NSCZ to meet FAZ

National Sports Council of Zambia chairman Chifumu Banda

The National Sports Council of Zambia will soon engage the Football Association of Zambia on the inclusion of a vote of No Confidence notice on the agenda of the FAZ AGM.

This follows FAZ’s refusal to include the motion on the agenda as agreed during a meeting held with FIFA last year.

National Sports Council of Zambia Chairperson CHIFUMU BANDA says the role of the National Council of Zambia and the ministry of Sports who attended a meeting in Zurich was to ensure the motion was included on the agenda.

BANDA said the Sports Council will issue a comprehensive statement on the matter.

He said in an interview that it is the wish of the Sports Council that the problems that have rocked FAZ come to an end for the development of football in the country.

On Saturday, FAZ Interim General Secretary SIMATAA SIMATAA said the Kalusha Bwalya led FAZ executive had rejected the vote of no confidence motion by Mazabuka United to be included on AGM agenda.

SIMATAA who is also Amakumbi Stars proprietor however said only Mazabuka United had written to FAZ to include the vote of no confidence motion at the March 26 FAZ Annual General Meeting and not the two thirds majority.

SIMAATA said the petitioners had therefore called for an Emergency Council Meeting in Ndola on March 25, 2011 for members to make their final decision.

And FAZ Vice President Boniface Mwamelo also confirmed that that only MAZABUKA united had written to the association and NOT the two thirds majority to have the vote of no confidence included as an agenda item at the March 26 AGM in Kitwe.

Mwamelo said FAZ was however still open to receive submissions and requests from clubs for inclusion on the agenda of the AGM.

  1. This FAZ circus now seem like the UPND/PF Pact circus. Why not allow the guys finish their term. 2012 is just a few months away….!

  2. BA DAA BASimata Simata, we dont need you…just leave GREAT KALU ALONE we knwo how broke you are and you need somemula from FAZ

  3. iwe chifumu banda, kamanga, na simata mwaba ifyenu nifi tabafumya ba lt yamo ama words nga namweba ifyo tamwaumfwapo. lekeni ba Kalu ba pwishe term. ninshi ukuleta comfusion mu game. atase bane

  4. I thought these guys agreed that any member could raise this issue. At no time was the two thirds majority raised. This is a members’ motion and only the voting will require the two thirds majority. Kalu and company are being cheeky over this issue. So, if two thirds of the majority ask for the motion, won’t that automatically mean that the motion would have been voted on? What voting will then be required? It would also render the AGM null and void since the members would not have confidence in the people leading FAZ.

  5. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Simataa has stroke because of over-dose of traditional medicines. 2 weeks ago I saw him buying a black rabbit at in Chisamba’s research farms. I wondered why he asked 4 times if the rabbit was pure BLACK. Yes I am talking about SIMATAA, the same guy on the picture above.

  6. If Kalusha and those of you who are supporting him blindly go ahead this will bring a lot of promblems for the game in Zambia I’am not a football fun I just feel pity for those that love this game.

  7. No. 4,5 HEY you are right. Munaile and those executive members thought by resigning Kalusha will be forced out but it has worked out against them I can imagine the frustration they’re going through.

  8. The problem we have is that the pipo we ve entrusted with removing Kalusha are DULL. Kalu is too sharp to be removed by these guys. Fifa asked them to put in a vote of no confidence IF, and i repeat IF, they thought Kalu Should be removed. And in doing so should follow the faz statutes. These pipo new that faz statutes does not constitute a vote of no confidence and went ahead to use it. there argument is that kalu new and he raise in zuirich does not hold water becoz even I cannot advise them how to remove me from office. this is a check mate. these pipo just talk too much and the boy is able to read were they are going and hence plan his defense. just wait 4 his tenure to finish coz you guys have failed

  9. The best thing is to let the current office bearers test their popularity at the meeting. If the councilors allow them to continue, then it will strengthen their case. If not then they should each as individuals decide their next course of action. After all, democracy is not just for government but for all other organisations where elections are used to usher people into office.

  10. In great footballing nations, only players that ve brot honours to their countries are highly respected; great nothing galu is worshipped just for scoring goals here and there. Great galu bn 2 africa cup more than 6 tyms what has he won? Ba banda naba simata pls tulubuleni akamuntu kamo fye katuteke fine. Galu puppies get a life stop primitivity

  11. 15…………….says!!! Can you lecture me about the soccer administration success of the following:

    1. Simataa Simataa at UNZA stars, City of Lusaka, Amakumbi Stars, as FAZ president.
    2. Andrew Kamanga –is it Kabwe warriors

  12. #15 bupuba bweka bweka Football is a team game. Kalusha can’t win what the team has lost. Your thinking is extremely childish

  13. IT IS TRUE THAT WE DONT KNOW WHAT WE HAVE UNTIL WE LOSE IT,BUT IT IS ALSO TRUE THAT WE DONT KNOW WHAT WE HAVE BEEN MISSING UNTIL IT ARRIVES
