Don’t be temperamental, RB advised

Chief Mwanachingwala of Mazabuka has advised President Rupiah Banda to avoid being temperamental.

Chief Mwanachingwala urged Mr Banda not to be temperamental because doing so would make him lose focus on taking development to the people.

The Chief has also urged the Opposition to offer constructive criticism to government if Zambians were to benefit from government developmental programmes.

” Some MMD and Opposition officials were issuing statements to provoke the President and I can only advise him not to lose temper because the statements are meant to make him to answer back and lose concentration on national development,” said Chief Mwanachingwala.

The Chief told ZANIS in Mazabuka today.

He said it is sad to note that instead of engaging government in finding solutions to the financial global crunch, the opposition had failed to provide answers to the problems confronting the nation.

He urged President Banda to be careful with some opposition party leaders and MMD’s officials whom he said only want to see his down fall.

Chief Mwanachingwala said President Banda has offered to improve the economy hence the need for Zambians to support his leadership.

Meanwhile, Chief Mwanachingwala has commended Patriotic Leader, Michael Sata for withdrawing the Presidential Petition in the Lusaka high court.

The Chief said the withdraw will help the country move forward.

    • RB take heed the words of wisdom from your fellow contemporary, I am sure due to age he forgot to commend you on your recent meeting with UPND officials .

  1. This is why chiefs should not be involved in politics. So that they can operate freely and speak out like Chief Mwanachingwala of Mazabuka has done. In this case RB will not be thinking of expelling the chief from MMD! He just does not belong to any party. Good advice Chief.

  2. On “He said it is sad to note that instead of engaging government in finding solutions to the financial global crunch, the opposition had failed to provide answers to the problems confronting the nation”, I believe that the Chief is lost here. Has the Chief Mwanchingwala heard about UPND president HH’s suggestions about reducing Cabinet and increasing Agriculture and Tourism Ministeries’ funding on the National Budget.

While the Chief is right on President RB Banda to take an easy course on dealing with his opponents within the MMD, the Chief must make sure he is updated with news so as to avoid saying things which are complete out of touch with reality.
All the best to you all.

  3. The Chief is spot on.In power politics, there will always be many armchair criticswith a media frenzie but practically of no relevancy or coherence in the real world of public office management.Seat them down as you have done with HH or challenge some of them to share their vision of managing a “virtual” Country under these times, you only learn how idealistic empty heads they are.President Mwanawasa use to call them “good for nothings”.Stay focused and let the political machinists do muckracking politics for the administration. They are not savvy or worth the machination.

  4. Read a Chanda C’s article on some thread here. The chap is incoherently childish, irrational, and unresearched poorly schooled smith-wording coached cadre to justify prosecutable impunity. Development is not separable from corrective measures against acts of economic sabotage. Is not only driven on preventative and traceability measures but correctiveness too that foster investment confidence. How can an administration overlook acts of economic sabotage when it’s the custodian of national interest? Aren’t ZRA, NAPSA, ZSIC, ZDB AND NAC all subjected to bleeding at the hands of racketeering and ratcheting state institutions under Government jurisdictions?
