Stay Open for a New Thing

Today’s Scripture

“Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19, AMP).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

If we are going to be all that God created us to be, we have to be open to change. Just because something worked five years ago doesn´t mean it´s still going to work today. We can´t get so set in our ways that we won´t try anything new. Many people today have lost their enthusiasm, or there´s no freshness in their life because every time an opportunity comes for change, for promotion, for increase, they shrink back because they´re not used to it. They don´t realize that´s what´s keeping them from going to the next level.

One thing I´ve noticed about successful people is that they know how to change with the times. They don´t get stuck in a rut doing the same thing, the same way, year after year. They´re constantly evaluating where they are and what they´re doing. They make adjustments so they can improve.

Decide today to stay open for the new thing God wants to do in your life. Remember, He´s promised to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Look for the new thing so that you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, search my heart today. Remove any attitudes or thought patterns that would keep me from Your best. I will stay open to the new things You have in store for me. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

  3. “Behold, I am doing a new thing! (Isaiah 43:19, AMP).

PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda yesterday said Southern African leaders are still cautious at the tactic and speed with which the proposed United States of Africa (USA) government is to be implemented. Addressing journalists at the Lusaka International Airport shortly before departure for the African Union (AU) heads of states summit in Addis Ababa, President Banda said Southern African leaders normally held one position on issues pertaining to the continent.

  4. “Behold, I am doing a new thing! (Isaiah 43:19, AMP).

“We belong to SADC region and usually on issues pertaining to the whole of Africa, we the people belonging to SADC normally consult and when we take a position, that is the position… and you know our position has been that we support very much the idea of a union government,” President Banda said. “The difference maybe is the tactic, the speed at which it must be implemented. But the consultation will be completed when I go there obviously, because everybody will be there.”

He was responding to a question on how far he had consulted over the proposed formation of a united African government following his recent trip to Libya, whose leader Colonel Muammar Gadaffi is a strong proponent. Mwanawasa said countries in the SADC region were not against the idea but that there was still need to strengthen the regional blocs.

  8. Praise the Lord, God loves his people wherever they are. Lets continue praying for our country and families to be stronger. God bless us all. Amen

  9. This is a very good message and profoundly topical in our times.
May The Lord give us the strength to embrace the new times. Yes we can!

  10. God’s word is a code. If we don’t interpret it properly, it won’t serve us well. Beware of false prophets whose aim is power disguised as help.

  11. Musi
The bible is not a code to interpret it’s a book to read and obey. The idea of a code that can only be interpreted by elders is a lie that the pharasee’s created. This lie was created for them to read and wrongly put their own opinions and treat them as if they are from the bible.

    2 Peter 20
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,[b] 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God[c] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit

The same interpreting of the bible is why a lot of people are lost and don’t even understand the bible, because they listen to what their pastor thinks the bible is saying

  12. Our times are full of inventions and we should not run away from change, Change is inevitable……God Bless us all, including Zambians leaders who resist change…

  13. #12 You are in a foreign land and yet you want to comment on people who want to bring truth to those who will embrace it. Pls get down and read you bible and see how far and wide the patriachs, propehts and apostles of Jesus had to go to preach the good news…I hope you are not the chap that has been going round telling people in Zed that you have your own church in Uk and that you are bishop, and yet all you do is download pints in east london.

  14. Muliz

There ain’t nothing sinful about pints. What’s wrong is to bear wrong attitudes in the heart. However, drunkards shall not inherit the kingdom of God when Jesus comes back to give it to us. So, when you drink ensure that you take only that one pint and that’s it. More than that may lead you to the kind of drunkeness that the Bible warns leads to exclusion from the kingdom of God.

  15. Musi

There is nothing difficult about the scriptures, they are very clear!

The books you see where ‘penned’ down by guys who where carpenters and fishermen…!

The whole thing of the Bible having some hidden codes is all hogwash! The quicker you accept this, the better it will be for you, and everyone!
