A Ndola clergyman has expressed concern over the silence of the church mother bodies on the issue of South African based exorcists who came to Lusaka to perform ritual cleansing.
Pastor Bupe Mutale told ZANIS in Ndola that it was shocking that the church leaders in Zambians cast a blind eye on a serious spiritual trespass that was done to the country where they were in full spiritual control.
He said allowing the spiritualists to come and perform their rituals without a bother or consideration from the chief mother bodies was a serious omission which must be addressed.
He said the church leaders’ silence on the matter could be misconstrued for consent and support when it is clear that there were questions which must be answered by the church leaders regarding the matter.
Pastor Mutale said since Zambia was a Christian nation, it was important to critically examine the motives and implications for certain actions that were allowed into the country, especially that they were being performed by outsiders.
Pastor Mutale cautioned the church mother bodies to justify their relevance in the country if they were not giving spiritual guidance to the nation.
He said it was little wonder that even their boycott of the NCC was an ill concieved position because a Constitution was coming which would not only affect those who participated in its making process, but includes them despite not being part of the process.
The pastor said that Church should learn lessons from national bodies and associations in the political arena which went the boycotting route in the past and to-date have failed to recover from the repercussions of such ill conceived actions.
He called for a stronger prophetic voice from the church mother bodies on topical national issues for them to remain relevant because they had a responsibility to give spiritual guidance to the nation on matters of religion.
ZANIS/ENDS/CN/EML/EB
Its true why are they quite about the whole thing?
I have been trying to figure out how christianity and exorcism can mix. Can some please explain how the dark forces and righteous forces of the spiritual world can be combined, I find that rather contradictory.
If Zambia is a Christian nation why in the world would they allow such things to happen, is it christian nation by word or by acts? Sangomas consults the so called spirits and Christians consult the Bible and God for help and answers, what the sangoma’s came to do here is not pertaininng to christianity. I dont think this has got to do with religion no, i gues thats why kaunda stopped churches like lenshina.
Prepare for hard times ahead.
Tatulefwaya ubuloshi pa Zed [-x
And who invited these chimps in Zambia?
VERY SOON THESE SANGOMAS WILL BE CALLED TO ZAMBIA AS INVESTORS. REMEMBER, HEAVEN ON EARTH CON BY KAUNDA. HEAVEN ON EARTH ARE SANGOMAS, TOO. BUT, FROM ASIAN (OR IS IT FAR EAST?) ORIGIN. AND RB IS COMING FROM KK BACKGROUND!
Pamulomo ba clergyman.Wen it comes to politics u condemn the involvement of the church but u want them to say something over the sangomas. The church has no say in who shud be let into the country, the govt allowed these witches to come.LPM refused to let them come perform their fimofimo becoz he knew tht Zambia is a christian nation. But Mr Clergyman, tht question shud be addressd to RB. KK was present during their ritual ceremony.Who knows they came to do some magic on RB so tht he too becomes “wamuyaya” May God deliver RB n KK for allowing such nonsense.
These Sangomas can only be entertained by people who have a belief in them . None of what they practice comes true,. Its a sheer waste of time. Cleansing ingulu, day in day out. malabish.
RB must be ashmed of what he has done or should the blame be on the minister for local govt and housing? such things dont just hapen can the people involved tell us why consulting the dead when there alot of people with knowldge living
Witchcraft in Zambia,God help us
imwe benifye bwino. South Africans are so full of tradition and culture. they are unlike as Zambians who dont have anything we can call own. We accepted them initially when they were fighting the freedom strugle and we fought it with them. therefore we can not stop them from claiming what is theirs. these things only happen to those who believe in them. this thing about Christianity, what about other religions? Muslims, Buddists etc… why do you put them? efileta inkondo mufyalo fimbi. takuli nefya buloshi iyooo.
He he he christian National mwandi…..Sangomas nonsense
Zambia is a christian nation, freedom fighters or not those rituals were demonic.Hw do pipo spend the night at the graveyard and leave arnd 04hrs claiming to get their ancestors spirits,2make matters worse, the F-o-o-l-s party cadres (MMD) were the choir at the ceremony.Theres something fishy abt their coming……..God help us
Zoe – you speak sense my dear there is somthing fishy about the whole thing
#14. So its Nyama Soya who requested the sangomas to come to Zambia! Bwezani, Bwezani how many times did I call? now tell us, is this Levy’s legacy? did levy ever callled for sangomas to zmabia to all sorts of evil you and your caders were doing at the cemetery? With this crises we are in, other leaders are busy finding solution for their countries, but what does Bwezani do? attending sangomas overnight ceremony at the cemetery.
Fellow bloggers, stop getting carried away. These people have as much right to come to our country and perform what is after all an authentic AFRICAN ritual. Their activities did not affect anyone else apart from those who believe in superstition and those were present at the proceedings. Freedom of worship means just that. Christian zealots must stop behaving like present day pharisees, scribes and teachers of the law. Zambia is a secular democracy. Church bodies do not stand for elections.
someone explain who was being cleansed?
ROSE theres no legacy in thiss govt.LPM initially refused this kinda ceremony. I thot growing up meant becuming wiser in this case,KK and RB have gone back to infantry where they dnt knw whether wat they are doing is right or wrong….God where are u???????
Its like at times we all go to sleep in this coun try,who allowed the so called sangomas to come and do the rubbish in our country? The government should explain to us who invited them.Probably, this is what they call freedom of worship,i need to be educated.
May be we should be developing our religions and stop deluding ourselves with Christianity which after all is foreign. To paraphrase Bob Marley, “we must stop killing our own culture”.
#14 Zoe: You are confusing me with your points at #8 and #14, you appear to contradict yourself. However, this Pastor Bupe Mutale, in my opinion is right to question the silence of the clergy over this issue of the Sangomas. As a christian nation, the church is very much there for spiritual guidance of the nation. This sangomas thing has happened at national level and the thing is very contrary to Bible teachings , then the church mother bodies should let their opinion over the matter be known to the nation just like they do on national political issues. Infact this issue calls for the church to be heard more because powers of darkness seem to be at work in full view of everyone.
Dont worry guys. Ubuloshi bwapa SA ta bwakalipa kwati ubwa pa Zed
#21, Christianity is not foreign….Jesus died for all of us sinners and the fact that he didnt die in Zambia does not ake christianity a foreign religion…..U didnt expect him to divide himself in pieces to spread his body to the entire world but he was and is stil in Zambia and every other country spiritually……Anyway beleive in whatever u feel is right for u.But in my case the sangomas fimofimo was demonic….
Come on, Zambia is a democracy and their freedom of expression in the country. The “Church” mother body has no right to stop others expressing their beliefs.
Pastor Bupe Mutale is not only confused but a fake as he seems to be mixing totally different issues. We have sangoma’s in our neighbourhoods in the compounds and never raise any concern as long as there is no criminal activities going on. The ing’angas are all over our country and there is freedom of choice by people as to whether to consult them or not to. Visit the markets and you will find tents which have been erected by these people as they have to earn a living. How does the church mother bodies then come in on this matter when our culture does not frown on it? This matter has no relevence and relationship with the boycott of the NCC but we know you are sponsored.
Ba LT ngamwachiletako new topic mwee.Especially weekend pix
Just check the post and see how Sangwapo is full of adverts from Ng’anga’s. Look, spiritism is rampart in this country and noone has ever talked about it. Christians have a role to preach and the people choose what they want to believe. Jesus never falsed anyone to believe his teachings, he preached and gave people a chance to make their choices.
The Church should give spirtual guiddance, so in the end individualz can make choice and imformed decisionz.
#18. Obvious its the FIRST FAMILY, why could MMD carders act as praise team during the ceremony.
When the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation was made, it was qualified by “tolerant to other religions.” All those calling for church mother bodies to say something about sangomas, should start by analysing what happens within the borders of Zambia, the kind of spiritual veneration or some rituals being practiced by our own tribes at ceremonies (e.g. Ncwala, Kuomboka, Umutomboko, Kulamba, Likumbi, Lwindi etc), funerals, weddings and many other such occasions. Listen: “Before you remove a speck from your friends eye, first remove that log from your eye” says the Holy Bible, which most of you pretend to read and understand well. But again, am not in support of sangomas.
People people people! Lets those who want to worship spirits go ahead. One (a grown man) has a choice in the presence of the Light, to follow darkness by free will, i.e. I think you can not push Christianity down somebody’s throat to swallow. We are saved by grace. Zambia is a Christian nation only by declaration it doesn’t mean those who are not Christians are not Zambians. Don’t you wonder why the so called evil, God has allowed them to still be alive? Therefore relax, be patient, don’t think you are more righteous than God, who has allowed them to be alive. Maybe we should just pray for the nation instead.
What is the fuss all about the South African sangomas coming to Zambia to perfom their rituals for the souls of their people?
The Christian mother bodies in Zambia are right to keep quiet about the whole thing because it is none their business to meddle in South African spiritualism. Yes! We are a Christian nation, but that does mean that we have the right to meddle into other people’s beliefs. The sangomas came to Zambia for South African souls and not Zambian ones.
Are Sagomas the only evil that Zambia has had? What of our own local Ngangaz we have in the Country? And since when did the Church become the Ministry of Home affairs for them to choose who should visit Zambia? or you want it to act that way because of the sagomas? What of some satanic practises which are done on our soil by our own pipo why don’t you say something about Ba Mutale? There is stealing, satanism, witcraft, adultery name them are all these less than the rituals performed by the Sagomas on our soil?
Remove the plank in your own eye so that yo can see the one in your friends eye. None of us is perfect even if we aren’t sagomas Pastor plse!!!!
The church bodies have so much say on who shud come into the country on matters perteninig to religion, more especially exosism which is considered witchcraft. What cleansing can they those spiritualists do that christians can not do,I remember in past we had national prayers where christians gatherered in big numbers to pray for the nation,so if they is an issue why not call on the church hold a national pray day to ask God to interven into our situation?Am suprised to hear that they went to the grave yard to do what? The grave yard is for dead pipo, and what can dead pipo say concerning the issues of the living?
Those sangomas blinded us, they played magic with their charms. How come we are realizing this now? .People these are spiritual things whether you believe in them or not they are real, a lot transpired during that cleansing. I urge all true Christians to raise up and condem the act.
Its loud and clearthat, you are on your own and the church is on its own to.They are not spiritual any more coz basically what they do does not reflect what God wants. Now they are ok with witchraft tomorrow its going to be satanism,Infat we dont have to forget that up to now the universal chirch is wide open and in full swing enroling more and more . Only God can judge me. Pac.
Zamlbia is not a circular nation, where anything can be done by any outsider, where anything that is not of God can be let go just like that…..Now what ever those spiritualists let in our beloved country lets bind it in JESUS name,May those spiritualists have no peace for doing what they did in a christian national in JESUS name,So that they know that the God we worship is greater than them and that Zambia is not a free zone area for witches!!!
#31.As much as i agree with all you have said in your comment I also want to say something contrary to your posting.I agree wth you that God has allowed these pipo to be alive, but that does not give us a garantee to get yoked with these pipo its up to us as christians to get rid of these pipo the bible tells us that we should not be yoked with un believers for what does the light has to do with darkeness?Iam not saying we sholud not interact with unbelievers but when interacting with them we have to be watchful and find a way of bringing them to Christ. As for the sangomas in our country this is unacceptable, honestly what are they doing and how do they enter the country? Cont’d
we r a christian country,
Rb had arranged this whole program quiet embarrassing
Hi all. Personally, i don’t see any problem. You people in this country who do the exact same thing and we the citizens go to these people when we have problems. Why are we pretending? We have them in our culture, so ninshi fyashupa? Tell me.
I am trying to post something but it is not working out LT.
On what basis did they enter the country? What exactly did they come to do in our country? Oh Lord look upon our country please open our spiritual eyes, before we get lost as a nation.I really don’t understand why the govt and the Immigration allowed these pipo in our country.
Anyway only God knows.
Good day my fellow Zambians and please lets continue praying for our nation as Political black belt on #31 has suggested
Matworld on vacation calalila lelo no book for the next two days. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha WOZA VACATION!!!!
Line one on #41 should start; We have people in this country……
What I tried to post reads as follows :
Maybe the christians knew everything but was just practicing tolerance. It is part of Christianity, but try this some other country with a different faith.
Not that i support the visit of the Sangomas but i think many of you have the wrong belief. Not all Sangomas are witches. Some are just traditional healers but pray to ancestors just like our own traditional “white” witch doctors. Dont you think it was interesting to see what cultures other people practice?? Personally i think it is a good experience.
yes we are a christian country.
we just have to be open to others.
Tolerance is what Christianity teaches.
I support Ba Moze on #41 and i dont see the role of the Church in this matter. They just came to visit. Osayenda ngati sufuna.
Accepting others is what our Faith teaches us.
Ba Moze
tapali ifi shupile apa,all I can say is it depends on your faith,if you believe that these pipo the sangomas are great for you then you are free to believe in them and if you are like me who believes that Christ is the only hope of glory then that is great as well.but you can’t mix the two mind you he is a jelous God. So mudala wandi tapali ifishupile apa after all its freedom of worship but ku heaven there will be nothing like freedom of worship.
ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
I find nothing wrong with the Sangoma’s activities in Zambia. They came to collect their own dead sons and daughters. Lets RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES CULTURES AND CUSTOMS
#42 Hi Jamaco, not insele pano ka? Aba ama Sangoma kanshi, finshi balefwaya pa Zed? Fwebene twalikalafye bwino na ba Yaweh besu, e bene ba calo.
Firstly,we have a head of state who immediately ,upon assuming his office went to get Muarmar G’s blessings and publicly condemns Israel. Now has called his underworld colleagues to come and take their position in a Christian nation so as to weaken it spiritually. What is the church doing at the moment?ARGUING about who has the best congregation in town, who has a mega church with several services in one day,who is the most loaded in terms of money etc.Instead of spreading the Good News of the risen Messiah some churches are still arguing on a Sabbath day saying they are the only true church (as if).
#53 Hola Amen my dear.
#25,31,35 good comments. I gues u are respected wisemen of your own communities. though they say a prophet is without honour in his home town.
#25,31,33, good comments. I gues u are respected wisemen of your own communities. though they say a prophet is without honour in his home town.
#33 its time you understood these things those local ngangas there are a local issue and its up to an individual to make a decision whether to go and consult or not! And its another thing when a government or a nation brings outsider witches to perform rituals on a nation, this is where now it becomes a national issue becoz it affects the nation and not an individual, even you if you were to go to a nganga that will only concern you and your family and not the nation, but wen leaders who are leading the nation take the nation to rituals then it concerns the naton at large!
From the postings above i can see that ignorance is Zambia’s worst enemy. I am a Christian but I do not impose my religion on any one who wishes to worship in a different way. If I were to force any one I would be commiting an offence under Article 19(1) and 19(3) which Articles are justiciable ( ie. sueable). The President or Church mother bodies can not prevent any one from carrying out a religious observance unless an offence is committed at such an obsevance. Zambia is a christian nation by declaration in the Preamble of the Constitution but Part III of the Constitution gives freedom of worship to every religion.
continued from 58 ….Let me also advise the Pastor in question that if he persists with his ignorance and tries to prevent a perfectly legal obsevance such as Mwat Kazembe throwing food to the Spirits of the River or the Litunga taking a fire from Lealui to Limulunga or some one worhiping at their relatives grave as the Sangomas did, then he risks being taken to a court of law where the government will be compelled to protect the ceremony and right of worship and the Pastor will be fined and issued with a Restraning Order
#57 Rose.
Amen my dear Iam in love with what you have said. This will help the pipo who thinks there is nothing wrong with this issue.
God bless you my dear.
Once again Amen to your comment.
#58 Ba Nkole Wamapemba
The pastor can never be taken to court because he is also exercising his freedom of speech.I iam in love with your posting here on LT.Nomba ili ilyashi taliweme from Christianity point of view. You have given the example of Mwata kazembe Imfumu yesu throwing food pa river, tell me if it is from your Christian point of view if that is a godly exercise. Read ROSE’s Comment Iam sure that is why the pastor had to come out coz this issue affects the whole nation. Those who are in support and those of us who are not in support.
have a blessed
Ndimwe ba first kuyenda ku n’ganga when you have STIs, yet you are christians!! Don’t just condemn. Freedom of shani?….WORSHIP!!!
Zambia is governed by the constitution and not the bible and it is a constitutinal right to belong to any religion(Freedom of worship as enshrined in the Bill of Rights). Therefore, as a defender of the constitution,I see nothing wrong in these people practising what they believe in.Zambia does not belong to christians alone but to Hindus,Moslems, bahath and indigeneous belivers as well.Iam a christian but i do respect other religion given my background in Chipata where there are a lot of Hindus.
What’s all this phobia about Sangomas from the RSA? If you guys are true believers, just believe in what you believe and don’t force your belief/faith on others. If you feel those Sangomas are satanists, why not go to RSA and preach to them ofcourse not forgetting the local ones.
I used to think these Sangomas are witches/wizards but reading your comments closely, I’m learning that they have the same status as our own traditional healers. Where is the difference?
Ba Matworld na Ba Big Moze How are you?
Ba Sharp Shooter, ine nili bwino mudala. JUst amussed at the hypocrisy on this story mani. Abengi balaya ku n’ganga, now today they are saying sangoma mubi. Ungaimvele iyo?
Ba Sharp Shooter
iam great Mudala and You?
Ba Moze One cannot only get healed by the ng’angas.STI’s can be healed naku hospitals even by using other herbs that we know.I for one iam not condemning those of you who visit these pipo,as i said earlier on that it depends na faith. If you think you get healded Sangomas can heal you then go ahead and visit them,as for me my faith tells me that by his stripes Iam healed.
Nine Chale these pipo are not witches, but iam against their deeds.Ba Moze I will give you a practical example why are these pipo not rich when they help others to be rich? Iam sure you have also head something like ukusambila.Cont’d
Ukusambila iciwa, love portion is this fair to other pipo who become victims of all the stuff I have mentioned?
Anyway brethren iam not trying to preach to anyone I will repeat this again all depends on what your faith tells you.Lets also not condemn this man he is just trying to express what he is not comfortable with just as you not comfortable with his comments.
Lastly my dear friends the real church/faith is within yourselves so dont just follow what some of us christians and non christians say.
I rest my case.
have a blessed day bonse naleka

Its Nyamas on the seat. The Country has no direction, the Sugardaddy is still sleeping.Prepare for hard times.
God bless Pastor Bupe Mutale. The act that was done is a very spiritual one that is why there is even arguments on this blog, it can only be discerned spiritually. This is a spiritual battle eph 6:12 and it can only won spiritually, let’s forgive and love those that do not not understand. It’s time for those who fear the Lord to repent on behalf of our land because doors have been opened , infact some of the things we see happening naturally in our country like hopelessness in our economy, disorganization in the way our country is run and so forth are fruits of opening these doors. It’ time for the God fearing believers like Gideon rose up in the bible to destroy the altars in the…
contd spritual world. We cannot allow demons to rule the land that God gave us. It is time to seriously pray no wonder we have alot of unqualified people who are running strategic sectors of our economy be it in companies or in Govt, most of them are there through charms and of course corruption, how can a nation prosper honestly when there is a curse of serving foreign Gods.No wonder young qualified leaders and proffesionals are unable to get those offices because of too much spiritual warfare. It’s time to be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves to get this nation back to Jesus. It’s time to travail spiritually the same God who delivered our nation in 1991 when Zambia prayed and
repented is the same God who will deliver Zambia when we seriously pray and repent . 2 Chronicles 7:14. Believers are the salt and light for Zambia but if the salt is lost it is worthy to be trampled upon, may it not be so for Zambia, Lord raise up many pastors like Pastor Bupe Mutale and prophets in Zambia who will speak the word of God like prohet Jeremiah and other prophets in the bible without fear .God bless Zambia
New Zambia what really is your point? Wickedness will keep on increasing especially in these last days and there’s nothing you can do that will stop fullfilment of biblical prophecy.
This just reminds me of the many prayers for peace that so called christian religions organise. Picture the scene of such a session called by pope John Paul 2 . Imagine an American Indian, in fully feathered headdress, sharing a platform with a Greek Orthodox priest, the Buddhist Dalai Lama seated along with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a Jewish rabbi sitting with a metropolitan of the Russian Orthodox Church? And why would Pope John Paul II of the Catholic Church be presiding at such a gathering?
Not long ago it would have been unthinkable for the pope to share a prayer platform with leaders of the other major religions. Yet, in late 1986, in the Italia
in the Italian city of Assisi, he joined with all these other religions in celebrating the “World Day of Prayer for Peace.” The gathering was promoted by the pope in harmony with the United Nations’ designation of 1986 as the International Year of Peace.
At Assisi, there were varied prayers for peace. But who listened to them? The Trinitarian God of Christendom? Or the God of the Jews? Allah of the Muslims? The Great Thumb and Roaring Thunder of the animists? Did any of these gods listen to these prayers? Now that some time has passed since Assisi, the answers are evident.
#80 wickedness will increase in these last days but the church will get brighter and brighter Isiah 60 and as believers we can change the level of wickedness by praying for those who are not saved to get saved because God is not willing that any perish but that all should come to repentance so as believers we can reduce the level of this wickedness by acting on and obeying a lot of principles in the bible. I hope that answers your question. God bless you and God bless Zambia.
New Zambia you you dont just read the Bible for the sake of reading it,but you read and apply it.Iam impressed with your postings.Iam sure God is proud of you my dear. Stay blessed.
New Zambia, statistics show that viloence and wickedness have been on the increase just as the bible said they would, just as true worship has become established. These are two aspects of the sign that Jesus would say would accompany the last days. While God is not willing that any be destroyed, it should be borne in mind that God does not false anyone to exercise faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, the only thing Christians can do to help to such like one is simply to preach to them, whether those will respond or not is left up to the individual. Yes, so while God is not willing that any be destroyed, the bible shows that a lot, in fact millions will be destroyed. Remember than many are
Indeed invited but only a few are chosen.
Let the wheat and the weed grow together, there will be time of separation. Who knows we might one day have a good sangoma, just like we had a good Samaritan. What is needed is ,respect each other `s freedom of association ,trouble with groupings of spiritualists is their code of secrecy , which does a lot of brain washing
#85 my bible tells me something else in the midst of wickedness the light will shine brighter, in terms of millions being destroyed that’s the fault of the believers because Jesus has already died for everyones sins and we have been commanded to go and preach the good news but only a few believers are obeying that scripture,in terms of someone’s will you are correct but how can they believe if no one has preached to them, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17,how many souls did you win for the Lord yesterday? Remember as believers we will be held accountable for the blood of non believers so it’s nothing to rejoice about that many will be destroyed in fact we…
we need to travail, mourn, weep groan for unsaved souls. God bless you #87 let us learn to divide the word rightly the weeds the bible is talking about are hypocrites in the church and not the latter you are talking about. The word of God is very clear on sangomas you shall not consult anyone with a familiar spirit there are consequences. God bless you.
Stop cheating yourselves Zambians. God is not there!
In post 77 i also needed to clarify that as much as we are fighting a spiritual battle Jesus has already overcome it because he disarmed the principalities and powers in the :heavenly realms colosians 2:15 so we are are fighting a good fight of faith over Zambia because the battle was already won on calvary for Zambia. The victory is already ours let’s just enforce it , thank God for it and walk in it as believers.# 84 the glory goes back to God.
# 89 New Zambia, your point is very valid, however ,on a large scale let the Christians and their non Christians fellow citizens live in harmony , how ever anyone who proves a better angel wins the other to their faith. At church level it is a different case whereas at national level , I would say it is equally a different. approach..my thinking.
The approach I my view should be christian pastors warning their flock about the dangers of spiritualism. God gives choices if you believe in or not,He is still God ,but never forces allegiance.
#92 you are correct as Christians we have a moral obligation to live in love and at peace with everyone and to speak out the truth in love.
#93 just like the whole nation should not be committed by leaders to spiritual ungodly covenants.
An encouragement to # 90 please read Psalm 53 verse 1. God loves you and we love you.
New Zambia, the success of a christian can’t be measured by how many he helps learn the truth about God. For obvious reasons, we preach, but who makes it grow? Is it the one who sows? Is it the one who waters? No! It is God who makes it grow. Consider this, if the success of a preacher was measured by the number of people he converts, then Noah and Lot would have failed in their assignments to preach. But did they? No, God’s word speaks well of them.
New Zambia ,your posting on 94 is very cardinal ,speaking the truth with/in love. This is correct , but look at what Pastor mutale is saying on NCC, the picture is distorted about representation.E.g SDAs are in NCC, Pentecostals such North Mead assembly bread of life are also in the NCC , others as individual members not as a secretariat of the church mother bodies .Even in the time of Christ and Paul were spiritualists as long as their leader is still given life ,they too will live on
Christianity is a personal decision and noone can commit another to anything. There’s no way everyone is going to agree on their religious beliefs, never, in fact the bible does no state anywhere that eventually they shall agree on one thing. So let those who want to follow other faiths do so. You simply preach to them and let them decide on their own. God appreciates our heart felt obedience not something imposed on us. In fact Jesus said if they listened to me, they will listen to you also, if they disobeyed me, they wiill not listen to you either for a student is not greater than his teacher. So if you hoping for evryone to repent, then my friend you will wait for what won’t happen.
#97 we have to admit as christians that we are not doing enough this will be the begining of the solution. God has already done his part we have to do our part as believers which most of us have failed to do and we need to repent for not obeying the great commission commandment 100%.
Well, admitting is important but only part of the solution. Jesus indicated what it is that fire christians to preach, one is love for God and the people one preaches to and the driving false is what he indicate to his desciples in Acts 1:8; When the holyspirit comes upon you, you will be witnesses of them both in Judea and to the most distant part of the earth. True chrsitians therefore preach to every one, like the first century christians, they preach from house to house, on the streets and just about anywhere people can be found.
#99 having a defeated attitude will not help too, because you will easily give up and convince yourself that afterall not everyone will be saved, it is better to believe that all things are possible and that God is not willing that any should perish and do your part by snatching some even from the fire , at least even if only a few reject the Lord even with much conviction their blood will not be upon you, in summary let us not give up easily on souls that’s the heart beat of God. God bless you.
#98 on the NCC my personal view is that the Church should have participated as volunteers with no allowances out of a moral obligation and they should have convinced all the other stakeholders to do the same. That is speaking for the voiceless and oppressed. You can imagine how much money was going to be saved and used for other ventures which would help the underpriveleged in Zambia. My view is also to have Zambians vote on constitution amendments during elections as it is more effective and less expensive. These are my personal views. God bless Zambia.
To be governed by a constitution is one thing, to break the law is another. Witchcraft impedes progress and development. This evil practice has never solved any problems affecting Zambia today. When western world are focusing on the power of the mind, some people are investing their time and knowledge in the world of superstition. Sad and shameful.
But ones belief must be have scriptural basis. If the bible says not everyone will listen, it says just that. Jesus gave the command to preach and knowing that not everyone will listen does not mean having a defeated attitude, rather it gives realistic expectations of the things you will encounter when preaching. Remember Jesus said expect opposition. The preaching work must carry until the one who said Go! says Stop!
#103 A very mother Theresa of Calcutta way of reasoning , very humbling though. How about , transport, accommodation costs etc. Anyway payments for the job done is a good motivation factor ,unless you totally believe in getting your rewards in the seventh heaven.
#104 MUSI, do not portray the westerns as being saints ,actually England has been described as the most haunted place on earth . They have a lot of ghost hunters. They have societies of paranormal psychical . Many people would want to paint a picture of Africa as one associated with witch crafts far from it .There are more of mediums and ghost hunters in Europe than the average person knows.
As a Christian I am a sinner, as Zambia is a Christian nation; the devil is our enemy. Medium s and healers consult the other side, the devils side. Thus Christian leaders are supposed to lead the charge on the forces of evil. When in our country are we going to realise that the loss of our moral and spiritual standings shall lead to greater devastation. The ones pretending to be ignorant on the topic of these Sagomas, here are my Question, why was Kaunda down with heaven on earth ? and now why is he and Banda on the prow? kapena naimwe dimwe fwiti. We need Zambians to atleast be given a chance to make it to heaven one day through the rapture or resurrection, abantu bachula sana.
Things will be better when christians stop thinking that they’re the righteous ones and the people from other religions are wicked.Who told you that christianity’s the only true religion?People you should start reading and conducting personal research on these issues and not just believing in whatever your pastor tells you on sundays or what you read from a book of myths, written in medieval Europe. Some of you hdo research on alot of academic issues and I guess you can find sometime to do research on religeous issues to have a personal position.I personally dont think these traditional religions that we’ve around differ alot. They’re basically the same………it’s wrong to declare…
Instead of worrying about sangoma’s you christians need to worry about the demonic pagan rituals you adopted from pagan rome .Soon this month you will will honour Ishtar a pagan goddess with eggs and ignore the biblical passover. Always quick to point the finger at others while you are the ones with the log in your eyes. In the eyes of a hebrew person those sangoma’s and christians are serving the same deity because the majority of bother of your practices are unbiblical.
Wheres the outcry from following pagan christmas, where is the outcry from following pagan easter, where is the outcry for not keeping biblical feasts. Very vociferous when it comes to claiming to love YHWH and his son but in deeds you have dark hearts and obey the devil.
# 105 i think it’s best for you to stick with your theology and i will stick with mine and God will be the judge on both of us. God bless you. # 106 Zambians opposed those hefty allowances and that was what i was trying to emphasise, in terms of lodging ,transport well they be can catered for although i still think there is a better cost effective way to amend the constitution.God bless you.
#110 You are very right, so many doctrines abound that are paraded as being christian, which when scrutinzed turn to be demon inspired. The teachings about christmas for instance, easter. God has indicated that he wants those who worship to do in spirit and truth, therefore a christian worth the name will not mix pagan customs with what the bible teaches. They must base their teachings soildly on what God has revealed and not human ideas.
Can we conceive of a greater incongruity, than for a “Christian” to go from his closet, where he has been praying for his enemies, and command his troops to plunge the weapons of death with fiend like fury, into the hearts of those very enemies? In the one case, he happily resembles his dying Master; but whom does he resemble in the other? Jesus prayed for his murderers. “Christians” murder those for whom they pray.
“When shall we believe the Almighty who assures us that he is ‘not mocked?’ When shall we understand the nature, the genius, of that holy religion which requires us to abstain from even the ‘appearance of evil?’ . . . Is it not a libel on the Son of the…
blessed to suppose that his religion allows its adherants to behave like angels in one relationship and demons in another?
1corinthians 10:21 –You cannot drink the cup of YHWH and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both YHWH’s table and the table of demons.
Matthew 15:7–But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their doctrines commandments of men
There is nothing wrong with the sangomas practicing whatever they believe in. We should leave that to God, that’s his job to judge. Moreover, modernity was impossed on us, before it we had our own ways of doing things and such should be respected. People should be free to consult the sangomas or go to mdern institutions. The Pastors are not holy either!
This Pastor Polepole Bupe Mutale should just shut up, this is Africa not Jerusalem. It is the same people you hear condemning Sangomas who frequent them most, at night. At least Katele was honest and even swallowed umuthi was disappearance though he is too opaque and failed to blend with invisibility. Chiluba ni ndoshi and used the declaration to hide, bu polepole bwacilamo awe sure!
You also recall Super Ken and “Musiyaleni fo Malozi”? He was saying this even in Mfuwe and Kasaba Bay, you bet it was the ghost of NM he was trying to stop from lynching him. Mwanawasa was excommunicated from the Watchtower Sect for ubuloshi! Awe sure, ubuloshi is part of our kaca and we should embrace it and only use christianity to cover up ourselves until Katele Kalumba perfects his medicine of disappearance shield us all from exposure to evil western influences.
