The People of Southern and Northern provinces have refuted MMD National Chairman Michael Mabenga’s statement that UPND and PF leaders Michael Sata and Hakainde Hichilema betrayed the people by forming a pact.
A spot on interview conducted by QFM revealed that the people are in full support of the PF/UPND pact.
Those spoken said the decision by the two different political parties to form a pact for the interest of serving the Zambians is never a betrayal to them.
They argued that Zambia is a peaceful nation under the slogan of ‘One Zambia One Nation’ meaning the issue of tribe has nothing to do with those working together for the sake of national development.
They said Mr. Michael Mabenga’s statement is just a political propaganda aimed at weakening the PF/UPND pact.
They urged the pact leaders never to be concerned with statements from the ruling MMD, especially from the MMD National Chairman, Michael Mabenga, whom they described as a desperate cadre.
They have vowed never to allow themselves to be cheated by anyone, adding that the MMD government has failed the people for too long.

That is what we have been saying. Our people by now know how differentiate truth from mere propaganda. They can be listening to your propaganda and probably even sing you praises but the fact is that within their hearts, souls and minds they know the truth. So let Mabenga, George Kunda, Mwanga and R.B continue to politic, they would be disappointed come next year.

To make matters worse, the tongas’ memory is fresh that in pre-independence politics they compromised on Nkumbula for KK so that this time it becomes their turn.
Tongas vividly know that Sata can never sell through at national level which automatically leaves them in another decade of opposition politics with MMD heading for its 25th year reign in power. “The Tongas relationship with Bembas is now a case of Horse and rider” with Tonga being the horses.
The smart people of Southern province know that Mazoka’s vision has been shredded and trashed by senseless Hakainde. Its an open fact that Hichilema has now agreed to be vice-president of the UPND/ Patriotic Front Pact allowing the PF dictator, Michael Sata to be the presidential candidate in the 2011 general elections.
MMD are shameless in their dealings. They wanted a pact with HH and when he refused RB started attacking HH. I was taken aback withthe comment last that RB made about HH’s family Saying his wife was Mwenye ‘Indian’. What is wrong of being Indian Mwenye. Mabenga is a disgrace himself and has nothing to say. He should start packing his bags to exit as PACT will be the new government come 2011.

It would be nice to see Mr President RB Banda firing his MMD’s National Chairman Michael Mabenga from his Cabinet for issuing tribal divisive statements that are against the “one Zambia one nation” motto where nationalism is highlighted.

I am not taking sides but I think that the report by QFM is shallow, and if I said childish I would be offending our intelligent children. Who and how many did they interview? And where, Kasama, Mpika, Choma, Sinazongwe….where? And by Zambian standards we are supposed to debate this hollow statement …..nothingness actually. Are we that hollow as a people?
