The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has observed that the clashes between rival political party cadres whenever they meet are expected as they are two warring sides.
EFZ executive director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza says the tension between political parties only needs a neutral voice to mediate and bring them together in unity.
He noted that the Church plays a pivotal role in ensuring that there is proper dialogue between political parties to help uphold political morals.
Reverend Mwanza says that EFZ will soon roll out a programme to address the inter-party dialogue meeting to ensure that there is harmony and unity amongst political parties.
He added that the programme will also help foster peace and stability in the country ahead of the general elections.

Arrest William Banda Saidi Awali and there will be peace.
#1 Deja Vu, that is worth considering provided they do the same to Mr Sata.
The biggest threats to the Zambian peace are Sata and William Banda. If only these two can be done away with then Zambia will be peaceful once more. These two do not know peace. All that they know are insults and thuggery. So lets start with these two threats to Zambian peace!
Gentlemen lets patriotic and sober Sata has been in elections before but there were no such clashes with MMD caders.Serious clashes with MMD cadres started when Rupia Banda took over.MMD cadres started clashing beating journalists first, then UPND cadres in Mufumbwe and Chilanga now with PF cadres in Lusaka.Im dissapointed wiht Rev Pukuta Mwanza for filure to reason. That MMD PF cadres clashes are expected because thy are rivla paties but why were they not clashing during Mwanawasa time, or during the 2008 BY ELECTION? the reintroduction of William Banda is major reason for interparty clashes.Because they seem to be tolerated by Rupia Banda it will be very difficult to stop the violence by dialogue not even by prayers.Lets tell Rupia to stop his cadres from plugnng Zambia into violence
Rev. Pukuta, you sound like you are lacking something from the ground.. I was in zambia 2 weeks ago,, see what MMD has done to the media ZNBC,, Does Chimbas programme support peace in the country. I agree with #4Masase, Banda he is tolerating violence in our nation by allowing such programmes on publc media.
“Mutu ukakula sulewa nkonyo” – “A big head cannot avoid punches”. These two parties have all grown big and are at par. Only the ‘rule of law’ and not the ‘rule of man’ can stop these crashes. Let the head of state take a led in stopping this!
(*)(*)(*)=:)=:)
we dont want Zambia to be another Ivory Cost, pliz EFZ, and other organizations, do something about this mess twapapata
No violence under any circumstances. Anybody who resorts to violence shall be made to account for it.
