United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema says Second Republican President, Fredrick Chiluba’s smile following the Lusaka High Court ruling on the London Judgment is an indication that the fight against corruption in the country is over.
Mr Hichilema said the focus should not be on Dr Chiluba but rather on the judiciary and the MMD government which he says allows a dual justice system to exist in the country.
The UPND leader said the blame should be on the justice system which favours those who are friends with the MMD government.
Mr Hichilema called on the judiciary to examine itself and its relevance to society.
He said he could not see any value in the judiciary when Zambians have nowhere to go when they were aggrieved.
Mr Hichilema said the fight against corruption in Zambia is over and called on Zambians to understand and accept the matter at hand.
Dr Chiluba told journalists in an interview that he is genuinely smiling following the Lusaka High Court ruling on the London Judgment.

Am happy for KAFUPI…no one will fight corruption ..we all corrupt people .even HH is corrupt too.people do not understand ,UBUTEKO LIBALA LYACHALO .
Really sad to see our ‘once upon a time’ beloved country go to the dogs just at a snap of the fingers
RB should be sued, hopefully in the London High Court, for getting votes in 2008 by false pretence. He promised to continue with the Levy legacy of fighting corruption, but has instead worked extremely hard to frustrate the fight
=> disbanded task force
=> best friends with enemy of the state, chief thief
=> gets rid of genuine Attorney General Mumba Malila
=> gets rid of the best prosecutor Mutembo Nchito
=> confesses that rejection of the London Judgement is in favour of his govt and accepts since govt also accepts judgements that are against it
#1,there is still hope. There is evidence for Kafuti but not for the rest. When was HH in court for Corruption charges? I missed that one.
LT you are liars.
This not HH intended to say. What he meant was the fight against corruption in this country is otherwise irrelevant when the judiciary compromise with offenders of the favors the ruling classes.
Our justice system is against the fight and it means any case that goes before it is carried towards there aspiration.
The judicary is a strong tool in any noble society and if abused, the way this government has shown to have done, it can bring anarchy. There is so much rhetoric about the nobility or sacredness of the work of the judiciary.
Did anyone see the latest Picture of the CHIEF THIEF in the The Post? 2011 might be too far for him
RB has never been commnited to the fight against corruption and he will never be.
This fight under RB HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER EXIST.
We shd under stand that he simply used the legacy of LPM which happened to include the graft fight in order for him to shift plot one now that he has achieved what he wanted what doyou expect from him? As for me i expect N O T H I N G!
Stop taking Zambians to courts in other countries sort yourselves out in Zambian courts, so you messed up leave Chiluba alone we are tired of this issue move on and yes he has all the reasons to smile.
# 1 Lokombwe ulichisushi sana. I hate Zambians like u who can not emulate the better life and and better systems you see outside Zambia. By God I rebuke such uselessness in Zambians. Dipak Patel alsways says only 10 percent of Zambians are serious about the destiny of this country. Zambia can be a prosperous country with equal opportunities for all our children if we all stood up against a leadership such as what we see now. Whoever thinks like Lokombwe, bonse mulifipuba!!!
AS LONG AS GOD LIVES CHILUBA ONEDAY LL BE ANSWERABLE TO THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA. HE CAN DRIBBLE PAST SOME GOALS BUT NOT GOD`S GOAL.
Zedians don’t cease to amaze me. Is this the so called ‘independence’ our forefathers fought and bled for? Honestly speaking we would have been a very healthy and prosperous Rhodesia today under colonial rule. What a shame.

We can Talk and Talk ,the biggest problem is Our Opposition Leaders,How many Politcal parties do we have? The Only way MMD or RB can be defeated is to form One Oppositin Political Party. Then fight Corruption ,RB will never do it.Even MMD won’t because they want to remain in power and to earn some Votes in Luapula is to support Chiluba.
to be cont.
#12 i am really shocked at your shallow mind !
did you share the loot with chiluba?
mind you judge Hamaundu did not say chiluba was innocent of the charges which GEORGE kUNDA convicted him of at the london high court .the judge simply said there was no law to enable him register the judgement in mother zambia.
In other words KAFUPI remains as guilty as cain and was sucessfully proscuted and convicted by our own red-liped WHATS THE NAME AGAIN —-GEORGE KUNDA.
AND HE WILL SURELY PAY BACK NO MATTER WHAT –ONE DAY
why dont you take chansa kabwela to london court. Dwanzi HH did you expect FTJ to cry after being cleared by the courts. HH you stole from zambian pipo thru luanshya mines, lima bank and mosi o tunya hotel. you used inside data to buy off assets from these parastatals. you are even failing to look after your workers at coin masters. were have you taken the money you ill got i guess into campaigns thinking you gonna plough back if you become president
“Mr. Hichilema has many issues surrounding his leadership such as his involvement in the mines in Luanshya where some miners died without getting their terminal benefits. He used tribalism, corruption and violence to get to the leadership of UPND”.
“Mr. Hichilema’s conduct at the Tribal and Corrupt UPND convention in 2006 is well documented by the Post Newspapers, Times of Zambia and other national papers. During a campaign rally in the 2006 Presidential elections in Kaoma district Mr. Hichilema’s tribalism was clear when he said that people should not vote for Hon. Sikota because he had teamed up with Mr. Sata and the Bembas in PF.
“On September 15, 2006 the Post newspaper questioned how Mr. Hakainde Hichilema acquired some of the property and houses that belonged to Lima Bank employees. His involvement in the privatization of mines in Luanshya is clouded in suspicious circumstances with some miners dying before getting terminal benefits.
“The people of Zambia should not be fooled into supporting the likes of tribal leaders. The people of Zambia still remember the infamous tribal slogan at the UPND convention of “Only a Tonga can lead UPND”.
Does any one out there feel, it is time to change government come 2010..And if we change govt what major policies should be addressed the first 90 days
Mr Hichilema is rich today because of having benefited from the liquidation of many institutions in the country at the expense of the majority Zambians.
Mr Hichilema liquidated the then Lima Bank and benefited greatly e.g. he bought a mansion at K40,000 from Lima Bank.
With all the mess in Zambia, I think 90 days is actually a good indicator of things becoming good once PF/UPND goes in govt!
First Month –> Arrest all the thieves and unleash the quick prosecution they used on the opposition. Request all the stolen money – £100M to GRZ
Second Month —>Investigate all the dodge Privatization. Fine all the Investor who where giving handout. Another £100M into GRZ coffers.
3rd Month: Evaluate all GRZ contracts, especially RDA and recover £100M.
All in total 90 days miracle will earn GRZ £300M!! This is achievable!!
#22 you are the most useless person ever lived on earth, your tribal remarks shows that only Bemba should rule this country ,if HH was Bemba every one would agree that his is the best man for Zambia. All the parties in Zambia that are headed by non other than a Bemba is a tribal party.all tribes are important. Bemba and its dialect make up of about 40 % the other 60 % can gang up and prevent any Bemba speaking person from becoming a president.we don’t want what happened to Kenya to be here.Be sensitive to other tribes as well
# 23 I SALUTE YOU
Gentlemen the pact is over and HH should just spare us the anguish of contemplating being ruled by one Michael Sata. With Sata in State House we are finnished. I am encauraging HH to go the Milupi way of getting to Parliament and test political leadership and prove that he can deliver politically. We already know he can deliver economically. Rupiah Banda offcourse is one of the most corrupt (second to FJT) and useless presidents Zambia has ever had but Sata would be worse off. We are better off in the wilderness wondering like a headless chicken under Rupiah than have Michael Sata as President.
#24chichi-This chap is not even Bemba. Remember Adolf Hitler described the Aryan Race as those of blonde Hair and tall stature of which qualities he did not possess and neither was he German. This no 22 could be MMD Tonga trying to spoil our good relations.
# 27,my dad was bemba whose dad was bemba and mother lozi whose dad was lenje and mother tonga, whose dad was luvale and mother namwanga
It’s very pity for our country now,hw can chiluba said tht publicly anyway it’s true that the fight against corruption in the country is over.when i saw chiluba awe chikaba napwa kuti amifwila it’s better mwakalekafye kaifwila.
# 28VJ Rigger – mmm What a mixture kwati fisashi
Chiluba the thief is going to TB Joshua to thank him and donate more so that the wife is free.
Chiluba is happy like any person in the country…which is good and iam happy for him…….Let Chiluba smile and a smile is part of health,,,,I for one i like Chiluba very much….He is more wise than this so called HH and his friend…Chiluba is not careless in talking and his speeches are too good to understand than others…other poeple’s speeches you can even guess that speech is from HH or His friend because of the language of insults…HH was a good man but i don’t know why this time ..all i guess because of Sata….?
no.28 VJ Rigger: no wonder you are eccentric. Now get it in your head that HH did not steal otherwise RB and his regime would be all over him. FTJ stole hung sums of money and was convicted in a court of law. RB is shielding FTJ from prosecution in exchange for political favors. If you are a genuine Zambian you wouldn’t approve of such behaviour from your leaders. This is the issue at hand not your mad tribal tantrums. While you are wasting your time supporting a corrupt leader(RB) he is busy stealing and hoping to learn from FTJ how to escape prosecution by feigning illness and prolonging court cases while praying for a leader he imposed on people to die. The man is evil. He deliberately imposed someone who was ill as president so that he dies while his case is in court.
33 you are mad…your madness will take you no where
With all this confusions who will save us kanshi? who is worth being in State House come 2011?
# 33,waingila muli conspiracy theory nomba ka?
34 etc: if telling the truth is equivalent to being mad then I take your statement as a compliment. some of you can’t see beyond your noses or you are too compromised(beneficiaries of the system) to see what is wrong, so someone has to spell out issues for you to understand what is at stake.
Never mind tweets like VJ rigger who’s jealous of smart HH.using professional judgement ,skills, techniques to acquire wealth is reserved for smart guys in the room but buying suits, shoes, stealing people’s wifes is for disgrantled men like Chiluba and VJ Rigger–God forbid–are cursed to hell.
HH na politics yachi Dunu………………………………………:)>-
#26, HH can not and should not stand as an MP, if that is what you mean by “the Milupi way”. Look at BY and Saki, leaders of parties all but in name only. HH can not demote himself to those levels, being a constituency rep instead of national rep. But for him to rule Zed one day he has to be patient, even if it means serving as Sata’s deputy. We bembas say “ukupoka icinsenda kunkoko kunakilila”, ifintu nii pa easy…HH has what RB and Sata do not have and that is the gift of time (provided he’s not taken by the good Lord before his time) and he can afford to be patient.
Chiluba has the right to have the last laugh! Keep smiling you have gone through alot.
#16. But, that’s the worst side of HH, including the fact that he became party president on a tribal ticket. This is where the pact would lose abundantly if they fielded HH for 2011 presidency. I don’t think this chaps in MMD don’t know the facts about HH’s wealth. In fact they are just waiting for him to be appointed and the cat will be set loose. All the documentary evidence they have on HH will be on billboards. If I were HH, I would rather wait to see to see the damage they have on him by first working in public office as vice president. Carelessly, thinking he will have an easy swim through is naivety. Wait and see. Whilst I was in Zambia I overhead chaps saying some of us decided to remain…
…poor but safe. But, some of our collegues such as HH became clever and played some tricks to buy companies. Now, that was on the streets. The rest is for people to guess what is happening or being gathered against HH. Don’t get me wrong, I have got nothing against HH. After all I don’t even live in Zambia to know exactly what really happens. However, if he is appointed to lead the pact into 2011 I would urge the people to vote for him. GOOD LUCKY YOU GUYZ.
Zambia is a laughing stock because we do not know how to do things.
Do not loose hope, God oversees his people and this court case has exposed alot to many of us. Am sure with the purported Heart disease a fraction of our people would have thought Mwanawasa was not good for sending KAFUPI to Jail. We now know KAFUPI does not have a heart problem, and we know very well he will not feign that sickness anymore. Everything happens for a reason, it’s a matter of time and the Zambian people will have the last laugh.
On “Mr Hichilema said the fight against corruption in Zambia is over and called on Zambians to understand and accept the matter at hand… [Mr FTJ] Chiluba told journalists in an interview that he is genuinely smiling following the Lusaka High Court ruling on the London Judgment” and in addition, Mr FJT Chiluba told the Nation and World when his so-called wife Regina Mwanza or so was jailed that it is a passing phase for his wife to be in prison.
I hope all sensible Zambians will rally behind Mr FJT Chiluba’s neighbour in Kabulonga, president HH, in the upcoming presidential elections so that the mighty UPND can form GRZ Administration and then bring sanity to all three wings of GRZ.
Have a blessed day all.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His…
Umuntu Mutwe I agree with you 100% LOKOMBWE is probably a minister’s child.
Those who are saying HH stole something from zambians, we do not believe in you anymore because all this long we have been waiting for you to forward these cases to task force but to no avail, you are just shouting when it is time for elections in the background. Therefore keep your allegations to yourselves or better still if you want go and hung yourselves. HH, Milupi and Chipimo jr are the only answers to change our zambia. Take it or leave it we are going forward with our change process bane, just wait time will tell.
It is time you burried the hatchet. Jesus said he who has no sin let him be the first to cast it on the woman. Bring something better, say news of how to develop Zambia.
#48. I also commented on HH’s wealth. I did not say he stole money. My main concern was and still is, at the rate MMD is operating selectively accusing and prosecuting opponents, HH would be minced meat to them. They seem to be waiting for him and according to my own observation and the news reaching my desk MMD are not scared about HH as a presidential candidate. The thing is the pact losing this election will be terrible a lot of individuals. Some of whom will be disappearing one by one. RB has become a replica of Robert Mugabe. After 2011 should the pact lose, he will be worse. Just wait and see.
MMD fears Sata as they have nothing to pin on him. They have tried (since Levy Mwanawasa) but completely failed. He seems to be intouchable along those lines.
The opposition in Zambia needs to go for training. Instead of attacking the govt on bad governance they have also focused on Chiluba who is past president. There is no time for that, the opposition should start campaigning and thats what the MMD are doing. Chiluba is just a distraction.
