No pact with PF – NMPP

Share

National Movement for Progress Party (NMPP) Interim Secretary Logan Shemena has refuted claims that the party will form a pact with the Patriotic Front -PF.

The Party says it will not enter into pact with any political party because alliances have proved to be a failure in Zambia.

Mr. Shemena says at no time has his party met with the PF to discuss the possibility of an alliance.

Mr. Shemena was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.

He has urged Zambians to disregard media reports that NMPP and the Patriotic Front (PF) are planning to form an alliance.

And PF Secretary General, Wynter kabimba could not comment on the matter.

Recently, the NMPP appointed Former Finance Minister Ngandu Mangande as interim president of the party.

  1. ba ngandu magade nabena!!!!!!! u dont have to be president to contribute positively to national development!!!! NMPP is not goin anywhere!! He should have remained in MMD or Joined UPND

  2. The problem is that a lot of our so called leaders cheat themselves by thinking that they are very popular. This new party needs a lot of time to become a national party. Right now its only known in Lusaka. Lusaka is not Zambia and to win an election you need presence throughout the country. All these parties like PF know this fact and thats why they have started talking about rigging because they know they are destined to lose the elections. Very naive chaps who think they can win an election from one region.

  3. first of all, who actually made the claim?
secondly, why do some journalists give reports about what some politician has said without verifying the facts?

  4. Magande should just go to his farm starting ploughin for the coming season. He should forget about Wining elections. We dont want him.

  5. some briefcase political parties are also taking advantage of the pact’s failure……guys….bola panshi…you are still breastfeeding.tamulapya

  6. Who is National Movement for Progress Party (NMPP)? Is another party has bribed like the Mumba saga that gobbled K15 Million corrupt money from the MMD which Mulongoti accepted that they gave a donation to a sister party.

Shame on Logan Shemena, i just hope the Auditor General will start auditing Zambia Intelligence Agency books so that people like Edward Mumbi and you are known for misusing their money to abuse them like this.

    You I.DIOT

  7. Chapwalala pa Zed zoona,PF should be licking its wounds now, they thought UPND was going to allow them with their nonsense.

  8. Ba # 01 Doctor, so it better for you to advise Magande than Sata or HH, why are we Zambian blinded by this thing of Sata being President of Zambia. Surely when the rest of the World is asking the Oldies to step aside, Zambians are doing the opposite.

  9. Where are all the P.F kaponya’s today after they can now see Magande was bringing them NO VOTES from southern province.
    THE BOAT HAS SUNK

  10. Magande is not popular in Chilanga Constituency. If he disputes this fact,I bet let him stand in Chilanga this year.I advise Winter Kabimba not to waste his time drawing up a MoU with nonentities like NMPP.Sata is clearly winning this year.Muzalila

  11. i knew Magande has morals than the entire PF,Magande has morals like UPND who knows what they want,i can see PF thugs are deparate with their Sata coz they thot Magande would accept easily today they want to insult him after giving praise,PF if you have nothing on the agenda stop name calling your friends who mean well to zambia

  12. Quarrels, name calling, courts cases, insults, fault finding ………………………… the list goes on is the game for the PF President. Him is very perfect and does not make mistakes at all. A state president in him is a far fetched dream. ITS TOO LATE, old man go in the village and tell your grand children stories about freedom fighting, policing, monkey tricks, Russian scandal and many others. You have faught a good fight Mr SATA, you have run a good race and now is the time for you to rest. KALEBALIKA mwa chitulika village in MPIKA

  13. What has happened to Sata? He has become mute lately. And trumpet henchman Kabimba W is gone under too! Viva UPND! You can’t cheat the Youth of today!

  14. ZAMBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLOT 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!KALOMBWANA KACHEENDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!VOTE UPND!!!

  15. #16 What do you want Sata to talk about, so that he iz accuzed of being in favour of homosexuality?

  16. donchi kubeba ngatwa amba nidonchi nakubeba…………pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  17. DONCHI KUBEBA that Sata is not presidential material!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DONCHI KUBEBA that PF is rooten and finished less we cry and DONCHI KUBEBA otherwise our king cobra will colapse DONCHI KUBEBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!NII ZIIIII!!!! UPND MULILO>>>DONCHI KUBEBA BA SATA ATI NABAPWA MU POLITICS

  18. # 18 We want Sata to come out in the open to tell the nation which law supports homosexuality in Zambia. Let him clear the air because we the Zambian people want to know.

  19. What is this Donchi Kubeba? From the look of things, it was a PF strategy not to tell the UPND about the date the Pact would break till the nation only had two months before elections. Sharp UPND inteligence got the meaning too fast. The real phraise is “DON”T KUBEBA”, meaning Do not tell them. Twalumimona nomba ba PF.

  20. Cant UPND just concetrate on campaining for its party and HH instead of attacking SATA since you have declared that you have pulled out of pact…SATA is a matured man, when asked to comment on HH,he refused and said was concerned about addressing poverty/unemployment levels in zed.HH was attacking SATA yesterday on MUVI TV,he is a yet to learn many things about politics.I suggest UPND forms a PACT with ADD then MILUPI be PACT president since he is MP,more learned than HH and has vast experience in public and political field..will you UPND accept this GOOD proposal made? MILUPI was parliamentaly public accounts committee chairman recently B4…

  21. On “National Movement for Progress Party (NMPP) Interim Secretary Logan Shemena has refuted claims that the party will form a pact with the Patriotic Front -PF” that is very good and keep it up. I however hope you will reconsider your “The Party says it will not enter into pact with any political party because alliances have proved to be a failure in Zambia” position.

Also “… the NMPP appointed Former Finance Minister Ngandu Mangande as interim president of the party” who appointed Mr Ng’andu MAGANDE and when are you all NMPP characters going for a convention so that you democratically vote for elected leaders — and depart from the PF culture of appointing people to positions thereby frustrating competition in your party.

Be blest and vote for HH ad…

  22. I’m NOT a PF supporter. However, honestly, does PF need NMPP?? I think it is the NMPP that needs PF. No wmder Winter Kabimba has not commented. Let us handle our politics in a mature way. There is no need for the press to go around giving PF a bad name. The truth is that both UPND and PF went into the pact with wide-open eyes. The pact has failed and because this has disappointed all Zambians who were looking forward to that both HH and Sata are at fault for failing their supporters. This mission of trying demonise Sata and PF alone is not fair. HH is equally to blame for raising people’s hopes and then pulling out. He shouldn’t have gone into the pact to start with – but ofcourse that is too much to expect from HH a man of no brains. Both Sata and HH are rubbish. It’s sad RB is…

  23. @Maestro Hhehhehhehhe. How are you cousin? Hope you fine. Comment on:And UPND has set March 19, 2011, as the date for launching their presidential and parliamentary campaigns for this year’s general elections.” If this is true we request the leadership to consider the Sabbath Day which is reserved for Holy purpose. We are given Six days (Sunday to Friday) to labor Seventh Day is the Lord’s holy day.

  24. There is no legislation that states it is illegal to be gay or lesbian, therefore Sata was right to say the Zambian constitution recognizes Gays and lesbians. Zambian constituition does not discriminate which therefore makes it acceptable to every zambian. Unless such a time it is specifically mentioned that gayism is illegal, it remains legal. Not even the christian president FTJ found it necessary to amend the constitution yet you want to fry an opposition leader for a law which he can currently no do much except to interpret it as it is

  25. #29 – KABWE – I hear you. I don’t when these moronic, satanists will stop pretending they are pure enough to judge other people. There is a slowly creeping insanity towards a de-facto theocratic dictatorship and bullying of other people. We talk about Islam and its relationship to terrorism and yet there is a more sinister terrorism within Christianity. Zambia is a secular state and everybody has equal inalienable rights to coexist with other individuals and practice those rights, including homosexuals. Sata is absolutely right and has my full support. I have worked in the HIV/AIDS sector for the past 15 years and I’m passionate about this subject. Unfortunately very few people are courageous enough to speak out aginst these heavy-duty sinners pretending to be Jesus’ disciples!!

  26. 28 Village Concept I am glad that u r as concerned as I am over the purported UPND launch of UPND and HH’s campaigns for 2011 elections on the Holy Sabbath day.

Sadly, there is little we as SDAdventist’s can do to advise those in the UPND NEC to change their planned action except to ask all SDA UPND members to petition the party’s leadership to change their scheduled rally to Sunday 20th March 2011.

In light of this, I am requesting all UPND sympathisers, like myself, and UPND members to petition the UPND NEC and UPND NMC at large to consider re-scheduling their said Sabbath day rally slated for this weekend to Sunday the following day.

Be blest all and vote for HH and UPND to form GRZ Administration this 2011.

  27. Napapa sana ifilechitika pa zed. Even brief case patries think they will rule Zambia. What is it that all these Party presidents think of Zambians. Maybe they think that we are fools who just vote blindly. The other guy, Elias Chipimo is campaining in the wrong place. HE is going around USA talking to Zambians who have no relevance to the situation in Zambia and will never vote in the next election. He should be holding campain meetings in Senanga or Mansa so that he can popularity and meetings in Orlando and Atlanta.

  28. # 29, maybe you can put this straight. What has the impact of Chinese got to do with the Danish and why bring gays in that meeting of Chinese impact on Zambians. Are the Chinese a threat to Danish gays or is it that Chinese dudes are hammering each other in the back or is it Sata they want to bend over. Yanka.

  29. #32 Adventist Party, you mean that is why UPND loses elections because the election days are held on Saturdays? But imwe ba Kaonde.. Do not tell the man who is carrying you that he stinks

  30. If pipo were really for a change in this country they shudnt b forming these tuntemba parties. they just show how greed they are. Sure do u have to b president to contribute to national development??????? kanshi naine nalapanga iyandi neka.

  31. Another votes split is southern province. Pity on UNPD. Viva PF. PF does not need an alliance to win this year’s triapatite elections. Ala!! It will be a landslide victory for PF. Viva Magande!!

  32. HH is very immature and full of pride for nothing. He will never go anywhere and this is his end of his political carear.

  33. Tumbi tuma party lishina fye, nama elections yafika lwalanya kuti nabalifye beka ati niba presidential candidate tekanyeni, bola panshi.
