Government has no intentions of eliminating Mr Sata, Mangani

Home Affairs MINISTER HON.LAMECK MANGANI (R)

GOVERNMENT says Patriotic Front (PF) president Michael Sata’s claim of a plot to eliminate him is a figment of his imagination caused by political fatigue.

Minister of Home Affairs Lameck Mangani said government has no intentions of eliminating Mr Sata.

He has since advised Mr Sata to report the threats on his life to police so that they could investigate the matter.

Mr Mangani was reacting to Mr Sata’s claims that those in government are trying to eliminate him because he is a threat to their hold on power.

“Mr Sata is a political comedian who is suffering from political fatigue. I feel sorry for him because he looks tired these days. If he looks tired now, how is he going to cope with the hard times coming in the run-up to the 2011 general elections?” Mr Mangani asked.

He said Mr Sata does not have the stamina to campaign for the 2011 general elections. Mr Mangani said Mr Sata is psychologically defeated and as a result fears his own shadow.

“No-one is after Mr Sata’s life because he is not a factor. We know that he cannot win an election…he just fears his own shadow. If Mr Sata collapses today because of fatigue, we will still take him to the hospital because no-one is interested in having him dead,” he said.

Mr Mangani advised Mr Sata to use this Easter period to reflect on his political career.

“He should seriously reflect on whether he should continue with his political career or retire,” he said.

And Mr Mangani said government would not relent in its efforts to find out whether or not Mr Sata was imprisoned for criminal activities.

“If this is a way of diverting government’s attention from the 1960 case, it will not work. Despite Mr Sata’s claims, we will intensify investigations so that the truth comes out,” he said.

“The man is tired. His claims just show that he has run out of ideas, that is why he is hallucinating. If his life is under any threat, he should report the matter to the police. But I know that he is just speculating and this is typical of him.

“Hard times are coming, so we need hard men. If he shows signs of tiredness now, he will not reach 2011.

We wouldn’t want anything to happen to Mr Sata because he is one of the political comedians we love,” Mr Mangani said.

  1. Its too early for Sata to start hallucinating. Whatever is overwhelming and confusing him is nothing but elementary acrobats phase 1 can have.We all pray his comedian life could live to ecounter phase 5 theatrics. In election season MMD makes no pledge to take any opponent for a cousin. Sata’s cousinship is with RB in their private spheres and other none core political platforms. Presidential and parlaimentary elections are serious undertaking to MMD. This is why MMD and friends of MMD plough in Billions of Kwacha to facilitate the all sufficient and successfull campaign.Decision 2011 will be a stand alone historic campaign ever seen and poor Sata should spiritually, psychologically and physically prepare for all episodes. He better go back replacement of his heart pace setting metal.

  2. Sata’s cousinship is with RB in their private spheres and other none core political platforms.Certainly its not with the core MMD agenda.MMD will offer no kids groves but a spirited and cordinated campaign. Presidential and parlaimentary elections are serious undertaking to MMD. This is why MMD and friends of MMD plough in Billions of Kwacha to facilitate the all sufficient and successfull campaign.

  3. “Hard times are coming, so we need hard men. If he shows signs of tiredness now, he will not reach 2011.

We wouldn’t want anything to happen to Mr Sata because he is one of the political comedians we love,” Mr Mangani said.

Well said boss. We are ready to battle and this loser is desperately looking for any excuse in the book to find reason to get a new heart attack and avoid elections, but we have the machinery in place to evacuate him to the best hospital in the world, have him treated, bring him back and nicely whip his backside in 2011 elections and hopefully we retire him forever this time around.

  4. Should Sata’s fragile heart rapture again due overbearing stress and fear for Taiwanese debtors, irrespective of his natural ungreatifulness, RB will evacuate him. With Mr.Sauzande, ChamaChakomboka and Maximo gone, the country need all of Sata comedies in the political arena. He just need to divorce on some concubines Bishop Mpundu is presenting him.

  5. Look at what our friends in Kenya are doing. This is what we should be doing in Zambia learn from our friends. Story is on BBC.

The Kenyan parliament has approved a draft constitution, after nearly 20 years of acrimonious debate.
The new constitution goes to the Kenyan people in a national referendum later this year. The document provides for greater checks on presidential powers and more regional devolution.
As part of a power-sharing deal to end deadly riots following elections in December 2007, it was agreed that a new constitution would be written. The previous constitution was criticised for concentrating too much power in the hands of the president.

  6. Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when the words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent. Is Sata such a big factor that every govt is always womdering what is going to say next and how they should respond? Just making Sata more popular!

  7. The draft constitution also recommends:
    • power be devolved to a senate and a network of local counties
    • the president should no longer be able to appoint judges
    • MPs appointed to a cabinet position should be obliged to give up their parliamentary seat

  8. Indeed old man Sata is now scared of his own shadow. Who would honestly want to eliminate an old man with a weak heart like Sata’s. The old man should just slow down and retire back to Mpika. It’s surprising for an old man who so easily gets excited by playing to the gallery of the opposition and bitter Post newspaper. Slow down shikulu please, your heart is weak. Do you surely want to fail for the 4th time in a row?[-(

  9. “If this is a way of diverting government’s attention from the 1960 case, it will not work. Despite Mr Sata’s claims, we will intensify investigations so that the truth comes out,” he said.

I hope he is just politicking, otherwise its not worth it to do 1960 investigations.

  10. Yes please, we need the comedian alive, lets all agree Sata is chama chakomoboka reincarnate. We wouldnt want him dead, the political climate would become childish if HH remains the only opposition leader. Sata stop hallucinating, no one wants you dead. We love you as an opposition leader, but never ever in plot one. Happy easter Mr PF/Sata.

  11. Mr. Sata are you the only opposition president? We have Hakainde H, Edith N, Clive C etc who are infact better than you, why should one think of eliminating you and leave the others? Ba mudala you are tired and you by now that longer is the distance where you have come from but very short is it where you are going. Just slow down big man apart from political war we love you so much ba tata. We do not want anything bad to happen to you, these are just politics which people have failed to handle here in Zambia. God bless you.

  12. MMD stooges just shut your crap, why should Sata retire and RB continue who is even older than Sata.

  13. Mangani, how can Sata report threats on his life to the police when threatening violence is not a crime in Zambia?
You say Sata is too old and tired and should retire (true), what about Rupiah? Mangani, is this what it means to be a loyal dog, you just open your mouth to do your master’s voice without thinking?

  14. The last time I check Mangani was a teacher. Chances are he could have started as Job on training. Wouldn’t take anything he says to heart. His level of reasoning is very shallow. Viva Sata and Viva PF

  15. BOLA PANSHI.how can one dismiss what the presido sata said when the whole govt machinery is up in arms against sata for merely being an opposition party leader.if this our definition of democracy in zed .then democracy is a misnomer.anyway they fear of sata is real except you must embrace it as constitutional fear-the fear that sata can remove the mmd govt constitutionaly .my hope therefore is for u to defeat him using the same constttution means and not by turning to all the means u are employing .we fought kaunda hard for multi party politics but now we are failing to sustain it.

  16. Good Afternoon

Reading Mr. Mangani’s remarks, I can’t help but notice traces of cynicism against Mr. Sata, which at the same time is a arrogant way of degrading his large group of supporters. IMO a professional civil servant like Mr. Mangani is not supposed to utter statements that would in any way dishonor a top ranking politician or aspiring presidential candidate for that matter.

As for Mr. Sata, it must have dawned on him by now that in order to get anywhere near State House he will have to make so many compromises and submit to so many humiliations that in the end he even becomes indistinguishable from the very “kaponya” image his party followers are said to personify.

  17. #4 MMD Chief Bootlicker, maybe you should change your name to Dirty Asslicker. You belong to the archives, with your reasoning of Sata being Old and sending him to the best hospital in the world. My foot, the best hospital to which even Humpty should be going for his sicknesses should be Provincial Hospitals. You should have reason to believe that come 2011 Change is inevitable, as no amount of propaganda will derail the boat sailing through this time around. We all know and have seen on several foru HUMPTY DUMPTY ASLEEP. Now that’s a very tired OLD MAN Not SATA. For your information come 2011 be it Humpty Dumpty, Kafupi or anyone else, they will be treated in the Hospitals in Zambia. We all know Mangani is talking in order to protect THIEVE’s, but come 2011 all that stole will in…

  18. By the authority entrusted to me, do hereby certify that Mr Michael Chilufya Sata, who expressing delusions of grandeur (100 days promise), paranoid and persecutory feelings (they want to eliminate me), fits of rage and temper tantrums (seen on utube video pocking a BBC reporter and walking out on VOA phone in), previous chain smoker and one heart attack, previous thyroid problems, serial husband and sirerer of two outside wedlock (not good role model for faithfulness and abstinence in fight against HIV), is hereby declared unfit for Zambian Republican Presidency. The most damning of these is paranoia. All dictators in history have suffered from this. It is a very dangerous symptom for a powerful man to have. Zambia, you have been warned.

  19. Ba Mangani, don’ t speak so loudly as if you have already won another mandate to run the affairs of this country with your RB. If truly, Sata and the Pact in general is not a threat to you, why does it cause you sleepless nights to investigate a case which happened in the preindependence era ? Do not pretend that you are confortable, you are not and everyone can clearly see this. Even your MMD bootlicker, whoever he may be, you both sound to be people who still live in the past when MMD still enjoyed a lot of support countrywide. Just wait and see, 2011 is just around the corner and believe you me, some of you will collapse on that day. Don’ t just open your mouth loudly in order to be heard by RB otherwise, you are draining your diminishing energy for nothing with your fake govt

  20. Mr. Sata is a factor, I am scared for his life. A reasoning Zambian knows that the only solution to a thieving government is to kick them out, that is truly coming. He might not be the best candidate but he would definitely be better than Air Zambia and commissioner Canada.

  21. Does anyone know when he/she will die?
Death comes at anytime, it knows no age or race.
Reading between the lines Mangani assumes Sata will die earlier than him.
We had people laughing at late Mazoka’s health, if I may ask, where are they now?

  22. He should be more worried of the marriage of convenience – even HH too. That is where the real threat is. More so with the absence of clarity on who will lead.

  23. Ba Chief Bootlicker and yr group if Sata is no factor and finished let the people decide in 2011.Ba Chief Bootlicker do remember saying u will bang Solwezi?

  24. Longlive Sata you are our next president we will vote for you we have proved you to be the rightman to take zambia out of this confusion

  25. Veteran / SENIOR CITIZEN in TROUBLE

A US federal grand jury charged a West Mifflin man with using other people’s names and Social Security numbers to file false tax returns and get tax refund anticipation loans.

Zambian national, Eric Sinyangwe, 37, is charged with 28 counts of false claims, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, according to court documents unsealed Tuesday.

Sinyangwe, used the business name Oubani Taxes to get the names and Social Security numbers in 2008, prosecutors say. If convicted of all counts, Sinyangwe faces up to 200 years in prison

  26. No. 4 Ala tata ba Bootlicker, even your head is entirely deeped into the ass of MMD.Mukanya pwetete pwetete when things turn the other way round. Mukafwaya no kubelama mu pitlatrine becoz that can be the only and best place for you.:d/\:

  27. The entire OP and govt security wings are under intense pressure to come up with ways of silencing Sata. This is not false but the truth. Many MMD cadres within the civil service are delusioned by how the plans are ending up in the hands of the oppositions. It is very much clear that people working in the civil service are tired of intimidation by MMD cadres running the Civil service as a result they are leaking information to the opposition. KK faced the same situation and MMD is facing the same. Come may 2011 MMD will be running like a headless chicken. Sata has people within the intelligence circles who inform him what this corrupt govt is planning. Chiluba survived in KK era by inches if it was not the OP leaking the plan today we would have no kafupi. GM Kabwe Mines was the victim.

  28. Mangani, you were a teacher, you quit and worked in a cotton company before becoming a chipata central Member of parliament. When did you learn how to manage a ministry such as the Ministry of home affairs? I think something is missing in the way you are investigating the 1960’s case. Such a thing is an heard of in this world.

  29. Mangani, PF President MCS did not say government wants to eliminate him. He said Rupiah Banda wants him eliminated. It seems Mr mangani does not know what government is. Mr mangani, when you say govt, you are really to being too broad. Please, if you know how to synthesize, you would need to narrow your spectrum. Next time ask some high school teacher to help you narrow it to some specific department or individual.

  30. I am told the ministry of home affairs have hired an interpreter to help during Ministerial meetings because of mangani. He addresses officers in Nyanja. Is that true?

  31. HH had a meeting with sponsors that also paid for father bwalyas talk show.
Post is trying very hard and has been for a long while trying to discredit rb corruption fight because evidence has been found of nchito brothers involvement in corrupt practices.
Oil deal scandals being revealed are only so because others lost tenders and their connections thrown in the toilet, mmembe and nchito again.
Maureen has a lot of info, this is why she has backers and enemies that are quiet.
there are a lot of cover ups and rb is so silly he doesnt even know much of it..
Huawei deal with zamtel, what happpened maureen? why did they get paid but the job not finished?
Why is the zesco optics being grabbed?? chi rb stop sleeping!!
Who is calling the shots in the new administration??

    Keeping you…

  32. hh, sata, rb, upnd, mmd, fdd, and others have big supporters, international donors and business people even entire governments…why for all this time they did not ask for development….they just want the power, the control and then what??? why didnt sata ask his taiwanese counterparts to bring us development that just putting oney in his pocket? why are we just having influx of chinese instead rb asking for develpment without strings from the chinese?? fdd dont just blab blab so you get the donor money, father bwalya now is also a party, let your donors build a bridge, rehabilitate a road, open a factory, employ 300 people…these small small things can make big difference, if you want support just open a plant for hiace bus spareparts so they are cheapened…people are employed

  33. On “The man is tired. His claims just show that he has run out of ideas, that is why he is hallucinating” Mr PF/Sata MC is indeed tired and has run out of ideas but he may not be hallucinating in case he is thinking about what MMD of then President Chiluba and himself as Chiluba’s right-hand man was the one that had a government which had a record of operating in a time when many of its opposing politicians were killed mysteriously.

I hope the man is not confessing the crimes against humanity he may have done when he was in government with Mr FTJ Chiluba — dark things he may have down that could now following him as shadows of his deeds.

    Have a blessed day all.
    _
Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added…

  34. On another note followinga POST Newspaper story, the“Don’t damage this vehicle before I use it after 2011,” Sata was heard telling President Banda” is very bad English from Mr PF/Sata MC and this confirms what Mr FTJ Chiluba said in his press conference that the man Sata MC can not write any sensible English and therefore how do you honestly expect a didn’t to rule Zambia effectively as President with this type of handicap uneducated behaviour?

I therefore ask all normal Zambian voters to vote for real men who are well prepared to rule Zambia, e.g., president and 2011 presidential candidate HH.

    Have a blessed day all.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

  35. Ba Sata should stop dreaming of being eliminated. This man has very little to offer to this country. He has been in all the governments at senior level. He should feel free to move without 10 bodyguards surrounding him.

  36. Ba Sata should stop dreaming of being eliminated. This man has very little to offer to this country. He has been in all the governments at senior level. He should feel free to move without 10 bodyguards surrounding him.

  37. Sata is not Dreaming guys, MMD is so scared of him because he digs Deeper for Truth, and them guys do not sleep when Sata is on Air. Guys, to tell the truth, which Politicians or Political party make MMD shake? Let us face the truth,

  38. How long has it been since the entire GRZ has been tasked to find “goods” on Sata?

That goes to show that the Pact is a thorn in the sensitive part of the MMD political anatomy.

  39. Mr. Sata worked with KK, he was his informer, with all his lies and was the last man to leave UNIP to join MMD, so KK knows Sata well and can not trust him. He worked with FTJ, he was his informer, with all his lies and was the last man to leave MMD and form his party, FTJ knows sata well and can not trust him. He is working with his party and says no one can remove him from there as a president because that is his party he started it, he has castigated and insulted his MPs with his lies, and now his MPs can not trust him. Do you know why they called him King Cobra? Make a mistake put sata in power, mwatukwa imwe, ifikoti you will not count them, all this from ba Sata. Lesa twafweni.
