Super Division Round-Up: Arrows Beat GBFC

Red Arrows and Zanaco stayed put at the end of Faz Super Division Week 21 games played on Sunday.

Red Arrows 2-Green Buffaloes 1

Aggrey Chiyangi’s future as Buffaloes coach is uncertain after they lost 2-1 away to Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka today.

Bruce Musakanya put Arrows ahead with his fifth goal of the season in the 2nd minute before Mabvuto Daka equalized for Buffaloes just before halftime.

Arrows stylish midfielder Mwape Mwelwa added misery to Buffaloes woes with the winner five minutes from time.

The win was Arrows coach George Lwandamina’s second this season over his former charges after beating them 1-0 away in Week 6 this past April.

Zanaco 0-Green Eagles 0

Zanaco failed to do better than their 2-1 away to Green Eagles from the first leg played in April.

The two sides finished scoreless at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to see Zanaco stand still in 6th place.

Nakambala Leopards 2-Roan United 0

Nakambala’s quest for a first-ever continental berth still looks bright after they beat Roan United 2-0 in Mazabuka today.

Goals from Lameck Banda and Lubinda Mundia saw Nakambala rise from 8th to 5th on the table.
