Zesco Gets Moroccan Date In Caf Confed Cup

Zesco United will host MAS of Morocco in the Caf Confederation Cup third round first leg at the month-end.

The Ndola side drew MAS from the historic Moroccan city of Fez following the draws made on Sunday afternoon at Caf headquarters in Cairo.

This will be Zesco second Arab opponent in Caf club competition this year after Egyptian Al Ahly ejected them from the Caf Champions League two weeks ago.

Zesco will host MAS in the first leg on May 28 at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola and later travel to Fez a fortnight later.

Winner over both legs qualifies to the Confederation Cup group stage that kicks off in July.

Zesco were relegated to the Confederation Cup after their failure to qualify to the Caf Champions League group stage.

  1. i think zesco needs to protest with their feet by boycotting. it was unfair for caf to just brush the billy incident aside. we need justice!

  2. This CAF and even big brother FIFA actionz leave so much to dezire. What iz more serious, Congo DR’s TP Mazembe using an alleged ineligible player or Egypt’s Al Ahly Fanz pelting Zesco playerz while on the pitch with fire-works or whatever? But TP Mazembe haz been ejected from the CAF Champions League while Al Ahly have just been fined.

  3. CAF should treat all the team fairly. ZESCO should put the name of Zambia higher by beating MAS of Morocco both at home and away.

  4. TP mazembe thrown out only because no arab team was going to beat them..FIFA and CAF officals corrupt and its high time CAF headquarters moves from cairo………
