Hope for Human Rights has questioned the criteria used to mount a mobile hospital at the MMD convention currently taking place in Kabwe at Mulungushi University.
Executive Director Mark Chanda wonders how government property such the mobile hospital can be mounted at a political party gathering such as the MMD convention.
Mr Chanda has since challenged health minister Kapembwa Simbao to explain the criteria used to take the mobile hospital to an MMD party gathering.
He adds that the health minister should explain whether the mobile hospitals are available for hire by individual organizations.
Mr Chanda says should explain further how the mobile hospitals are suppose to be used.
President Rupiah Banda on Saturday launched the mobile hospitals in Chongwe district.
QFM
Zambians, you are yet to see the nefarious unraveling of RB and MMD.
Oh, this is one function of mobile hospitals that was not used their defence. Chilengwe needs to use this in defending the neccessity of these truck and trailors. It is good to hear that when there is a large garthering no matter its political persuasion, a mobile hospital can be surmoned. I must add here that it is ideal to have one each time we have an international footbal march at Nkonkola stadium. I now support these veihicles but the argument about their large numbers still remain. In the end its a question of how many such hospitals should we get at the expence of permanent hospital.
Simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they had to take the mobile hospital to the convetion for emergence cases since some people like George Kunda are sick. Chiluba has a perpetual heart problem which has miraculously healed since the death of LPM. Additionally, convetions are usually associated with violence and hence asort cases. They thought Mpombo, Shakafuswa, Mulongoti, Magande, Msoni and Kavindele would attend the convetiion so they could demonstrate properly how the mobile hospital work after beating them up. It’s good the guys did not show up at the convetion. It would have been catastrophic for them. Hahahahahahahahahahah kekekekekekeke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the other thing if they start assaulting each other as we know that’s their nature BA FI FI KA LA BA MAMBALA
Don’t worry soon they will be at a PF rally.
@3
There won’t be any violence since most candidates are sole and most of them if not all are endorsed by RB and those that wanted to challenge Rupiah’s favourites have been sidelined, fired, suspended, expelled etc. There is NO DEMOCRACY at all, not even a bit of it.
This Chanda . What makes him think that politicians are not Zambians who deserve medical care? In fact the majority of the delegates are from rural districts and this maybe their best chance to access medical services. Dude, its mobile hospitals. They can go anywhere as long as there is need. No one needs to justify to you. I have seen mobile toilets at PF rallies. Why hasn’t Chanda questioned the wisdom behind mounting them there when there are so many Zambians without toilets? PF kaponyas are becoming more and more noisier. Are they not suppose to be doing each other yakumbuyo? Sata, kabimba, chomba, Mpundu, bwalya-empty tins rolling on a rocky surface
Zambia Twasebana – a quote from Kapwepwe MHSRIP
Do MMD members pay taxes? If they do, then they are entitled to have those mobile hospitals at the convention. The will, I am sure, also be availed at the PF convention … whenever that will be!!! Talk about real issues not this one. Party cadres are also Zambians … though am not sure about PF cadres.
Executive Director Mark Chanda
You must be a dull chap.Even my 3 year old daughter knows the use of a hospital.
Ati ‘what criteria’, what kind of thinking is this?Go back to school you im.becile.
Ba LT naimwe dont just publish whatever any kaponya vomits.
Can somebody please enlighten me on PF’s health policy and how they intend to fund it?
# 11 VJ Rigger, I appreciate you concern with Chanda. Not long ago he supported the defence of human rights related to homosexuality. Today he will not support the idea of a right to health or the prudence of bringing health care close to where multitudes are gathering. I don’t mind partisan NGO’s since even MMD has some irritating ones but one gets concerned when they goof. Its okey for LT to publish these these things. Imagine, until now I still believed these trailors were a waste of money.
People you have misunderstood the article. Its not like the person doesnt understand the use of a hospital, V.J Rigger AH. The fact is why should MMD convention have the use of public facilities to themselves? It is the same as closing an entire hospital to the public.
This mobile hospital parked at Mulungushi solely for MMD will not be accessible to other members of the public in Kabwe. That is what the grievance is about. Use your heads.
#12 Chimunya
Not even sata knows their health policy.Ni maimwene mune and God for us all, and funded by printing more money and stuffing it into their pockets.
There were more than 1,500 Zambians at this venue. Are they not entitled to health care? Why are we in the habit of raising unnecessary tiffs. What value does this discussion add to the development of this country?
#14 Nubian Princess
MMD members are tax payers and are members of the public. Please understand that the MH shall be used in public gatherings and remote parts of the country. As in this case, there is a public gathering at Mulungushi hence their presence. It is upto the convenors of any gathering to ask for the presence of this facility. ok?
#18 in that case then there should be mobile hospitals at all schools, colleges, stadiums, funerals, rallies, taverns etc, because people are gathered there right?
In the west world its a routine that such services are readily available such big gathering like this convention because in case of emergency treatment should be within reach to save life. Think of a situation where someone is beaten and bleading to bring that person Kabwe General Hospital you a lot of time. Maybe, the right question which should be asked here is not the Red Cross to carry out such tasks. In the most western countries you have such organisation which carry out these duties and they are not questionable. So if the mobile hospitals was bought for this intention then I rest my case but if not then the Minister has to explain how and why he took them there. For what I understand with these Mobile hospitals how they are used in China is when they are catastrophies
A good example was during the earthquake which hit china two years ago
#18 Maybe Nubian fake princess of nowhere knows PF’s health policy and how it will be funded?
Paramedic services are available in a lot of the western countries, are these just ambulances and being Zambia we are making them into something else?? if they are, then may be they are right to be there just in case they start beating each other.
What beats me is how do people allow themselves to be used this way????
#22 Chimunya – Leka ifyakunya apa. I cant stand people like you who cant argue constructively without insulting others.
Think with the head on your shoulders not your other head.
VJ Rigger are you really that incapable of being logical? You spend millions of Dollars of tax-payer’s money on this garbage justification being making quality health-care available to those in rural settings. To think that is reasonable to turn what you call a hospital into the equivalent of a stand-by first aid facility is both stupid and arrogant. Clearly your education has failed you and those you call Kaponya’s are actually using their reasoning capacity a whole lot better than you are.
#24 I take it you dont know PF’s health policy then, ba fake princess of nowhere but you have the cheek to criticise the present govt even when they build a new hospital like you did regarding the new hospital in Chongwe? I would suggest that YOU keep your si.lly jaundiced views to yourself and let those with a positive attitude towards our country have a meaningful debate.
#26 – Typical Zambian logic. Shooting down anyone who has other ideas other than your shallow ones. You are not even worth answering to freaking hater.
The freedom of speech on this blog adds very little to role information play in national development. I thought blogs such as this would be very useful if everyone using them exercised maturity and sincerity – which unfortunately lacks on this blog. Maybe I have been visiting a site not befitting my expectations. When an issue such as this (no matter how badly presented it is by the source) is presented, those with questions should be provided with real answers. Given the topic in question, I guess the issues being raised are around one fact: The government has launched these hospitals but most of us have no access to the policy governing them. Instead of just making wanton attacks at each other, can someone tell us were we can find this policy, so that we do not continue asking.
What I gather from PF cadres’ comments here is that they have finally acepted the mobile hospitals, am I right? Otherwise why criticise things that you have rejected?
What better way to demonstrate the value of a mobile hospital than at this convention?
Okay PF, let’s have some peace, if you have accepted these mobiles, we will ask Hon Simbao to allocate one to the postponed Copperbelt Province PF conference, looks like you may need one especially after the suspension of Sturdy Mwale who challenged Sata’s candidate last time. You will certainly need equipment for stitches at that convention.
FROM what I have at least one mobile hospital should be stationed at each of the graveyards in Lusaka. Too many people gather there these days…kuntu mwapususha ko abama heart attacks.
#26 Ati ideas! Dont make me laugh – what ideas have you and your like ever brought to this forum? All you ever do is make cynical negative comments about any positive development in the country like you did about the newly built hospital in Chongwe. Tell us what are pf’s plans for the health sector if they are so good, instead of spewing your usual caustic negativity here. I know you like to fool yourself that you are a ‘princess’ ( which just shows how infantile your thinking is, as a grown up mature woman would surely want to be a queen) but dont fool yourself about having ‘alternative ideas’ because judging from your posts I serious doubt your brain’s capability of coming up with an idea of any value whatsoever.
#26 – You sound like a bitter neurotic b.i.t.c.h* If you are a man, you are even more pathetic.
Why attack other bloggers? How old are you, 14?
@7. When were you born my friend? You remind of the old good days when i used to observe at some point in time people cleaning public places and as school kids then, we will be sent to mutendere clinic with holes and slashers to go and clean the place. At ni Humanism week. Nthawi ya kaunda.
Of course they need mobile hospitals at the MMD convention especially for George Kunda whose health is in the doldrums. Maybe Banda was hoping that when he gets Mabenga to announce the freezing of the MMD veep post, Kunda will suffer a massive hear attack needing a mobile hospital to take him to the airport for airlift to Morningside in South Africa to caput!
excellent 15, the chanda guy has gone further to ask if the minister of health if the mobile hospitals are available for hire- VJ rigger and chimunya and other i.m.b.e.c.i.l.e.s. cant read all that all off to shoot an intelligent query! Did HH have one at his rally in Kanyama? Does the mobile hosp belong to MMD as a party? If you address these issues we shall keep quiet. How much did MMD pay to hire this mobile hosp while millions are dying for want of medical attention in the same period? Kuyipa pamenso!
#35 Ma mobile hospitals ya wama manje ka? Aren’t you the same b.uggers who were against them now you are agreeing that they will save lives? That means the govt was correct all along. I am glad that you now agree with the govt that in addition to the new hospitals being built these mobile hospitals will play an effective role in improving the delivery of healthcare to ordinary Zambians. I shall definitely be voting for RB this time round and am sure the millions who will benefit from the provision of these vehicles will also do the same.
you f.o.o.ls ,they already bought them with tax payers money…it’s not like if people don’t agree with some bad decisions the government makes then they have to leave them to personalize the same. I keep thinking, are you people the best this country has? Then it explains why the country looks like a war torn place, look at examples of Rwanda, and how leaders have been progressive there…you ever boast about development which is minimal compared to the resources we have. You are the same f.o.0ls who want to be praised for doing half of what you get paid for.
Iwe kachikala ka chimunya, utekanye maningi, tizakungena mo ma harder pa last ka, dont think you are smart, and dont deliberately misconstrue the legitimate question raised by many bloggers here more so the princess who you have chosen to call fake. Answer kamakandi, are these MH be available to any other party wishing to do a convention? If the answe is NO then machende yako. You very foolish.
I smell a rat on these mobile hospitals, are they not going to be treating people in exchange for votes, shame on Banda for manipulating zambians who pay tax more than these leaders.
#15 Nubian Princess: thanks, you always use your head. Yes, MH are supposed to be for public use, not MMD gatherings. They are supposed to be available to people can not access health facilities, especially in rural areas where people walk long distances to get to the clinic. During the time the MH was parked/packed at MMD meeting how many people died in Kabwe rural areas because they could access health facilities?
#13 and 16: PF launched it manifesto last week. If you can access it read it. #16 exposing your ignorance right?
sometimes we have to learn to question the intentions of those that question issues.MMD is a party formed by Zambian People and those mobile hospitals are meant for the people to be serviced. It migt only be strange if at all the gov stops opposition parties from using them on their conventions or rallies,at this time we can fully question the motives of the gov.
#36 Lemba dont pretend to be naive, you know very well that such a thing will never happen at least in this generation where the opposition will be given such an an incentive, look its all politics of poverty here, fear of the unknown, cant yu see that RB went thru without no one challenging him, WHY, coz all thhoz that had balls to do so were ****ed from the onset, Dont be another chimunya otherwise uzaenda pa monk square wher we shall deal with you squarely.
#36, banzatu ku kamba kamba chabe, no serious thought before criticising. Now they appreciate the mobile hospitals, even Masebo admitted that she was one of the critics until she saw what can be done with them. Deep down their hearts even the hard core critics know which way the vote is going this year, just that they are trained not to say anything else.

Refer to my last sentence @18.
