Crocodile terrorizes Kapata villagers

Share

A 31-year old man of Kapata village in Mpulungu district of Northern Province is nursing serious injuries in Mbala General Hospital after being attacked by a crocodile.

Emmanuel Sichilima sustained serious injuries on his belly and legs after a battle with the reptile at Lunzuwa river on friday night.

Raphael Sichilima, a friend to Emmanuel, told ZANIS that the victim was attacked around midnight as he was trying to cross the river on his way home from a drinkng spree.
He said Emmanuel was rescued by people who heard him shouting for help. He was paddled to Mpulungu health centre where he was referred to Mbala General Hospital.

Both police and hospital authorities confirmed the incident to ZANIS.

Raphael said the villagers of Kapata believe that the vicious crocodile has been terrorising them for several years now, and have since appealed to the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) to travel to the area and crop the reptile.

  1. #1 Iwe Chale villagers don’t have INTERNET access, Besides this character was probably aware of the Crocs in the area, but after taking some local brew like KATATA, he thought he was super human and he could dig it with the Crocs, but after sustaining a few Crocs bites am sure all his counterfeit KATATA evaporated and he realized what he was up with and screemed for help. Poor character, any way may he get well soon and try real KATATA, RUM or KACHASU next time. Not the fake stuff you took

  2. #2 Papa J.mwanisekesa mudala ati super human.I feel for him.I know what alcohol can do when its comes to decision making. However I wish him quick recovery for also my Village is laden with these devils

  4. Crocs need privacy please, how do u disturb the animals at midnight.Quick recovery but i hope he’s learned a lesson

  5. Well, before he decides to venture into croc. territory in the dead of the night, he will think twice.

  6. Now a man has been attacked. These reptiles have no respect at all. We should surely auction them and their eggs. At least this time they missed a full meal. They only had an appetiser hence those wounds of Mr fimo fimo. These crocodiles are upset about something. It seems 6 months of RB in Office is enough and the Crocs also feel the economic pressure. The economic pressure means that people spend more time by the river side. Now this surely disburbs the Crocs. LOL

  7. These people risk their lives because that’s the way they make a living. If they don’t go out into the waters, then their families would die of hunger. No one wants the family to starve when there’s a way to avoid starvation.

  8. Ama crocs pa zed yashupa mwe.
BUt ba guy aba nabo who does he cross a river at such an hour? This should warn him not to make crazy decisions after taking lots of babylon water

  9. So baby C what do you make of it now that this time its a man. LAst time accusations were made that it was guys turning into crocs and attacking women. Or that it was male crocs who were the culprits. Can we assume now that it was some female croc which was responsible. Or mayne it was a Gay Croc lol

  10. Mune Ne kabanki Nshikwete Mulandu, bushe nobe ulebukisha pio na vera? awe kale. gay croc are vicious. Who nids to know more.

  11. Hope he has learnt a lesson big time, knowing very well that he has to cross the river for him to get home, he chose to stay for a drink until mid night. that how careless some people can be with their lives. Get well soon, you’ve got a testimony to tell.
