  1. As much as am not supportive of domestic violence, GBM has done well to rescind his decision. Its alot of taxpayers money going down the drain. We cannot afford another by-election.

  2. yaba…just when I was opening a mosi bottle all the way from Zambia to celebrate…only to read this craapp. Now my drunkeness will be negative with reflections of this corn buffoon back in parliament. It is more expensive to Zambia to keep this sorry fat excuse for a man, than doing a by-election. There goes my good mood….

  3. Resigning was the best decision he made the first time round though i would have rather he said he was doing so because he has family matters to sort out and not his business.

Are you telling me his business has picked up in less tthan 24 hours kwena am coming back to start one \:d/:o:-?

  4. Lusaka Times, earlier on today on another thread when I talked about GBM’s turn around, my comment did not appear, I just wondered why, was it because you thought I had beaten you to it?

  5. Typical PF flip flopping. He is just behaving like his leader the cobra. This is the kind of decisive leadership we should expect from the ‘government in waiting’.

  6. Being an MP in Zambia is not, for many, to serve BUT an opportunity to have access to official corruption! It is a very principled person who would resign.

  7. mmchsxxxp! we had already accepted the resignation. But agree Zed cant afford any more bye ellections but PF need to lower the guys profile and keep him out of high ranking positions

  8. We need serious leadership in this country, what we are seeing is a mockery of leadership. Perhaps he has only learnt that Parliament is officially opening next week for the last session.

  9. :-? In Bizzare twists of the Zambian monarchy wow ! He was on the path of redemption then this mess. Anyway whatever happened to the Heritage party.

  10. :(( Lord Jesus we cry raise leaders up in Zambia that shall serve the people. From Battering people to stealing our money.

  11. If our parliament was run by a serious Speaker with clear ethics rules this man could have been out whether he liked it or not! But the MMD are afraid of parliamentary reform because they know that most of their members will be found wanting.

  12. While a by-election would be costly, it’s more expensive to pay such a lousy MP when another more effective and considerate Zambian can do a better job. Opportunity cost of keeping an MP that is more interested in his business than that of the people he is supposed to represent is very high.

  13. I support GBM’s move. Why create a bye election and spend so much money, when we all know it’s not necessary. GBM should just take a back seat between now and 2011, but we will not adopt hm next year. We will leave Kasama to 2011, while we stratergise on getting Kafulafuta, Mpulungu and Chilanga for now!! Viva Pact….

  14. Whats wrong with this Obese man. He initially insulted the people of Kasama Central by saying that they are of less value than his business and now he wants the job back. Make up you mind little elephant.

  15. WHY ARE YOU PIPO BOTHERED SATA AND GBM ARE ALL COMEDIANS AND WE ARE CAUGHT IN IT AGAIN THEY JUST PLAYED ON YO MIND TO GET PUBLIC SYMPATHY IF SATA WAS SERIOUS HE MUST HAVE EXPELLED THIS PI.G. NINSHI CHI GBM IS INSULTING THE KASAMA PIPO TO CONSIDER HIS BUSINESS PARAMOUNT THAN TO SERVE THE PIPO THAT VOTED 4 HIM. CI COLOUR FUMA WE MPAKA. ANY WE TETI MPAPE BA SATA TABA SERIOUS HE IS A COMMEDIAN SO AM NO SURPRIZED JUST SPARE OUR TAX PAYERS MONEY. THIS COUNTRY NEEDS SERIOUS AND COMMITED LEADERSHIP NOT THESE JOKERS, VIVA HH OR LUBINDA

  16. Rescinding decisions in politics started with Super Ken, first as republican president and then later on as UNIP president. We haven’t seen Lucy or Filimoni resign. Viva GBM!

  17. We need to amend the constitution so that such people are made to pay for the byelections instead of wasting public funds like we did in Luena.
GBM is one of the best amongst the worst politicians. He should have resigned in the public interest!
We have a lot of “gramophone” type of politicians who pretend to be “CD players” in Zed !

  18. Quite alright, this p.u.n.k can have money but I think he is an illiterate chap, kabova type just like Willie Nsanda, Richard Kazala, etc.Sometimes I wonder, how did people like Kazala manage to become Ministers. Go to Chingola and see how the young boy misbehaves, no morals at all.

  19. What is the real situation with GMB sager? On which side of the fence is he? Or is he too fat to go on either side of the fence (over the barbed wire fence). I wonder where his balls are.

  20. Good decision GBM,you have saved us a lot of money that was to be wasted on the bye-election..,Next time though DON’T make any decisive decision when you are emotional, angry OR hungry..grow up big man on your behaviour..!!

  21. #20
I agree with you 200%.The opportunity cost of having GBM as an MP is way too high to that of holding a by-election.However,MMD has found political capital out of his irrationality and they cane him heavily if he goes for re-election in 2011.

  22. He knows he needs that salary n gratuity from being an MP. At least that saves the country money. He acted like a baby by acting without thinking!
Despite the billions he has, money will always be money n he just has 2 av it. Join boxing next tym u feel like punching ur wife

  23. Mwamba Nsofu stop being childish ka! We have enough drama with Kansundila’s endlessly useless trips costing us dearly and we do not need ifya bupuba from you, alah. Kanshi icilufumo chobe and head are all full of nothing but ubwali?

  24. I have the copy of the resignation letter that GBM left at ZNBC, my job is to hand to it to the national assembly liaison officer first thing monday morning.i plan to be at his door at 7:59 am. I hope the ECZ set this bye-election date soon.

  25. I am shocked at how people are taking domestic violence from a public figure so lightly/…

Seriously political affiliation aside what most of you are saying is that its better you batter your wife than lose your job…

Get it right money is not everything when that guys time comes to be stuck in BED with his condition it will be his family to take care of him…not Sata not PF not Banda not MMD not HH and well not PF

  26. And the Post quoted Sata as saying that his crop of indisciplined MPs (including the rebel MPs) are those who came from other parties such as MMD and FDD. This included GBM since he was the basis of the topic and he came from MMD. So a Sata e tafula ngako pali GBM. Now that GBM has played a fast one on Sata, what is Sata going to say? And what will be the relationship between the two? Can only happen in PF, such comedy!

  27. By the way when Sata said in the Post that all pockets of indiscipline in the PF come from MMD, did he forget that he came from MMD too or it is just the usual unintelligent Sata talk aka kubwata bwata?

  28. Imwe a mbuya ku kasama, is this the best Bemba material that you can deliver to parliament?
If you don’t have good material for now, you can borrow bane.

  29. GBM 41-43, i like your insight. Ati ‘a Sata e tafula ngako’. hahaha….Kwasala GBM lomba nae awezhyemo, nkhani ikaliko pafume vinyinji apa….

  30. Chi-ka.la GBM in politics to benefit and not serve. He makes a small loss and he wants to quit coz he couldn’t reap what he expected. Just resign ma****er and spare us all this commedy, you’re not fit enough to make laws for us!

  31. GBM is the biggest piece of $hit I’ve ever seen. He’s an attention seeking, obese and conceited who-re! Despite the cash he claims to have, he’s a fontini inside out.

  32. On whose principles is GBM thriving on nowadays. To resign is a matter of self principle and not an outcome of consultations but from ones heart. In Europe people reign on principle and are not asked to by anybody. Suppose he fails to perform to the expectations of the electorate, who are they going to blame since they are claiming to be behind hind him in sin or violence? He will earn respect by thriving on his mind and not on what makes others happy as he DONATES and finance others’ egos
