One Papa Mathews Kamwanshi – Congolese but that time playing for Kabwe warriors & zambia scored and we won. This time again I think we shall win without the coach to shame him.     ZAMBIA coach Herve Renard is reported to have resigned.

    Renard yesterday failed to accompany the national team to Pretoria for tonight’s international friendly against South Africa for unexplained reasons.

    Some Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) officials confirmed that Renard, disenchanted by poor preparations, has resigned.

    He is also said to have made the decision following uncertainties surrounding his salary following the withdrawal of Konkola Copper Mines from paying his wages.

    He is reported to be heading to Oman.

79. If what is being reported is true, the coach did not want the senior players to go for trials in Europe. This guy wants to improve his CV by denying the players a chance to improve their lives. No, no. We the older Zambian ruined our careers by accepting poor salaries in the name of being patriotic while expatriates got huge salaries and improved their CVs. This must never be repeated. From now onwards, the mantra should be: If I am doing well, professionally, then the whole Country is doing well. Go for it guys. Football is just football.

82. Look Mr Renard has to understand there is no way any progressive African football association can refuse its youngsters to go for trials in Europe. That is progress for the national team. He shouldn’t be so shortsighted. Players in professional leagues in Europe are what make national teams like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana to shine. When Zaire Leopards had 300 players in Europe they qualified for the World Cup and won the Africa Cup. So if five players leave for Europe you bloggers should celebrate instead of blaming Kalusha for having a vision. And Renard should just try out potential new players to fill the gap. This is not even a FIFA game but a practice match so why raise hullabaloo?

83. Yes allowing the Players to leave for trials is good. But not always in Kangaroo leagues. There is something wrong with our agents or exited soccer players eager to land in to Europe. As for the coach reisgning, the other reason is poor planning and forcing him to take sons of execuitve members as national team material when fit for school football or inter komboni social football.
