The Bottom Road begins from Siavonga, Gwembe, Sinazongwe, and ends in Livingstone in chief Mukuni’s area.

Mr Banda pointed out that he is not ashamed to ask for votes from the electorates because of the developmental activities that are taking place within entire the country.

He noted that Southern Province should this time elect members of parliament so that they could be appointed to the ministerial position for them to have a wide talent in developing the country.

Mr. Banda appealed to the civil servants to vote wisely and give him a chance to complete his term of office as he has only served for three years.

Chief Sinazongwe of the Tonga speaking people thanked government for funding the bottom road which has been a major complaint among the Valley Tonga people since independence.

  1. “Mr. Banda said during the meeting with civil servants at Maamba High School that the signing of the contract will be concluded this week when the attorney General gives out his opinion on deal.”

Was the attorny general consulted when you gave the indians from sable transpost the chipata roads and your brother in law some roads in eastern as well ? was he consulted when the airport facelift was signed ?

  2. He’s just a desparate old F’OOL whose time outside of Jail is slowly diminishing as each day passes. Do not listen to this old fool, who even contradicts himself when he speaks (Just look at the statement above).

  3. How can he openly state that he is emabrking on this project in order to get Southern Province from the opposition? This is clear bribery. How is it that so much construction work is going to the Chinese? Don;t Yambians have capacity to construct roads? Shame on this nation!

  4. Mr Rupiah Banda, you are serving the 2 years to complete the official term for late Mr Levy Mwanawasa (MHSRIP). You did not win any elections for any presidential term, so if you are not sure that emabarrassment can happen at unexpected times, my advise sir, step down beofore it is too late. You have served the purpose for which you are in state house and there is no well meaning Zambian that is expecting anything more from you. Go back to your farm. In any case as soon as you will be given another therm, the only thing you can do best is flying. Zambia is on the ground and not in the air.

  5. THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CHIPATA ROAD FROM NYIMBA TO CHIPATA IS VERY DEPLORABLE,IT IS OF VERY VERY POORLY DONE AND IN MANY PLACES THE ROAD IS VERY UNEVEN.I BELEVE THAT THE ROAD WORK HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT BY SABLE TRANSPORT BUT HOW COULD THE GOVT HAVE GIVEN THE CONTRACT TO A TRANSPORT COMPANY WHO ARE NOT PROPER ROAD CONTRACTORS.DID THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AUTHORITY CARRY OUT A CHECK HOW THE ROAD WAS COMPLETED BEFORE PAYING OUT MILLIONS OF KWACHAS TO SABLE?THE ANSWER IS NO SO SOMEBODY MADE A KILL ON THIS POOR PROJECT. THE INCOMING GOVT OF PF MUST INVESTIGATE ALL THESE ROAD PROJECTS PROPERLY AND THE GOVT MUST GET HOLD OF THE CONTRACTOR TO GET THE MONEY BACK AS IT WAS THE PAYERS MONEY WHICH HAD BEEN SPENT.THIS AMOUNTS TO HIGH PROFILE CORRUPTION AND MUST BE TACKLED PROPERLY AT ALL COST

  6. I love you RB. God has blessed you prepare for the next 5years to lead this country forward. You are a miracle maker with Jesus help of cause. Those who were doubting about resurrection are shocked. Zambia has risen from shuckles to modernisation to the shock of doubting Thomases. Wondering where the money is coming from… Zambia of course. RB has eyes. ears and the well being to see the hidden treasure.God bless you.. Shame to SATAN. We shall never be led by the DEVIL. It tried God, failed Jesus, resurrected. never ever allow the snake to lead. Doom for you.

  7. regarding the Namafulu border post, the chief actually (also) said “there was need to speed up the opening of the border post which GRZ has already constructed….” and hoped GRZ would for once put its wallet where its mouth was regarding the construction of the bottom road which he had HEARD had funds approved (not yet funded!) for its construction.

  8. Immediately i saw a road contract to be signed , i knew its a chinese company that won the tender ahhh my foot these pipo are looting the economy. No. 6 MCB bottom road is just a name given to that particular road because its elevation compared to other roads in the nation is very low (under ) other rds

  9. Many Zambian “civil engineering” companies that win contracts to pave or construct roads do so on the cheap because they do not have qualified civil engineers. Local businessmen are making a lot of money through these scams that have been going on since 1964. I can even name them if anyone wants examples. The thickness of the concrete-bitumen layer is not directly proportional to the density of traffic. There is nowhere in the world where roads need repair of potholes just 3 months after resurfacing! The directors of these companies should be arrested.

  10. This buffoon Banda is everywhere…where was you the past 2 years..really laughable…hiring cheap Chinaman who can work on credit..where are they tenders for all these contracts??

  11. people, do not be proud for nothing!! we all would be proud to have our ow local engineers carrying out these projects but we all know the quality of work. its either our indeginous engineers are simply not up to scratch or their men at work have the liberty to put in shoddy work because they are not afraid of a non white / chinese or indian boss. unfortunately, this is OUR reality; so rb i encourage you to continue importing these contractors

  12. RB..this will earn you votes.not sata who ahs been insulting the Tongas all thru and yapping like a pregnant monkey..

  13. Hi l may not agree with the President RB, and much do l feel that things are not going well as a nation but He deserves some respect as a father of the nation.

  14. # 7 – Spot on, Zambia is on the ground and not in the air where Rupiah seems to have found himself sanctuary leaving us unattended to. He should just pack his god damn bags and leg it off to his village in Malawi. The man is such a painful joke.

  15. The caliber of comments is rather shallow. Lets stick to the point. What is a bottom road and what is the controversy around it? We are all stooping to the every slimy bottom that we are complaining about!

  16. presidential advisors are just as stupid as the president himself. Next the “president” will be announcing commissioning of Brothels with Dora as matron in charge!!!!!!

  17. You realize therefore considerably in terms of this topic, produced me personally believe it from numerous numerous angles. Its like men and women are not involved until it’s one thing to do with Girl gaga! Your personal stuffs outstanding. Always deal with it up!
