Government has dismissed allegations by UPND president, HAKAINDE HICHILEMA that President RUPIAH BANDA is tribal.
Chief Government Spokesperson, RONNIE SHIKAPWASHA has described Mr HICHILEMA’s remarks as baseless and should be dismissed by all.
Lieutenant General SHIKAPWASHA says President BANDA has ensured that every ZAMBIAN has an equal stake in the development of the country regardless of their tribe.
He told ZNBC news in a statement this evening that President BANDA has demonstrated that he is a leader for all Zambians by being inclusive in his cabinet.
General SHIKAPWASHA also dismissed Mr. HICHILEMA’s remarks that Southern Province has no representation in President BANDA’s cabinet.
He said Southern Province Minister, DANIEL MUNKOMBWE and Livestock Minister, BRADFORD MACHILA are from Southern Province and asked Mr. HICHILEMA NOT to display his ignorance.
General SHIKAPWASHA has asked Mr. HICHILEMA to respect the office of the President and the Head of State.

I think Shikapwasha is trying to prove the point HH was highlighting to be correct. BRADFORD MACHILA is not an MP for a constituency in Southern Province, he is an MP for Kafue which is in Lusaka province while provincial ministers are deputy ministers, not CABINET MINISTERS! Have you ever wondered why every time a minister is absent, another minister from another ministry acts on his or her behalf, never the deputy minister stepping into the boss’s shoes? Now, with sleeping pilots having such an awful sense of geography and composition of cabinet , it shouldn’t come as a suprise that this nation is on auto pilot!

Daniel Munkombwe is not a cabinet minister but a simple provincial minister. We all know important cabinet positions and Livestock Minister is a sub ministry of the ministry of Agriculture. In short, there is NO Tongs in RB’s government, period!
RB is a very tribal man and he talks about the issue of tribes wherever he goes. He tells people of Eastern province not to vote people from other provinces.
Some issues are NOT worth commenting on by people in authority. Now the fact that the Sleeping General saw it fit to defend the tribal statement by HH means it must be true. Sleeping General, keep quiet and protect your boss as you are only escalating a subject that could have been read by very few non-sleeping bloggers.
While we are at it, can Shikapwasha give us the full composition of the cabinet. Its a fact that RB has appointed more Easteners than any other. We see this on TV every time he is swearing some officials…the bigger propotion is in most cases from the east.
Who does Shikapwasha think he is fooling. Can someone tell him that while he Shikapwasha is sleeping, the rest of the Zambians are awake!
Further, Monkombwe is an appointed MP, he does not represent anybody in Southern Province but the appointing authority, Bwezani himself. But in Bwezani’s tribally bigoted skull, Munkombwe is representing Tongas because he is Tonga. It’s the same like saying Sata is going to represent Nwacusa’s of Tanganyika where his father came from or tjhat Chiluba was representing Iturian pygmies in Zambia, a people with whom he shares very close roots and looks.
Now that the General has thrown a challenge, spokesman for HH group should just publish the list of all people RB has appointed and leave the rest to us to judge who is telling the truth.

The MMD and Minister Mangani can now focus there attention to the Constitutional provisions to be presented below that Mr PF/Sata MC and other then MMD entities used to bar Mr KK, 8 or so Hon Docs, of UNIP to stand for Zambian President in 1996 by enshrining them in the 1996 Constitution that we are currently using — even when the NCC recommendations have not been placed in our Constitution.

In light of the above, an investigation by Ministries of Home and Foreign Affairs must be conducted to establish the Citizenship of the father to Mr Sata MC. If it happens that Mr PF/Sata MC’s father is a Tanzanian, then Mr Sata MC must be charged for overriding the Zambian Constitution by nominating himself to stand for Zambian President in 2001, 2006 and 2008 elections when he knew exactly that he did not qualify after he helped MMD to bar Mr KK from standing for President in 1996 based on a premise that Mr KK’s father was a Malawian even though the mother was a full Zambian.

#29 Shalawambe, UPND was the strongest party in 2001 and they truelly won the elections but Kafupi robbed Mazka in day light and forced Mwanawasa into the seat hoping he would protect him from his modeeds – How wrong. Never underrate a man you wanted to kill, he probably knew it and you thought he was a cabbage. Well, its sad LPM died, at least he was humble enough to try and level the playing field. Well, poverty for non-productive people is a killer and for people like Chiluba who never expected that wealth on a silver plate, they would do anything to retain it. Look at KK who worked for his presidency, calm and collected, very stable mentally and enjoys international recognition. If Chiluba has charisma, let us see it on the International stage like other former Presidents.
