows, you might find baboons ball*s in your shoes next time.

  11. #5 I am surprised Golyati is back. He embarassed himself by saying there are no phones which use power sometime this week.

    Thought he was gone forever.

  12. Witchcraft if used properly can have a positive side to it. Examples if u are looking for a job, u want to steal without being caught, sleeping with your dream girl etc are very good cases where witchcraft performs wonders. Try it rather than just condemning it imwe bakoswe.

  13. #27 uli ndoshi? go back to school and be qualified so that you can get all you need in life not witchcraft.ukaponapofye mu mulu,we mbwa we.

  14. The guy isnt a witch at all, he is just up to something- just make him speak. Da poor guy played it all wrongly in a bid to ask 4 relief food. Change is very cardinal in life.

  15. Hogwash bane, Witchcraft whetehr mentioned in the Bible or Dictionary is so secretive that its benefits are can not even be comprehended. I am one who will stand and challenge anybody to prove to me that it indeed is real. If it was, I am sure by now with our technological advancements would have been version 10. It still is in draft form – what nonsense!

  16. Witchcraft is real. Human beings have powers beyond what the naked eye can see. People who use witchcraft just tap into an energy source that is there but can not be seen or used by the un-initiated. However, this energy can be used negatively or positively depending on the situation. It is just a shame that Africans have failed to utilise this super natural power. Instead we have choosen to abandon generation upon generation of priceless knowledge for other sciences that only limit out capability to think and expand our mental capabilities. There is nothing as powerful as the mind.

  17. #32 you read too many books by Stephen King or watch too much X-Factor. Don’t believe the hype. The Japanese also once believed that they could win their wars with martial arts (Ninjas, Samurai) until the atomic bomb brought them down to the surface of reality.

  18. there is alot of witchcraft and satanism in zambia and it growing at a faster pace.It is as a result of lack of employment and people want to use short cuts to get rich instead of working hard to achieve their goals.
