The door is looking like it is shut for Danny Hangunyu and Signs Chibambo as Herve Renard prepares to name is final 23 for the Africa cup.
Hangunyu of Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto in Angola and Chibambo from Nigerian club Heartlands have both failed to turn up for training camp in South Africa over the last five days.
Faz communications manager Erick Mwanza said the duo had not reported to camp by today and that the issue was now out of Faz’s hands.
Mwanza said Faz was especially a little concerned that Hangunyu had failed to honor a single call-up since October.
“His (Hangunyu’s) phone is now off,” Mwanza said. “We have called him for Cecafa, Cosafa and match against North Korea and he has failed to honor any of those call-ups
. “If anything it now falls on Danny Hangunyu.”
Meanwhile, Renard will over the coming hours today, Wednesday name his 23-member team.
And Zambia has two more friendly matches coming up one against Benin on January third either in Johannesburg or Bloemfontein.
The other will be played on January 9 in Johannesburg against South Korea before the team leaves for Angola on the 11th.

Let them stay where ever they are that way no way can their respective clubs bench them. Under achieving teams in the Africa cup have their national players see little play time in Europe. So it’s wise for them to fake emotional stress.
