MMD National Chairman MICHEAL MABENGA is disappointed with Senior Chief BRIGHT NALUBAMBA following his media remarks that President RUPIAH BANDA qualifies to be a liar.
Mr. MABENGA says it is disappointing that the royal highness could be issuing derogatory remarks against an elected republican president.
He told ZNBC news that such an attitude Chief NALUBAMBA is exhibiting has a consequence of undermining his integrity as a royal highness.
Mr. MABENGA also said Chief NALUBAMBA’s attacks on president BANDA in the press will attract the MMD to retaliate through the press.
He called on traditional rulers to desist from meddling in politics to preserve the respect accorded to them.
Mr MABENGA said it is disheartening that even after President BANDA unreservedly apologized over the fuel shortage, Chief NALUBAMBA decided to attack him through the press.
Chief NALUBAMBA is quoted in today’s Post Newspaper edition as having said President BANDA qualifies to be a liar.

The Chief is right and has got no regrets……………….
When chiefs like chiti mukulu praise the MMD and threaten their subjects not to vote for any other party, all is well for mabenga. When Chief Nalubamba talks differently from what he believes in, he is rebuked. Mr Mabenga go to hell with yo MMD coz of your double standards.
The Chief is very right. The old bally is a liar. FTJ is a THIEF meanwhile
#2 you are right! When Chitmukulu supports RB, all is ok. But when Nalubamba disagrees with RB, then he is accused of meddling in politics! We mbushi wee, we nkoko wee Mabenga!!!!!!!!
Viva Nalubamba. Join the martyrs Magande, Mpombo and Namakando.
“By calling the President a liar, he is calling himself a liar too because he is part and parcel of Government,” Gen Shikapwasha said.
I dont think that that loose moraled chief supporting Sata is a good sign. Infact we should ask the presiddent in waiting to distance himself from a cheif who can agree to sell his own peoples land for his own monetary gain. Had it not been for Mwanawasa and chizuka, the people of that chiefdom would be suffering severely now. That chief is a serious crook, lets not bring him closer to the pact, he has his own issues with chisuka. Shameless money seeking lowlife, his people and fellow chiefs dont respect him at all.
It started with Mpezeni, then Chitimukulu these were tolerable, now Nalubamba everyone stands!
Well here we go again, another character in a different dimension. The bottom line should be simple,” chief’s should distance themselves from politics with no obligation” as they are deeming there role as tribal leaders.politicians will come and go but there roles will still stand(kings). All there reminding us is that probably it’s time we evaluated there position in society? am sure it’s just a matter of time. UBUFUMU BUCHINDIKA UMWINE.
He’s right. FTJ is a kawalala
Ba Mabenga very corrupt
u mabenga chap, when u gave chitimukulu envelopes all was well…wats wrong wit nalubambe’s expression
This Chief is an irrational cadre who risks being confronted in political attrition. There is need to take the battle in his palace bedroom or undermine him into exit. His fellow Political cadres must converge on him without offering any sanctuary.Take the war into his palace deep into his bedroom.
Observer, what do you achieve if you shame someone into privacy
Observer, #13, what do you achieve by insulting someone into their shame? Provide tangible views for our intellectual adsorption, better still, an opinion worth fathoming from.
My take on the issue is: government decided to put chiefs in their wings whence they resolved to offer them stipends and mobile traction. A separate body should be responsible for chiefs affairs, not the government of the day. Anyone given money at no cost should feel a degree of allegiance to the provider. Therefore, chiefs will always be ridiculed publicly for any statement they issue.
I see more sense in Chief Bright Nalubamba’s statement than in Michael Mabenga’s.
Mabenga is bad a bootliker of RB.
I WILL BE SAD TO HAVE A FATHER OF MABENGA, MULONGOTI & RONNIE’S CALIBER OF REASONING. WHY NOT CONDEMN CHITIMUKULU ASWEL?
Some Zambian have lost directions really it is not question of insulting the sitting president that will help chief Nalubamba to solve his own problem but principled pipo know what is happening in Zambia to day.In 1991 the same pipo who are insulting Chiluba today are the same ones who championing the PF thinking that Sata is jesus. They will regret when they find that after all the past leaders would have been better than Sata.Sata knows what is looking for which many have not yet kown.We shud respect others so that to morrow they will respect you too.
Why is it that no one from MMD spoke out against Chitimukulu when he said what he did about Guy Scott? is it because he was speaking for the governemnt?
I agree with what #15 is saying and disagree totally with #7. The truth of the matter is, these so called ministers have now stopped thinking. There are not being innovate. No plans, nothing. And i side with #15. It is indeed very sad to such FATHERS like MABENGA, MULONGOTI, and SHIKAPWASHA. They are not thinking hence wrongly advising the GOVT. Viva NALUBAMBA.
When did “Kanitundila ned nditu” unreservedly apologize over the fuel shortage? He deliberately engineered the shortage to benefit from the shortage and line the pockets of his son, and that to me does not amount to apologising unreservedly. He is a liar, a stinking liar. And by the way, why did he expose his chima big bongo in Swaziland embarrassing us so badly? That man a such an embarassment to this country, sometimes when you hear him talking you just want to bury yourself away from the shame.
viva Bright Nalubamba..RB promised people fertiliser for K50,000 but where is the commodity upto now?he’s a typical liar..we are behind you..Mabenga is a corrupt leader and we dont and cant trust him with our monies…
UMUKULU TA PUSA AKEBO, APUSA AKABWE. Chief Nalubamba has seen something dangerous about RB and he is just voicing his opinion. If you have ears then hear. If you choose to be blind and walk into the fire that is also you’re choice.
#22 correction- the last part is “your choice”.
Maybe Mabenga has not come out clearly. The point I want to make is that if the Post did not put words in his mouth as Mmembe does with his unsuspecting puppets, Nalubamba is using abusive and insulting language for a person of his stature (if at all we can ascribe any stature to him). In contrast Mpezeni and Chitimukulu used dignified language befitting their royalty.
Yes RB HAS NO BRAINS. the sugar dady is just too d.u.l.l in the head. Imagine ukuya ikala ubwamba pa twanakashi utwaiche. Awe bane tukwate amano ba RB!!!!!!!!
Did they forget to give him a car or what?
