  1. Great Effort Zambia now let us go and face the Pharohs please lets show a deciplined and solid team we must be prepared to play 100 minutes and not 90

    • hey man, its just Pirates Reserve. How could you weigh your strength with such a team. I bet a selection of Lsk Kaponyas would yield the same result. they stand no chance with them pharaos.

    • support your team, it was friendly with a reserve side yes, but a good result always matters. if we’d lost you’ll be the first people saying we are going to lose to Egypt..SHAME ON YOU!!!

    • TOKO….i think the attitude you have is not a very good one..I believe the best we can do is to support this guys regardless of where they have prepared from or whom they have played with during their preparations….Its not always good to have such an attitude and i wonder where you come from…The best we can do is to rally behind these guys and give them the moral support they need and with an attitude like yours! we wont develop this game..Your attitude is what we call”BAD MANNERS”…Get real my freind and act wisely…GO ZAMBIA…We are right behind you.Good luck

  2. Not serious! how do you play a Pirates RESERVE side as preparation to face Egypt? when are we going to be serious in Zambia. Wining football is not by chance, its by hard work and serious investment! Am not putting my money on you….

    • You could be right man! Zambia! whats wrong with our country kanshi????? Politics NOT serious, Football, NOT serious, Development, NOT serious, whats wrong with this Zambezi land you people??????

    • Hey!!!!!! I have just commented on your freinds view..I believe the best we can do is to support this guys regardless of where they have prepared from or whom they have played with during their training…Yoou are the same people celebrating in the streets when things are okey..Learn to appreciate your team and just encourage them to work etra hard…Whats wrong with you people. If that was the best preparation they could do,then be it.You wanted them to play Brazil or England?..That extra costs and that money could be used on other things with this economic melt down and disasters..Please sit down and reason before commenting on these issues…Learn to support your team..Go Zambia.

  3. Aboutrika, Zaki and Mido? You guys must be crazy, this is not Botswana we are facing, ba ka tunyela! Peoblem with our boys is that they become in awe of these guys during the game, ati wenze waona chi Zaki paja?

  4. There is no good reason to play a high profile friendly barely 3 days before a crucial game ,this only gives a coach a hint on adptability of players to different formations .This was not used to improve the physical and mental strength of the squad but rather gauge the tactical despline in a team and work out notable mistakes. Bloggers from Zambianfootball.net understands the rational of playing such friendlies and have not possed suspicious questions on the seriousness of the squad, because they are soccer fans . If the squad was camped in Zed ,the same thing would have happened, they would play under 20 or KCM team.Let us not just condemn without understanding the ethics of soccer

    • You are the only one who has said a sensible thing. The same pipo that are in the fore front critising politics, football and development in our country have not contributed anything watsoever to make a difference. Don’t just tallk, contribute positively. It takes the whole village to raise a boy so shame on all loud mouths without actions.

    • At long last there’s a blogger who understands soccer. Egypt are current African Champions, but remember we are the only team which was not beaten by them at the last Championship, so we may lose, but expect a good tactical game.

    • Yah man,,,,,you are right, the best we can do is to support these lads…..Anything is possible.Good comment and if you were near,i would even buy your fish…Cheers..Go Zambia Go..Right behind you

  5. Poor preparation. How do prepare to fight and challenge Mike Tyson by fighting/ sparing with Esther Phiri?

  6. Herv is doing quiet well. I like his tactical abilities. He knows that we may not have the names thats why he is building a team and not names like Tana. We may suprise these Pharaos. Go Zambia…zampeople have your back

  7. Psychologically its important to play such matches in order to build confidence especially in front of goal. At this stage, with unavailability of european based players its not worth playing a high profile friendly. Egypt hasn’t played a friendly this month either, they played in January against Kenya and February against Ghana.

  8. U ask me sunday evening I have a strong conviction this ZEDIAN TEAM will come out smiling

    • I have the same feeling but lets wait and see. our boys tend to spring surprises when everyone writes them off. It Happened against Bafana Bafana…3-1 to Zed….and against Cote d’ivoire….a 3 nil bashing in their own backyard. The pressure here is on the pharaohs. I guess the Coach was using this game just to build cohesion in the team….so don’t fret much about the kind of opposition offered by the Pirates reserve.

  9. This is all that Kalu and his guru can manage to prepare the Team against the Pharoah of Egipito. Reserve team to play against our national this is very shameful, why didn’t they play against the senior team imwe bantu pulizi napapata. Balitusula ichakuti batupela bakatamba ba mupila ebo baeba abati teyeni nabo. Long way to go.

  10. You are going to fight Mike Tyson, you keep training and sparring with Esther Phiri! A foolish student crams, studies Grade 2 science when preparing for a Grade 9 science test! Thats a lot of bull…

  11. may be this is the game i dreamed in that dream zambia wired togo 3-0 and it was on a sunday meaning zambia is going to win egypt 3-0 or vice versa but hey we want to suprise the pharaos. what a preparation with reserves awe ba kalu balebako serious mwee

  12. A reserve side not good enough for preparation for the game of this magnitude pliz be serious.

  13. Whatever the case, the result has a good psycological impact on the team. You cant play a team like Morrocco just a few days before a high profile match. Good luck boys!!

  14. How do you expect them to play a very physical game 3days before such a big game.Good work HR,we behind you.Go Zambia Go.

    • Awe! Baby C naiwe. You want them to get injured? Siuwona ati HH anadwala malaria just thinking of the Egypt game?

    • Baby C it is common practice all over the world to play an inferior team before a major match. You dont play a tough team you may end up with injuries and the team maybe demoralised if they lose.

  15. Guys bola ni 90m,why are we critising about our preparation before we even get results,I believe FAZ has done everything there capacity to prepare the team and the team has put in there all to prepare.Winning 6-0 against a reserve pirates in not that significant but the fact that the boys are scoring is a plus just before we met egpt.I am very optimitic that the boys may display the same charater that they showed in the first round of the chan, playing egpt at home is going to be tough but let us wait see we migth just steal a one all draw or even win one zero

    • Scoring or not scoring? They should have managed to put in at least 10 goals. its like a University proffesor boasting after scoring 75% in a G7 EXAM. You are the guys that keep justifying the shaddy work by kalu and his french trainers.

  16. Bane, this is good, because we know that the team is playing as team and not as individuals, when zambia qualified to the AFCON in 1993 (some of you were mayor spectatoes) they played zambia B, nkana, power etc as preparation for the AFCON 1994, guess what happened there Finalist, so football is football, Mbesuma used to play for portsmouth reserve side but he was our main top man here, what are you talking about, 6-0 is good because it simply shows that the opposition was not strong and our team was well coordinated.

  17. A lot of you are not soccer fans, they are warming up and trying to put into practice, they system, they will use. How do you expect them to play a serious game now? This will led to knocks and injuries.

  18. Why is Kalu being blamed for the preparatory game? Is he supposed to organize the friendlies by himself with his funds? The issue is, most of you just gramble about issues you dont and probably will never comprehend. In today’s football, if you invited England to play a friendly with you then you pay them allowances and takecare of all the logistics. Does FAZ have such resources to pay other countries FAs when they cant even pay themselves? Shut up and wait for Sunday then you can open your mouth if we loose. If we win you will have to shut it more and wait for a time we’ll loose a game since that is your lifetime wish!

  19. The chances are more when you are playing a more serious game. The preps are fine. The only thing we must do is play games on FIFA days like 1 April, is a FIFA day.

  20. Lets just hope the boys are confident enough to rise to the occasion otherwise Cairo is a very intimidating place

  21. Great motivation and good work; Please, teach the Pharaohs how to play footbal although go there with respect for them as they have upset us seriously in the past.

  22. I WISH OUR TEAM ALL THE BEST…I KNOW WE CAN DO IT..AND WHAT EACH AND EVERY GOOD ZAMBIAN SHOULD DO IS TO GIVE THESE GUYS THE MORAL SUPPORT THEY NEED UNLIKE CONDEMNING THEIR PREPARATIONS…THIS COULD HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT ON OUR TEAM..SO LETS RALLY BEHIND THEM..THEY CAN DO IT GUYS..THEY CAN.FOOTBALL HAS CHANGED ANYONE CAN WIN WITHIN THE 90MINS..ZAMBIA CAN DO IT……ALL THE BEST GUYS…CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS
