Libya Go Top of Group C

Libya moved to the top of Group C today after beating Mozambique 1-0 to end the latter’s interest in the 2012 Africa Cup qualifiers.

Rabiyah Lafi handed Libya the three points with a 30th minute goal to put a smile on their home fans in the trouble torn country.

Libya move from 8 to 11 points for at least 24 hours ahead of Zambia’s away game to Comoros tomorrow afternoon in Moroni while Mozambique stay third on four points after five games played ahead of their now formality game against Comoros in Maputo on October 8.

Zambia slip to second place with 9 points from four game and must win on Sunday to reclaim pole position in Group C with the qualifiers now set for a showdown finish when they host Libya next month.

  2. Ops, Zambia is no factor in the world. We just beat them in Harare! Just wait and see how Comoros will humiliate your useless players. We did it in Harare, why not Comoros? At least like Comoros, we have a local coach.

  3. Zambia will win because RB has done a lot for this national team. He is okay for a president. Not super good but just okay.

  4. Zambia wins today and next month with Mulenga back in squad we beat Libya at Konkola!@Zimbabwean Born …….ya and Zimbabwe is so good you have to sell your matches to pay players! Also you have a Chongwe (Chalimbana) trained waste-of-a-good-sperm excuse for a president….. congrats
