Share

A 58 year old woman of Yeta plots in Mongu District is battling for her life in Lewanika General Hospital after she was severely stabbed with a knife by unknown people.

Western Division Police Commanding Officer Veal Muzwenga confirmed the incidence to ZANIS in Mongu yesterday and identified the woman as Grace Mutinta.

Mr. Muzwenga said Mutinta sustained deep cuts around her neck and head.

He said a team of Police Officers found Ms. Mutinta unconscious near Total Filling station along Mongu-Lusaka road around 08:00 hours on Sunday. They later rushed her to the hospital where her condition is said to be stable.

Mr. Muzwenga said Police have launched a man-hunt for the culprit.

  1. Stop watching these Nigerian films! You see now, you think every older person is a wizard or witch! Mamaaaa! The Lord awaits them! These criminals must be arrested!

  2. I think the juju of Katele he got from his great uncle Mwata Yamvo is more powerful than anything you can find with abaloshi in Barozeland. Anyway, since she is Tonga, I hope the attach is not sexually related.

  3. And considering the fact that policemen sent by Levy could clearly see Katele behind a shrub he was frantically trying to hide behind, does it mean the powers of Levy’s Sangomas are more powerful than those of Katele’s Katangese Kaboke wizards? Well, Dora’s sangoma must be a powerful one too, it smeared her with some charms that have left Akulu Mphuno mauless and salivating!

  4. Whoever stabbed this woman is a psychopath. However,i also presume that this woman is a culprit of something.

  5. It is amazing how people come up with conclusions based on the story above. Why speculate till we no more facts. As to those like #14 who feel that the VICTIM somehow deserves the horrific attack without any evidence I am lost for words. This is why rumour mongering in Zambia is so rife.

  6. Niswabile ahulu. Why kuba ni pilu yasituhu kwa machembele cwalo. Its very sad indeed to of such a story from Barosteland .I know LOZI’S of Barotseland being extremly very GOOD HEARTED and KIND poeple.

May our beloved old lady recover quickly.

  7. YOU CANNOT JUST GET STABBED IN SUCH AN AREA WITHOUT ANY SOLID REASON.CAN THE WOMAN PLEASE EXPLAIN OR TELL WHAT SHE WAS GETTING UP 2

  8. #15 Kalembo Kanga, for the lack of better name i will call you “chumbu munshololwa” In the first place i did not feel that the woman deserves that horrific attack.I was just trying to strike a balance by looking at both sides of a story.Needless to say the story above does not contain sufficient details to convince the readers that the victim was innocent or vice-versa.If you carefully look at my comment above you can see that i was trying to redress the balance. You are the one who is trying to be a rumour monger!

  9. This story is sad and strange at the same time. In Germany, detectives would say there must be a motive somewhere but deep in some Zambian villages, it seems some people are just “pure lunatic” and stab anything that moves at night.

  10. Till you get more information then dont say that the victim was up to something as that is pure speculation at this juncture. What if somebody is just a lunatic as others have said or it was a case of witchcract or a robbery gone wrong? As for what you called me i dont know what it means as it is not in any of the Zambian languages I speak so your insult was a waste of time. In the future, lets get the facts then we can make conclusions. Also a very Zambian trait – when the victim is a woman then the male bloggers always try to somehow blame her without any evidence.
