MMD denounces Fr Luonde over Chanda Chimba

1. To begin with, Fr. Luonde IS NOT A CATHOLIC PRIEST, he is AN ANGLICAN PRIEST. Anyway I cannot waste my time anymore to comment on MMD angry and hungry cadres!!!!!!!

2. Only a person who is a f.o.o.l and devoid of wisdom and intelligence can claim to learn anything from Chanda Chimba. No sane or decent person can relish Chanda Chimba’s programme and conduct.

   Sadly also, ZNBC is no longer a professional media broadcasting house. It is no longer representing the interests of national decency – it has become a political party broadcaster.

3. I wonder what what will become of this Chanda Chinba when MMD is booted out power this year – will the guy run around from by a mile? some people have no fore sight.

You ask Mike Mulongoti on this who has warned Sata before that unless he stops lampooning Mwanawasa and others, he has full medical records of Sata to expose.

Like you called on Mwanawasa to quit politics on the basis of his Blood Pressure, Sata with a Heart Attack, Prostrate cancer,Thyroid disease, permanently raised cholestro levels and a Damaged Bladder is more endangered than Mwanawasa he called to quit politics. 11. Those calling for the banning of Chanda Chiimba’s documentary should first ask themselves why The Post and Fred M’membe have had a free reign insulting succeeding heads of state. Well, the answer is simple, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. I wonder what sort of change these vengeful PF cadres are advocating for when they want to take us back to the stone ages where the press will be muzzled. You are too happy when The Post calls others fools, dogs, nicompoops and all sorts of other unpalatables, but you wince when someone else says the same about your Sata. What is good for the goose is surely good for the gander!

12. Simple advice to Chanda Chiimba’s detractors: Even if you do not have a DSTV subscription, there are still other free channels e.g. Mobi, CBC, TBN and Muvi. You have an option of tuning to other channels when this documentary is running. Surely, no one forces you to watch?

13. Is the father telling this nation the Post’s daily insults of the Head of State and other govt officials is worth than the facts that Chanda Chimba III’s programme brings out. I remember some bishop threatening to take legal action against CC and I think some cobra has taken this route already. 14. A message for Fr. Richard Luonde. Was this Priest in a comma when Fr. Frank Bwalya publicly insulted RB’s marriage to Madam Thandiwe. Bwalya, The Post and their clique in politics pelted unprintable insults to RB then. In Zambian cultures, we all know that when one loses a dear wife through death, tradition allows the man to remarry with full approval of his children. Bwalya & Mmembe ignored this in preference for unleashing scorn & insults on a respectable marital union. Catholic Bishops and Priests opted to remain moot over Bwalya’s unpriestly language. When Chanda Chimba reveals the truth to expose Sata, a clique of Catholics spring-up to defend aspirations of the perceived promoters of Bemba supremacy in Zambian politics. Fr. Luonde has just exposed himself as the greatest hypocrite.

    • What was the insult? Speak with facts and evidence. Talking about someone’s promiscuity like Banda did with Thandiwe when she was going to his house to do his daughters’ hair and privately sleeping with her, how does that culminate into an insult? Didn’t that happen? State one insult that the Post or Fr Bwalya said about Banda, or else you should consider yourself a BIG FAT LIAR.

Only a few Churches of the Eastern Rite are Catholic, for example, Catholic Greek Orthodox, Catholic Syrian Church, Catholic Serbian Church, etc. They are catholic churches but do not belong to the Western Rite. The Anglican Church is very very different from the Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Church of the Eastern Rite. So #10, do not just bla bla bla anyhow.

Chances are that you are also a beneficiary of the education the catholic church has offered to so many zambians and by the way, even as l am talking , people of all walks of life including politicians want their children to have a catholic education and in the health sector, their quality services are second to none. 30. It seems the clergy in zambia are being one sided. They are all heaping blame on RB, making it clear who their preferred candidate is. What about the schools, hospitals and roads being built and worked on, are the priests surely turning a blind eye to that which is so vivd to the eye? in all fairness, credit should be given where its due. The govt, like priests, can never be all perfect. it can deliver in some areas and fail to deliver in other areas. it is what makes us human after all. New York was not built in a day. 33. Why hasn’t Chanda Chimba been highlighting issues of poverty? He is an embarassment to the fraternity of journalists. This is what hunger can do to some people. The program should be banned or Chanda Chimba should be ready for the consequences of his words and actions.

34. CC3 does not teach us anything, in fact we are actually learning from the Post through CC3. A teacher only teaches from an approved syllabus he is given, CC3 has taken it upon himself to remind us of what the Post used to say about Sata. If anyone is aggrieved, they can stop watching the programme, but that will not make the past editions of the Post go away. Talk of burying your head in the sand and since you can’t see the lion anymore, then it’s not there. CC3 should just carry on.

I had my first look at the Stand Up Zambia publication yesterday in Ndola.Interesting!If there is a valid observation of various media in the country it is the question regarding the issue of balanced and professional reporting.I want to believe The Post has some leaning towards Sata.ZNBC,ZDM & Times only parade MMD and grz.MUVI is down to earth and quite balanced.Given the 3 examples(2 private & 3 public) I would suggest MUVI to be highest on ethics,followed by the post who will always try to give space even to grz runting, and the publics to be the least on ethics.

Why not talk about the good the bad and the ugly things that have been bandied from the opposition, the church and the gvt. This issue is in today’s tabloids discussed in detail by an article by Prof Ken Mwenda(Senior Counsel at the World Bank). We are what we are now becoz of what we have done in the past. The character of a president is very important for a nation and its development. This is a big issue and a real one. Sata ranks last in this issue(Character and Stability) becoz of his many conflicting stands. No principles at all.
