MMD Youths go for Rupiah

The youths are optimistic that President Banda will do well because of good policies his Government has put in place to empower youths.

District Youth ChairmanMacpherson Mumba says President Banda’s Government has clearly demonstrated and set aside an agenda for young people’s development.

Mr. Mumba says the youths are now empowered to effectively contribute to the development of the country.

He says most youths in the country are self-reliant because they are beneficiaries of resources from the Youth Empowerment Fund and from the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC).

Mr. MUMBA has also urged youths in the country to play a key role in this year’s elections by ensuring that President Banda is given a fresh mandate in office.

Mr. Mumba told ZNBC News in Mufulira that youths should not be used as tools of violence by selfish political leaders.

The MMD youths in the border town have also declared their support for President Banda and vice president George Kunda at the forthcoming MD party convention.

  1. Which youths? These are archaic campaign gymnastics. Why claim to represent ALL youths when you are just expressing your own personal view.

On one hand, bawesu ba #1 Kuya Bebele, please avoid vulgar language even where you dont agree. Just react in a sober manner. Zambia chalo cesu bonse.

  2. I was in a drinking place in Ndeke Village when this item came on the 19hrs news. Every demanded that the bar man switch to the Wolves vs Spurs game. The bar man tried to put up some bravodo, but gave as some patrons threatened to jump over the bar and sort him out.

  3. I wonder why so much time is put in praising Rupiah with this and that development. I have been to Mufulira as recently as Thursday for a funeral, you can cry when you see youths begging to eat from funeral houses, maybe thats being “self reliant”

  4. This Mumba chap is sick.which youths has Rupiah empowered?? Does he live in Zambia? Poverty and unemployment levels are skyrocketing and the brat is daydreaming wanting to be recognised. Ba suntwe ba MMD ba ngani chimwise.

  5. number 6, my thinking too. LT, your title is misleading. One would think the youths attacked RB
