First Lady Thandiwe Banda has challenged Zambians to appreciate and acknowledge positive developments that the health sector was scoring in the country.

ZANIS Kitwe reports that Mrs. Banda said despite the many challenges that the health sector was facing, a lot of positive strides had been recorded in the growth and delivery of quality health care services to the public.

Mrs. Banda, who was speaking at the Zambia National Service (ZNS) after winding up her three day tour of health facilities in Kitwe yesterday, said it was sad that people were always negative when talking about the health sector.
She however observed that Kitwe was facing a challenge of health facilities and has since called on Zambians and cooperating partners to help improve these facilities.

”A country cannot be productive, let alone have a promising future if its citizens have ill-health,” she said.

Mrs. Banda has since commended all health workers at health institutions she visited for being committed to their work despite having many challenges.

Meanwhile, the First Lady, Thandiwe Banda, has donated assorted foodstuffs, beddings and kitchen utensils to Mapalo Vineyard Christian Community School in Ndola.

Speaking when she made the donations in Ndola today, Mrs Banda said although the donation was small, it would help mitigate the sufferings of the vulnerable children at the school.

The donated items include blankets, plates, pillows, footballs and cakes among others.

And speaking at the same occasion, Ndola District Commissioner, Moses Mumba, said the donated items will greatly help improve the welfare of children at the school.

Mr Mumba also commended the church for working with government in providing education to the vulnerable children in society.

He appealed to other churchs and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to emulate the First Lady’s gesture.

And Mapalo Vineyard Community School teacher, Lewis Musonda, said lack of the basic educational materials and infrastructure hinder children from realizing their maximum potential in education.

Mr Musonda said the school faces a lot of challenges in providing quality education to the vulnerable children. He cited challenges such as inadequate classroom blocks, lack of desks and text books.

He also cited difficulties in sourcing money for the teachers’ salaries which usually comes from contributions from the church.

Mr Musonda appealed to government, NGOs and the civil society to help the school with the needed learning materials such as books and in raising the teachers’ salaries so that the orphaned children at the school can receive decent education.

The school, which is run by the Seeds of Hope International in Partnership with Mapalo Vineyard Christian Fellowship, has 93 girls and 84 boys.

  1. Please, woman!!!!!!!, don’t get us “started” on this one. What are you talking about. Why is your husband still sending people to South Africa? Zambians including our founding father KK appreciate our health sector. That is where we always go when we need medical attention. The people who don’t appreciate the heath sector is your husband and MMD, so please go preach that sermon to your husband’s cabinet and his MMD cadres

  2. What positive developments? Please let us know and be objective so that we should appreciate wher it is due.

  3. May be thights could be okey in urban areas but what of in the rural areas bana Banda? People do not have access to health facilities. Actually government is suppossed to be doing more and we will not stop demanding for basic rights to be met by government. All citizens have a right to quality heath care.

  4. First Lady Thandiwe Banda, is this what your husband told you to say , after making the small donation?
Please do not insultthe pipos inteligence. keep your mouth zipped.

  5. No5 class is some thing you are etiher born with or not, you can even buy it , but it shows. this woman can afford anyhting she wants, but still looks like she is going to the market to buy kalambula and bondwe. let her take a look at Mrs O, i mean Mrs Obama, she was born with class.

  6. What positive development is thandie talking about? There are better things to do out there than shamelessly yapping about things she doents clearly understand. Look at U.T.H…. what is there to brag about Zambia’s biggest hospital? Thats an insult thandie! shame on you!

  7. Baby C ( I agree with you dear, the UTH looks like a war zone, how do you expect pipo to getwell being treated in such a place.) The only way things can improve, is by stopping all the ministers from going to SA for treatment, is like the pipo who voted for them are socound class citizens.
Pipo should not vote for any MP who goes toi SA for treatment., then will they imporove the hospitals in zambia.

  8. Hi Baby C, uli shani? A first lady is advised to be active in the media, so you might not always agree with whatever she says. Some people don’t like her style either but I personally feel we would do better as Zambians to embrace her.

  9. Some people on this site have such loathe and hate for the first lady, I wonder why? I think people on this site are so negative, all you spend doing here is talk Zambia and it’s leadership down. Shame on you. Zambia is making progress, read the story about donors yesterday. Run away inflation has been tamed and this great Country has great days ahead of it. Ask people working at UTH, they will tell you about the changes that are taking place. Please hi a refresh button on your brain and eyes. Things are happening in Zambia, especially with the monetary decentralization to be in effect end of this year. Service delivery will improve. Even our football fortunes are turning. All under RB

  10. Well said Nine Chale. All people have is criticism, but no alternatives. To the ladies who keep taking bites at the First Lady I say, envy is such an ugly thing. Don’t let it engulf you.

  11. MMD Chief Bootlicker , how much did RB pay you ? you sound like someone on his payroll. Are we talking about the same Zed hear or you are leaving in kuku land. If things are so good in Zed, why are the leaders still going to SA for treatment? You need to have your brain checked, I hope you have not being swimming a lot lately. See you Doc. ASAP.

  12. Nine Chale , Superman and MMD Chief Bootlicker , are you guys on RBs payroll.? You are so blinded by what these pipo are doing, as for the Thandiwe, she needs a make over pronto, Please guys stop being ama yes bwana all the time, it does not help.

  13. ba honey, well said! the first lady needs a major make over! I will never stop saying that until she improve on her looks!

  14. For MMD Government to continue sending their honourables to SA for treatment just means that there is no positive development in the Zambian Health Sector. When KK was presido, he had a special ward in UTH’s G – Block. At least he needed that for security purposes too but he was always treated here in Zed. Inclusive his ministers. What is Thandi telling us now?

  15. Baby C and all you other ladies full of criticism, put up pics of yourselves so we can see just how much better looking you are than the First Lady. Mu yopa tinga zibe ati ndimwe ma shomeka?

  16. On “ZANIS Kitwe reports that Mrs. Banda said despite the many challenges that the health sector was facing, a lot of positive strides had been recorded in the growth and delivery of quality health care services to the public”, while this makes some some but what health care services is she referring to. Is there medical insurance for the vulnerable Zambian people now allowing them to access health centres especially those owned by GRZ?

On “Meanwhile, the First Lady, Thandiwe Banda, has donated assorted foodstuffs, beddings and kitchen utensils to Mapalo Vineyard Christian Community School in Ndola”, where did she get the money from for this? I thoguht she said no organisation will be…

  17. Ba Bootlicker, i really dont know how to start, but really, there are times i appreciate your comments. Today, however, is not one of those times. You see, thats the problem when speeches are written for you. You simply read out anything even if its crap or not. The Health sector is nothing worth talking about baba. Have you travelled widely in this country for you to say such things? For once i would advise you to put aside your political affiliation and see things for what they are. Health sector in Zed is a disaster, period! Your ministers are still travelling to morningside for simple ailments like coughs and STIs. Is that what you term ‘improvements’? Lets be serious.

  18. As for the first Lady, all i can say is that she can do better than that! She is stubborn, it seems. First lady monga ayenda kugula kalembula!

  19. 18 continued.
… be set up by her as a First Lady. Funny enough, it appears she has a virtual organisation now and this is how she can manage to donate things. Please, avoid treating us Zambians as children who do not think carefully on national matters.

Also, I demand that a TRIBUNAL be set to help us know where she is getting the finances to manage to give such donations. Or let it clarified whether she is also a GRZ employee who has a certain pay from GRZ coffers just for being a wife to a sitting President of Zambia.

Let real honest take effect in the way we do our politics is Zambia so that Zambian people who vote can have a clear picture of who is doing what for them and…

  20. # 9, Ba Honey, UTH is is a massive infrastructure. The management have tried to keep that place very sane given the meagre funding that comes through. I believe that Zambia has some of the best doctors around and given the equipment, medicines etc, UTH would be the place to talk about. I must say you have a very very wrong picture about UTH going by the War Zone comments. One of these days when you come home, take time to take rounds in the UTH, let the PRA take you round and my dear you will be amazed at what you will discover. You will get the true picture of what you least expected and knew about. UTH personnel in the name of the maids, cleaners work endlessly in shifts keeping clea

  21. #17 Superman, for one to identify that the other shud do a make over it simply implies that the person talking abt the others make over is beta than the one being talked abt.Tulibasabula even though we r gud lookin compared to T.B. Anyway good looks are in born so matter how much money she has, tafyabamo mu blood ukumoneka bwino

  22. Super man….. firstly i can never envy some one who is married to an old, old man! secondly…. are you sure you want to see just how pretty i look? am afraid you will spend the whole day on Lt just looking at my pic!!!!!

  23. Hey men, Ba Honey, Baby C and others, I only ask you to respect our First Lady, that’s all!
Please! I’m not on RB’s payroll, I just want to support our First Lady as she plays her role. Anything wrong with that?

  24. Nine Chale, when i talk about thandie’s looks, it doenst mean i dont respect her…..If we dont tell how to dress, who will? infact we are doing her a great favour!

  25. Baby C and Ba Honey, chapwa ba 1st Lady tabakachinjepo, make up kwati ni Duniya or Temwani abalebashingaula.. Girls,LT is MMD we risk being banned frm posting

  26. #31 – Zoe! you are right! ba ruling party bafula pa Lt,! na Nine Chale sure! ma! wonders shall ll’ never end!

  27. Your fellow politicians wouldn’t be flying out to other countries if they was anything to be appreciated in the health sector home. These politicians are becoming more and more annoying by second….sis man!

  28. This first lady doesnt even understand what she is talking about. What improvements in the health sector is she talking about?Baby C sweet i have missed you we! How are you?

  29. From her name (Thandiwe) she must be an offspring of Zimbabwean parents (Definitely not South African). Somebody please inform us where the current Zambian First lady originates from and what tribe she is?

  30. Baby C, Zoe & others, I rest my case. I am going on a timeout until very late this evening.
Enjoy the rest of the day with LT, I love you all, especially you Baby C and you know it ; )))

  31. Criticism helps someone grow and do better. If T.B doesnt put this criticism from female bloggers regarding her make over into practise, then ninshifye shes a stubborn villager…..I rest my case

  32. Nine Chale…..later papa! but dont defect to the ruling party please! love you too! say hi to my nephew.—–sweet chubbs!!

  33. Amake Temwani! Yayi sure, Kavalidwe mu sinthe! Amama newo! We will not stop talking until musintheko. Amake Temwani! Njazi, kaleza kanin’gambe, napali Temwani. At a gathering of First Ladies, You will be mistaken for Temwani’s maid! Njazi.

  34. I like this blog platform. Thanks LT. I now know how grumpy Zambians are. Interesting observations made here too on the first lady and her remarks. I now appreciate the silent demeanor our very first first lady had. Keeping quiet and letting the husband president do his work.

  35. And by the way does anyone know what the Zimbabwean first lady has said this week? Or the South African one? or the Botswana one.. People that live in these countries should tell us if this is the norm so as maybe I can make sense of this hooblah…

  36. 35, KA’DOYO, the first lady if from Eastern province of Zambia. Her tribe is not important here, but what all need to know is that her name is very Zambian?

With due respect, where you yourself come from in Zambia as in your origin, if you are Zambian? Where did you grow up from? How many Zambian provinces have you visited and/or stayed in in your whole life time?

Someone said in Bemba language, “umwana ushi enda atasha nina” and I believe you may be in this a category.

  37. Maybe it is a lack of class-but I would disagree with that.Consider Madam Vera Tembo Chiluba wa mu-something.She transformed from a maid looking housewife to Mrs Buckett. Remember how she used to pout in front of the camera, like her lips have just been given a shot of botox lol. So if the likes of Vera could do it why not the young Thandiwe? Maybe she just have bad facial skin and a lack of style.Or like someone says she is trying to catch up with ba mudala’s old age,we don’t know.

  38. Amake Temwani, Yayi ndithu. Just go ku State House and enjoy the scenary and the sunshine. Kuwonekela wonekela mu public yayi amake Temwani! Nkazikikani pulizi. Mubuda ngako kavalidwe,Njazi. Mwamvwa banthu kulabilapo ka.

  39. We always pass our appreciation were its due imwe. If Thandi looked gud, we would always give her a thumbs up and if my relatives were able to go to the hospital without a rediculous slap for a bill excluding medicine that is…we would say the health sector is doing fine. Right now, there is nothing happening, went to a clinic in zed, they couldnt even give my child baby panado, ati break the big tablet and disolve it.., no doctor, no medicine, no proper seats, no lab…so what you talking about madam????

And MR SUPERMAN, we are not pretty, good looking in make up.nje..we are BEAUTIFULLL well atleast i know i am!

  40. Everything has been well-summed up by blogger #1 on this thread…maybe we should wait and see what will happen when Thandiwe gets sick…i hope to visit her in UTH if she goes there..and if not she will need to be reminded about this statement…people should not just make statements if they are not able to abide by them.

  41. When did RB acquire his young wife?By last year he was still married to a Hope.Did he have more than 1 wife or what?

  42. Baby C, naa, on the pics thread, check it out.. How you doing.. Whats this the madaam is saying sure. Does she think we just like yapping even when things are aight…..

  43. We are not bashing the first lady , this is positive cristicism, she needs to look presentable. Look at her face,,,she looks as though nabasuba amatipa pamenso…thats not the image of the first lady of Zambia that we would like to see.

It’s not envy…envy for what…she is a public figure and therefore she needs to polish up her looks. Ba first lady sambeniko naimwe, you have been in state house for 5 months now.

  44. Hola!, wenye yayi! Who told you? RB has been married to Amake Temwani for the past five years now. Where are you getting your facts from?

  45. I personally blame all you ladies on this blog for not offering Amake Temwani advice on what she should and should not wear, her hair styles and postures. Yet you all know she has only been in State House foe only five months now! Even a magician cant change overnight. Athandizeniko Amake Temwani, pulizi. kalanga ine!!!

  46. Miss daisy…I ve checked it out! mama! ala bwafya! mukanwa ukusasa! You expect such from him everytine he shows up!!shhhhhe!!!

  47. before i even read this story i knew i would see negative comments. Thats all Zedians ever do. Even if you have a point, the way its put across. ladies and gentlement we have to tolerate each other and show humility. There are positive strides being made although they might not necessarily outweigh the short commings. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. And so what if she doesnot have class and class in what terms. The type of comments here certianly show no class at all. U need to change your attitudes and start thinking positively of where you come from instaed of ma rubish yamene mu ma lemba

  48. Ba Moze what’s Wenye yahi?Kindly traslate that into the Queen’s language so I can understand. On RB’s facts Wikipedia still had the former wife as his.

  49. Ba moze, we ve tried on several occasions… ba T.B tabomfwa! we introduced to her mac powder, then she said yalichipa, so we switched her to bobby brown powder, kanshi babelela
    A – face

  50. Ba Moze,u mean even wen she was at government house she never used to attend public gatherings and see how the female Ministers and guests dress? The likes of Sylvia Masebo,Tribunal Siliya…….Fashion is not in born,we jus copy…Bali kosafye umutwe bamayo. As Baby C said, she wants to catch up wth her hubbys age……..Konkamo mama walabasanga

  51. i really wonder when this culture of dissing will end and when we will start being objective and more positive.

  52. Hmm Ba Black Diamond, we do give due appreciation nga its worth it….we like Danny,he sings nice music, there you go! We appreciate

  53. This woman is yapping bullcrap. What’s a few balls and pillows with some cake? Does she take what she sees on the ground back to her husband or does it end just there after a few camera shots? Could it be that she’s just learning the politics of campaigning? Next time, don’t forget to add a few d!cks to the balls you donate.

  54. I need to meet up with Mrs TB so that i can give her a low down on fashion, makeup and pasture, this woman will make pipo zed women are so backward with fashion. All the Lady bloggers, lets help our sister. You must tell her what to wear when going for such big gatherings.
Step one is the hair, please change that hair style, it is soo 1980s .

  55. How do we access amake temwani to offer our advise on her looks. She always looks tensed up before the camera. she doesnt look free. she nids to ease up to release the tension within her body

  56. Thandiwe I will not comment on your beauty coz i know that you are wonderfully made by God just like Matworld very handsome guy.But on the issue you have mentioned above my dear you I will not agree with u.Miss Daisey my late grandma died coz the docs at UTH couldn’t operate her coz they did not have the kits for operation.Again I will support you Miss daisey you are cute mwandi.Mr Super Man daisey is very cute such that when she puts her pic here she will be answerable in heaven for breaking marriages mumayanda.

    Have a lovely day bonse.

    Matworld.

  57. Amake Temwani , you need to spend more time with RB in your own bed room , not in hotels all the time ok, that will help cos you seem so tense

  58. South Africa for RB and his cadres

Zambian Hospitals for an ordinary working zambian with no alternative.

The first Lady will be the FIRST to go to South Africa if at any time she needed professional medical check ups. She is learning and she is struggling to get her words right. Let us be patient with her for we should not expect more than lip service from her at this juncture. It is the same lip service she gives to RB and friends. Her words are sweet but carry no weight. Again I say that she is learning. I only hope she looks at her own country very closely because she can only learn from it.

  59. #7 you are obsessed with America. Please remmember that it is not all of us who want to be refugees in the US. There is nothing specifically class about Michelle Obama. She went to Harvard and that is the only real thing you should that she went to Harvard. Please don’t insult Thandiwe. This is a down to earth person who does not want to be a “Chintu Ushili” like you.

  60. All this woman needs is posh suits, less makeup, some flexibility on the face and proper hair.nice either curled or straight extensions..thats all !

  61. But Jamaco do we have time for people to be on a learning curve while at the top,?? with so many decisions to make,?? with so many people to represent. ?? No way! careless statements might make Zambia lose money so if her and her old hubby dont know what they are doing, let them pack there bags and vacat the S house. we need a posittive intellectual energy to move zambia up……we need people with a vibe of an economic structure for the future

  62. Miss Daisy, mwalasa proper, i have nothing to add to your comments, this is very clear and simple,
I have no contradiction , no addtion, no subtraction, even division. unless you are Mrs TB.

  63. #19, Iwe Moze, when have you ever said a positive thing about Zambia. You could try to bugger off to your utopia and sing praises of it there. Building a country takes time and sweat. You keep giving the impression to any visitor to this site that Zambia is worse than Somalia or Burma, when Zambia is likely to post the highest growth rate in the region this year.

  64. Kwena bakashana mulapwabantu ngafyamisamo! Especially iwe Baby chakuti! naiwe wine ZOE…..ala mwipwa wandi uleshako advising Mama ku dressing….Nine yama obe.

  65. Now to the proper serious Biz, The hospitals are so filthy, they need more Docs and Nurses, morden equipment, trained staff, and also increase the number of cleaners , cos the hospitals are a source of all sorts of Germs,
Plant some nice flowers on the lawns like in the 80s, That place was very nice and clean, but not anymore.

  66. MRS RB YOU NEED TO LOOK GOOD YOU HAVE ALL THE SERVANTS IN THE WORLD YOU CANT STILL LOOK GOOD ASK MAUREEN WHERE SHE USED TO BUY ALL HER FACE CREAMS AND CLOTHES,AS A FIRST LADY YOU SHOULD LOOK GOOD.I SUPPOSE NOTHING WILL EVER LOOK NICE ON HER .

  67. Ha ha ha ha…Missioned complished Ba Honey, the only thing remaining is printing these comments and posting them to the statehouse so she reads..lol

PEOPLE I HAVE TO LOVE YOU AND LEAVE YOU! Going to watch Gran Terino or something……..ola!

  68. You people,No Way is always angry ka.I fail to understand him.He doesnt chat with anyone, just comes on the blogg and issue his views on the topic with anger and off he goes. Lets help this No Way people.

  69. #84 ! Mmmmmm! Ba Honey, i will soak her face in warm water for 3 minutes or so to loosen dirty and clogged pores. then i will use a dime-sized bit of cleanser and finally rinse with cool or lukewarm water. Zoe or Miss daisy will do the rest!

  70. # 80 continued: And use some skin toner…..A village chicken is very hard to cook , in this case toning the skin wud do

  71. Grace, Grace, grace, Let her live please
Stop commenting on how she looks, thats just un outside appearance
    LONG LIVE FIRST LADY

  72. she’s crazy.look at the mouth
she’s just opening the mouth anyhow without even knowing how to close it.
we want politians to stop going to southafrica 4 treatment then we’ll say there’s improvement. If leaders can’t trust our hospitals how is it possible 4 us to trust them?

  73. Aside the face:

1..T.B has 2revisit and change her wardrobe.Lace materials are long gone.If she stil wants to look older, chitenge outfits wud do but not those she wears made by her chefs (Ask Maureen,or as a first lady u can order already made vitenges from Ghana or Nigeria). 2..Suits,ask Sylvia Masebo where she gets hers.

3….The Hair…..Too much of fishtail,if u have stubborn hair, get original and fancy wigs to wear u r stil young mama. Better still if u dnt like such,do those black dukus like Maureens and/or if u want to plait go to Northmead

  74. Zoe , i think the person doing TB’s make up hairstyles and outfits is her relative from the village someone who is not exposed!

  75. Chiluba goes to South Africa (SA) for medical attention, the Chief Justice has just returned from SA for medical attention, Vernon Mwaanga was rushed to SA for medical attention, Michael Sata was rushed to SA for medical attention, LPM’s late mother was rushed to SA for medical attention, the late Anderson Mazoka was always going to SA for medical attention. The list is endless. So what is there to appreciate about the Zambian health sector. I agree with someone who said the UTH is like a war zone. I visited UTH last month and the road to the maternity section is full of potholes. There is nothing to write home about the Zambian health sector.

  76. Character contributes to beauty. It fortifies a woman as her youth fades. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude, and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful

  77. Why are you fellow richer villagers, but not rich, laughing at us villagers? Is there anything wrong in being a villager? Interesting enough, us villagers have to power to move the Zambian economy more positively as we contribute to the food basket of Zed more than some richer villagers who are wallowing in foreign lands as second class Citizens there.

Give us the respect we need for we are human beings too created in the image of God, the Creator.

  78. The truth is that the first lady should dress well even if she’s not beautiful. The woman is young therefore i see no reason of her dressing like a villager. She must show an example.it shows our zambian women don’t know how to dress.A man feels good when the girl with him is dressed nicely.I don’t know people who dress her.
The first lady’s image can sell zambia or kill it if u don’t know blogger who’re supporting her.Actually I’m not happy to see the first lady dressing like that.Everything is just not good at all.hair style, make up ,what else?come on zambian girls be seriours before we marry whites.

  79. Some of you girls come on this blog thinking you know it all. What makes you think you can advise Thandiwe’s well-paid dressers and make-up artists, 2 years of being a hooker in some foreign country? You wait till the pimples in your arm pits become testicles and spread to your face, we’ll see then what you can advise on underwear for the face. Haven’t you realised by now that maybe she just wants to be natural and down to earth? 5 months down. If she wanted, she could be wasting 5 hours every morning, sitting in front of some state house mirror and coming out looking like Beyonce. Don’t be misled by some first ladies who spend their lifetime trying to resemble a plastic barbie doll.

  80. but again, even if character is important, hmmm .. ..bane ,but not on this one, achita over infact she needs spirit for cleansing

  81. I wonder what stuff young people smoke these days. To compare UTH to a war zone is clearly the effects of drug abuse.

  82. Kanshi MWEBENA ZAMBIA MWABA shani? Whats wrong with Thandiwe? She was merely giving a comment on the development in your country. Its not her fault that make up does not look nice on her face, but truly even the women you see around with nice clothings and make up have had some time to live up to that standard. She has just come out into the lime light. Give her some time. I feel so sad at some negative comments about her, I can simply say some of you friends from zambia are CHRONIC GRAMBLERS. Kano nga nibo.

  83. #11 you talk about how things are changing in zambia for the better, i wonder why you are based in South Africa then, why arent you in the much improving country, Zambia? If things are really changing why, did Our Commander In-Chief Levy Mwanawasa, die in the hands of a foreign army? Is that what you call changing for the better? Today If RB dropped down coz of blood pressure, do you think he’ll be rushed to UTH or Maina Soko, or maybe he’ll be rushed to the airport? If this MMD governemnt is so convinced that they have improved the standards in the health sector, let them start ‘enjoying’ their sweat then by going to UTH! lets call a spade a spade this governement has failed!

  84. When Chiluba dressed up l u came thru with all kinds of wrath from hell, maybe TB ayopa muzumugwila pa last…how many suits, shoes and bling things…and for sure if she dressed really expensive sembe mwa yamba kudala ku kamba ati..bantu ba vutika but avala vo dula na credit crunch intead of leading by example..ha ha ba zedian abroad ndimwa ba drama

  85. Ok lets be critical here. You cannot tell me that BP cannot be treated in Zed and sorry to say but if your time is up then its up. Alot of patients have died despite getting the best medication in the world. Our leaders go for the BEST medical treatment and BEST doctors. Amongst these Doctors, a number of them are from Zed – migrants. There should be a deliberate policy by Government that forces political leaders and government to be treated in local facilities UNLESS it is clearly a case where a specialist is needed that cannot be found LOCALLY. as long as that doesn’t happen we are doomed and UTH & other hospitals will be tired..its because they have an alternative..

  86. You people why dont you let Thandi be ? Why not concetrate on the most important things of life ,You never liked vera and you said she was educated ,one thing about life is that not all people will be the same and not all leaderships will be the same.If great countries like America are in an economic and finacial crisis how much more Zambian a 3rd world country…lets work and find ways how to develop our nation than complaining about Thandi ‘s outfits and all.

  87. Thandiwe should not patronize Zambians. She must limit that attitude to her children. She must learn to listen to what people are saying and respect their views. Moreover those who are in government chose to be of service to us. They are being paid for their work so she should never ever again tell us to appreciate what government is doing. We are the masters and when did a servant ever tell his master to appreciate what he is doing for him?

  88. Thank you for the comment. Glad you find the site interesting. I do have other photos of PM which I will be putting up. The next few blogs will be about sea and ships’ with a few comments and photos about Zepherine McLaren who recently passed away.
